《Raised by Heroes》Chapter 16

"I think I need to leave tomorrow." I said and Chiron hummed in confusion. Percy, Annabeth and Grover left a minute ago so it was me and Chiron at the patio. "What do you mean? You can leave after the summer break-"
"I mean it. I just don't feel like I need to be here. You are a Centaur; Percy, Annabeth and Crystal are actually demigods; and Grover is a Satyr. Me? I'm just a mortal, human no less. I'm planning to tell Crystal after finding her own weapon later like I promised, she's going to be sad but I know she can make friends and stay happy here."
I said to him as he made a sad smile. "I understand, there's a bag in your closet so you can use it to bring the clothes that you wore here since can keep them. Pack them there and give the bag to me. But tell me, when will you tell Percy?" He asked and I shook my head, "I won't. You can tell him I left because my family needs me if he returns. I'll pack my clothes tonight." I said and left to find Crystal, while not hearing what Chiron had whispered.

"Thanks for coming with us Mika,"
Crystal said while she, Annabeth and I walked together. "No problem, but I'm still confused," I told her. "You got a sword from the Hephaestus cabin but returned it the week later, and you want another weapon so you asked Annabeth?" I asked since I used that sword last time. "Because it was slightly heavy for me, I was testing it at first, and I don't have the same build as you." She said and I quirked an eyebrow. "You sure about that? I'm the one suppose to say that you and Annabeth have the better build." I said and Annabeth asked why, I pointed at each of our chest areas since theirs where slightly more than mine. "Good point...that's not what I meant though..." Crystal mumbled while Annabeth just shrugged as we continued to walk.
"So that there is my cabin. Number Six." Annabeth nodded to a gray building with a carved owl over the door. Through an open doorway, I could see bookshelves, weapon displays, and one of those computerized SMART Boards they have in some classrooms. I could see someone reading a book, something about Newton's law.
"The weapons are at the other side of the cabin,"
Annabeth said and led us around the cabin to a big metal shed that looked like it was for gardening tools. Annabeth unlocked it, and the inside was lined with all sorts of weapons—from swords to spears to clubs and etc, it's like a prototype version of Gilgamesh's(3 of them) inventory, and mine but in a another level.
"Every demigod needs a weapon. But since your not a demigod, I guess it's okay if you can get one Mika, every girl needs a weapon somehow," Annabeth said to us,. "Hephaestus makes the best, but we have a good selection, too. Athena's all about strategy, so we can match the right weapon to the right person. Let's see..."

Annabeth handed Crystal a massive sword, which she let it drop and could hardly be lifted.
"No," the three of us said at once.
She then got a morning-star weapon out, we all disagreed immediately. Too War and Torture like.
Annabeth then rummaged a little farther in the shed and brought out something else.
"Isn't that a gun?" Crystal asked.
"It's a Smith & Wesson model 29." Annabeth checked it like it wasn't big deal. "Don't worry. It's modified to shoot Celestial bronze, it can only kill monsters." She said and handed it to me. "It's cool, but not my style. Clearly, Mika likes it" Crystal said while I shot a close bullseye to a target not far from my view, "I think I'll keep this one" I piped up.
"I think you can keep that, there aren't that much campers here that use guns." Annabeth said and I nodded.
Annabeth then started poking through a rack of bows when something in the corner of the shed caught my eye. Walking to it, I saw a sword in a white scabbard with a gold design on two of its ends hanging on a wall full of many other swords "How about this one?" I said, taking it and wiped it from dust with a discarded cleaning cloth from a table bellow the sword wall, It looked like it hadn't seen the light of day in centuries. Crystal took it from my hands and unsheathed the sword "A demigod, I think it was a son of Apollo once used that sword, but it was placed here a long time ago...after World War One, I think? I read it in an old journal once." Annabeth told us while Crystal looked at it from side to side.
The bronze blade gleamed like it had been polished recently. The edges looked deadly sharp. "I think it suits you," I admitted and Annabeth's nodded in agreement.
"That kind of blade is a longsword, it has a fuller cross-section. Its a quick, effective, and versatile so capable of thrusts, slices, and cuts, so it could protect you just fine with the right training."
"I think it fits me." Crystal smiled but soon scrunched and started to walk to a pile of blades. She laid her sword on a table and started to push back various swords and knives, "What did you see?" I asked her then she pulled out a gold dagger buried under the pile of bronze weapons. Walking to her I also looked at what she held, the dagger had a gray hilt with dark-purple designs etching up and down on it. I looked at the blade, which was curved slightly at the top. Annabeth also walked up to us and took it from her to examine it, and frowned.
"Sorry Crystal, but there's a crack running down the blade on both sides," Annabeth muttered, and Crystal sighed, the dagger must've looked promising to her. "Too bad," she mumbled but Annabeth continued. "Plus, this is Imperial Gold. This type of material is rare in someway, and its in good shape too. Someone must have hid it so no one could find the crack."

