《The Life Not Worth Living (HaikyuuxReader)》𝚂𝚑𝚎 𝙲𝚊𝚗 𝙿𝚕𝚊𝚢

It was the next day and you had awoke from your slumber in the manager's room since you were staying their, obviously. But your dumbass woke up at like 4 in the morning and practice didn't start until 6.
"Fucking dumbass." you whispered to yourself.
"It was you!" you said to the sun that hadn't even risen yet.
'No it was you!' (do u get it?)
"Fuck life." you grumbled as you grabbed a new set of clothes and made your way to le bathroom. First you had washed your face, fixed your hair and brushed your teeth so your were so fresh and so cleeean.
ahem..
Once you were all ready you decided to just go explore the school you were staying in for a little bit. So you started walking around, you found out where each team was staying and even found all the other gyms. By the time you were done with your own mini tour you made your way back to the main gym.
The nets were still up and some of the ball carts were still out, it was the perfect time for you to practice. You unconsciously approached the cart filled with volleyballs and picked one of them up. The ball twirled in your hand as you looked at the high volleyball net just a few feet ahead of you.
"Just a few serves, that's all I promise." you said to yourself.
But you mind was telling you not to, saying it was a bad idea, and that you were stupid for even being at this training camp. But your heart, well your heart had to disagree with your brain (lol what even is thinking?!).
Your heart was telling you that it would be okay, that their would be no harm in playing for a bit, and besides it's not like anyone would see you.

You approached the edge of the court 'Just a quick serve' you said to yourself, so you quickly threw the ball up and did a normal overhand serve. But your unconsciously aimed and made the ball land in the right corner.
And after that, you couldn't stop.
For the next hour or so you stood in the gym, doing all kinds of serves, underhand, overhand, even floats. Each landed exactly where they were supposed to and each one also packed quite the punch.
There was only one kind of serve you hadn't tried, a jump serve...
You had always had one of the best jump serves, but that was in junior high and you didn't know if you had gotten rusty.
'Just do it, there's no harm in trying.'.
"Just one last serve, then I'm done." you told yourself.
So you grabbed one last volleyball and approached the edge of the court, but this time you took a few steps back.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
You threw the ball up and slightly forward, then you ran forward.
Then you threw your arms back as you gracefully jumped up, it was one of your highest jumps yet.
And before you knew it your right hand (sorry to the lefties if any of you are reading this) was already swinging at the ball that had seemed to stop right there.
BAMMM
The sound echoed in the gym as you successfully fell back to the ground, barley making a sound as you landed. While the ball you had just hit landed right in the corner of the court, leaving a black mark on the gym floor. You looked around for the ball and a smile came on your face once you realized it had successfully landed.
But that smile soon faded when you saw several shocked faces staring at you through the main gym door.

"Shit.".
LOL DONT WORRY THIS CHAPTER AIN'T OVER YET, WE AREN'T EVEN AT 700 WORDS YET
"(Y/N) that was awesome!" Hinata yelled as he ran passed the boys and to the raven who was still shocked at their appearance. "I knew Daichi said you played but I never knew you were that good!" he shouted.
"I mean you went super high like WHOOSH then you did like a a WHACK and the ball went all ZOOOOM and then BOOOM!" he exclaimed as he waved his arms around.
"Her jump serve was better then mine!"
"How did she even jump so high?!"
"Isn't she that girl that came with Karasuno?"
As the teens chattered (ChAtter cHAtter CHAtteR,yOu NeVEr StoP TALkinG)
ahem...
As everyone started talking about the only girl in the room she became quite nervous, the thing she was not trying to show anyone was just showcased to most of the guys there. (Y/N) looked down and tried her best to ignore them.
'I'll just tune them all out.'
"Leave Nee-Chan alone! She already said NO!"
Right before (Y/N) could turn off her hearing aids she had heard him, she looked up from the floor and saw Hinata standing infront of her still. But this time he wasn't asking her a bunch of questions, he was confronting everyone in front of him.
"S-She's already uncomfortable, s-so you have to stop talking about her!" he shouted and surprisingly everyone around him shut up.
"Thanks Hinata, you sure are brave!" (Y/N) smiled as she put a hand on the boys shoulder.
'I wish I was in his place!'.
"N-No problems (Y-Y/N) are you okay?" he asked the girl hoping not to stutter, but as you can tell he did.
Anyways the beauty named (Y/N) just forced a smile as she nodded at him, "I'm fine, but let's just get ready for practice." she said. So Hinata just nodded as he followed the girl like a lost puppy around the gym.
