I woke up the next morning with Bennys arms wrapped around my bare torso then I realized I'm not wearing a shirt. What we didn't do anything how'd my shirt get off! Then I look down and see my shirt resting in my lap so I grab it and slid it on over myself and Bennys arms that refused to move off my bare stomach without waking Benny. I stay laying on my back looking at Benny sleeping when his eyes open slightly. He sees me and smiles before kissing my cheek and snuggling his head onto my pillow bringing his face closer to mine. He leans in and kisses me quickly and throws me on top of him so I'm straddling his waist. I straighten my legs a bit and put my head in his chest before sitting up again.

Benny: what?

You: it's 10:00

Benny: so what

You: sandlot

Benny: not today

You: why?

Benny: we're going on a date. Now lay back down.

I playfully roll my eyes and lay back down this time with my head in his neck. He wraps his arms around me and I kiss his neck from time to time. Every time I'd kiss his neck he would tense up a little bit and let out a sigh which was kind of funny. We stay cuddling for a bit before we hear a knock at Bennys door so I roll off of him and sit on the end of his bed and Benny goes and sits at his table.

Benny: ya mom

Anne: I'm coming in

Benny: sure

His mom walks in and sees the two of us.

Anne: what are you two doing

You: Benny was showing me his baseball pictures

Anne: oh how sweet

She walks and grabs one of the pictures of a whole baseball team with Tigers jerseys and there's a grown man beside them all that looks a lot like Benny. Oh my god that's his dad. I smile at the picture and then I see Benny and Phillips sitting g beside each other I look at Benny with a smirk but my jaw dropped.

You: you played with Phillips

Anne: oh that kid he was such a brat

Benny: still is

Anne: oh your friends stopped by and asked were you were and I told them you were at the diner with Lilly.

Benny: mom there all gonna show up there now

Anne: that's there problem

I laugh at Anne and we both look back at the picture. She puts her finger on the older man and sighs.

Anne: that's Bennys father

You: they look a lot alike

Anne: they do don't they.

I nod and she smiles before a slight frown appears on her face.

Anne: he passed away a couple years ago

You: I know Benny told me I'm really sorry

Anne: I've gotten over it. Wait Benny told you?

You: ya he told me a few weeks ago when we had just became friends

I look back up and Benny who's staring at me smiling. I bring my attention back to Anne you begins to talk again.

Anne: wow he usually doesn't talk about him

You: oh well I know how it feels so maybe he thought he could rely on me.

Anne: what do you mean?

Benny: mom.

You: no it's ok. My dad passed away when I was 8.

Anne: oh I didn't know I'm sorry

She hugs me and I hug her back looking over at Benny with a confused face and he just shrugs.

You: I've gotten over sort of. I don't know anything about him though but I'll find out one day.

Anne: that's a great attitude.

She pulls away with a smile and stands up.

Anne: well I'll leave you two alone.

Benny: bye mom

She walks out and Bennys hugs me.

Benny: sorry about her

You: it's fine it's nice to have someone to talk to

Benny: hey what am I chopped liver

You: ehh

Benny: oh your dead

He picks me up and throws be on his bed before jumping on top of me and tickling me.

You: stop. Do you remember last time

I say I'm between laughs and he nods his head and continues tickling me causing my body to feel weak. I find all my strength and push him off and pin him to the bed.

You: stop tickling me

Benny: but it's funny

You: not for me

Benny: you were laughing

I roll my eyes and get off of him hearing him chuckle. I stand up and walk to the door.

Benny: we're are you going

You: to go get rest for our date

Benny: ok that's the only reason I'll let you go.

He gets out of his bed and kisses me while opening the door with our lips still attached then I pull away.

You: I'll see you in 20 minutes

I walk out of his house after saying goodbye to Anne and I walk to my house before saying hello to my mom and walking to my room to change. I change into this:

I leave my hair natural and I put on a pair of white low rise converse. I walk back downstairs and see my mom sitting on the sofa.

Mom: you look very pretty

You: I'm going on a date with Benny

Mom: we're

You: he hasn't told me

Mom: you two are so cute

We continue a conversation when I hear a knock on the door I answer it and see Benny.

Benny: hello Cathrine

Mom: hello Benny take care of her will ya

Benny: all ways

You: ok Benny let's go

Benny: have a nice day

And then we leave my house and start walking.

Benny: you look very beautiful

You: why thank you

Benny: your very much welcome.

You: we're are we going anywhere

Benny: the diner

You: so technically your mom wasn't lying to the boys.

Benny: not really I guess

We continue talking as we walk there, once we get there we sit down at a booth and a waitress brings us out menus.

Waitress: what can I get for you kids to drink today

She says it while harshly smacking her gum I can tell it's bothering Benny since that's one of his pet peeves.