"I think I'll still take it," Crystal told Annabeth, who also looked at her surprised. "What's wrong? Can't it be fixed?" I asked and Annabeth sighed. "Unfortunately no, not a crack this deep. Just go put it back, I think I can find another one for you if you want," she said.
Then at that moment, the dagger slipped out of her hand and clattered onto the ground. I heard a crunch as the crack expanded more, I winced "Sorry Crystal." I murmured but when she picked it up, I froze in shock as a dim purple light seeped up in the cracks when she touched it. Annabeth then grabbed the dagger and stared at it as the light faded and the cracks were visible again. "Curiouser and Curiouser," I mumbled since it reminded me of the glow when Medea showed me her Rule Breaker and how she uses it.
The caster would first curse a small object, and that one would wizz pass me and tried to attack us. When Medea and I caught it, she hit her dagger, her noble phantasm 'Rule breaker' at the object, and the weapon glowed a purple light as it stabbed the object. When she did, the object turned back to normal. The curse that was casted was broken, hence why it's called Rule Breaker. The NP would Break any curse or enchantment that was placed on anything the dagger has stabbed on to.
"You should attack that dummy over there. With even a slight hit, the blade will shatter- well, might I guess." Annabeth ordered Crystal, pointing to a dummy.
Crystal took back the dagger from her and I watched as the dim purple light came from the blade again. She began to run and slashed the dummy's chest a couple times. The dummy fell apart as precise lines appeared in its chest, and her dagger surprisingly stayed intact. Damn.
"Can I keep this one too?" Crystal said, sounding like a child in Christmas, not Jalter lily. "Well, you do have a long-range weapon which will be difficult to hide and keep away, so I think you can keep a short-range one so you can hide it anytime." I pointed out to her and Annabeth.
"Sure, you can keep both weapons. But, if your mom is who I think she is, then long range won't really be a problem." Annabeth told her, same here Annie.

"So what did you want to talk about?" Crystal asked as we sat somewhere on the stone benches of the Amphitheater, while some campers were either playing or chatting with each other on the background.
"I'm gonna leave camp, tomorrow." I said and her eyes widened, touching her shoulder I spoke again. "I just have this feeling that my family might worry. Remember when Percy's mom, Sally, knew about Greek Mythology being real? I guess your father knew too, right?" I asked and she nodded, meaning her father might have told her a bit on what happened before we left. "Irisviel, my adoptive mother. Has this friend who was also a demigod, that's why I felt comfortable since he shows up at our home from time to time. Besides telling stories, he's the one that taught me how to fight. After that, I saw what was outside the mist. But, my family can get worried." I said, treading my words with bits of lies, there weren't any Apollo kids when I looked around, thank goodness.
"The reason they worry so much was just an accident years ago," I said and touched my bangs-which only coved one part of my left eye from time to time, removing it and it revealed a medium size scar which was close to my eye making Crystal gasp. I don't show that scar much since my hair hides it.
"I was exploring the forest for the first time and suddenly a creature attacked me, I escaped with my mother's friend who saved me that time. Gladly, I was fine. But now I'm just worried that they'll think I'm lost or something." I told her, "So I need to go home. Besides, I always have that sense of direction, maybe I'll be in a school same as you after summer." I finished and she nodded, accepting that.
"Really though, I know you have new friends here. Go with them if that matters. You have Percy and Grover here by your side too," I said.
"Did you tell Percy about this?" Crystal asked me. "If I did, what do you think will happen?" I asked her and she giggled "He'll literally stop you before you walk away and complain then say that your his friend and wants you to be the first one to greet him back." She said and I smiled, "But that's just gonna be you, okay? Promise not to tell anyone in what way possible?" I asked and she giggled again.
"I swear to the river of Styxx to not tell anyone at all means of our conversation unless you say so." Crystal said and lightning rumbled making her jolt, I laughed while she made an embarresed smile and chuckled soon after.
"How about we go to the hot springs? You're leaving tomorrow after all!" Crystal said making me grin and drag her her there excitingly.
Though what I didn't know was that Author-chan was there too.
-
"You didn't have to mention me though," Author said and slightly frowned as she looked up at me. "You said this is my narration so I could do what I want," I said and she gave me a look.
"I'm just gonna-"
"Okay! I'm sorry! Don't ruin my- What happened to my voice!" I screamed as it sounds like a boy's, I looked at my hair and it turned purple and was shorter.
"Congratulations, now you sound like a boy! You even look the part."
"You're not helping Crystal! Author! Change me back before I scream like Kanato Sakamaki who just lost teddy!"
"Stop acting like your twin! Dammit!" I yelled.