You: I'll have a chocolate milkshake please

Benny: I'll have the same

She nods and walks away before Benny huffs.

Benny: god she was so annoying

You: I know I watched your face the whole time

Benny: does she not know how to chew with her mouth closed.

You: I'm gonna eat like that the entire day just to bug you.

Benny: you better not

I giggle and the waitress brings us out milkshake and asks for our order.

Benny: I'll get a hamburger and fries

You: umm I'll get a BLT sandwich and a side of fries please

Waitress: ok then

She turns around and walks back to the kitchen and me and Benny sit at the table talking. Our food arrives and we start eating before a bunch of people walk in. I turn around and look and I see all of Phillips team walking in, I quickly turn around before he sees me and look back a Benny you rolls his eyes at them. Then I hear someone yell my name and I turn around and see Phillips walking over leaving his team behind.

You; go away Phillips

Phillips: hey I just want to talk

He sits down beside me and puts his hand on my thigh.

You: get off me!

Phillips: calm down, look at you two going on dates and shit. I still don't understand why you chose Rodriguez.

Benny: shut up Phillips

Phillips: you don't get to tell me what to do

You: then leave.

Phillips: no I like it here

You: Phillips leave!

Phillips: no!

Benny: I think you should listen to her Phillips

Phillips: I'm not listening to some dumb girl

You: oh my god your such an ass

He grabs onto my thigh and squeezes it digging his fingernails into my skin.

You: Ow!

Phillips: don't talk to me like that you bitch

Benny: what the fuck Phillips!

Benny stands up and walks over to Phillips before pushing him off the bench and sitting next to me wrapping his arm around my shoulder and he's about to say something to me before Phillips had to talk.

Phillips: oh ok tough guy

Benny: I'd shut up if I were you

Phillips: what are you gonna do about it

Benny stands back up and pushes Phillips again and Phillips pushes him back. I grab Bennys arm and stand up pulling him towards me into a hug.

You: Benny don't be the bad guy

He wraps his arms around my waist and Phillips scoffs.

Phillips: that's right be the bitch

Benny: your gonna get your a-

You: Benny...

I say calmly and he shakes his head and leans his head on my shoulder. Phillips walks away and the waitress walks over to us who are still in each others arms.

Waitress: hate to ruin the moment but the total is 6 dollars and 32 cents

Benny: oh ya right

We pull away and Benny takes out his money and hands it to the lady who then takes it and walks away.

You: Benny I could've paid

Benny: no no no the girl never pays.

You: but-

Benny: nope no buts

I giggle and the waitress comes back and gives Benny his change back before I grab my purse and he looks at my leg before stopping me.

Benny: holy shit Lilly

You: what

Benny: Phillips did that

He points to my thigh that's all red and has bruises that already formed in the shape of fingernails.

You: ya but I'm fine

Benny: you should've let me beat his ass

You: no just be civil

Benny: god sometimes I wish you weren't so cute

I giggle and Bennys pulls me into him and kisses me before pulling away and grabbing my hand. We walk out of the diner and make our way in the direction of the Sandlot.

You: why are we going to the sandlot?

Benny: because and the boys are probably just finishing up.

We arrive at the Sandlot and see all of the boys sitting in the dug out drinking sodas. We walk over to them and Benny sits down before I realize there's no more spots open. I feel hands wrap around me and pull me down I look up and see Benny with a smile on his face. He wraps his around around my waist laying them on the top of my thighs and putting his face on my shoulder.

Squints: holy shit Lilly what happened

You: Phillips

Kenny: Phillips did that?

I know my head and all of the boys look at me or stand up with anger in there eyes.

Ham: and you did what about it?

You: Benny tried to beat his ass

Benny: but Ms. Perfect wouldn't let me

Yeah-yeah: well, well then we have to beat his ass

You: guys calm down it's just a bruise

Bertram: that Phillips gave you.

You: we are not having any fights ok

The all roll there eyes and scoff.

You: ok!

I hear a bunch of murmurs saying ok, when I feel a tap on my shoulder I turn around and see Timmy.

Timmy: are you sure your ok

You: ya I am thanks little man. Come here

I get off Bennys lap and stand up giving Timmy a hug but him being shorter then me I have to lean over a bit. I pull away and leave a kiss on his cheek before sitting back on Bennys lap.

You: your a good kid, stay that way ok

Timmy: ok

I smile before scooting back on Bennys lap and putting my head on Bennys shoulder as everyone is having a conversation. After a while everyone leaves and me and Benny are on our way back to our houses. Once we arrive Benny pulls me into his and kissing me. I smile and pull away before walking into my house. I walk to my mom and the two of us talk before I walk upstairs. I have a shower and change before laying in bed with my eyes wide open not being able to sleep again. After a few hours I look at my clock that now reads 3:00 am I sigh and turn around facing my window. I finally fall asleep about an hour after that
