Chapter 3
Daphne's POV
"I thought you were turned into a Laurel tree?" Mrs. Dodds asked me. She had a beautiful name but refuses to use it.
"I was. But I have been praying to my father to turn me back to normal. You see, I do not wish to live like a tree for the rest of my immortal life."
"I feel you. But, what about, you know, Apollo?"
"What about him?"
"Did he really try to rape you?" I laughed at her silly question, but she needed a serious answer.
"No. He never once tried to rape me even though his head was filled with lust back then."
"Oh, well, can I ask you one other thing before we sleep?"
"Yes."
"Well, why didn't you feel anything for him?"
"For Apollo?"
"Yes," it was actually a good question. Why didn't I feel anything for him. That question got me to thinking. A lot. I kept silent for a while since I could not find an answer to her question. "Well, we should be getting to sleep right now. Oh, and one last thing. Do you want to go to school?"
"What is School?" I asked her.
"Its a place where you learn."
"About what?"
"About everything. And School would be a good place to keep you busy if you're going to stay like this." She said before taking me by the hand and leading me to a room where the bed is made of a soft material. She lended me some of her clothes. She also tucked me in. She reminded me of my friend's mother and how my mother was never like that.
I looked at the ceiling and realized that I would be starting a new life here. She would be a different person. She would live a peacefully normal life.

Apollo's POV
"Which part of NYC do you think she is right now?" I asked Aphrodite.

"Oh, I'm sorry, do I look like a freaking map to you?" Aphrodite answered harshly.
"I sometimes wonder what I'm going to do with the two of you," Artemis only sighed.
"Actually, you look like a freaking blond bimbo right now."
"Me. A blond bimbo? Have you ever looked at the mirror recently, Horse face?"
"Yeah, I actually have," I told her sarcastically.
"You must really be liking what you're seeing in the mirror, huh?" She asked me sarcastically as well.
"What am I suppose to do to make you two stop bickering?" Artemis asked us. We completely ignored her and continued our bickering. Then I watched as Artemis let out her iPhone and started dialing. She seemed to be texting someone though. Then a thunder storm came out of nowhere.
"Oh, no," me and Aphrodite said at the same time.
"You did not just texted Dad!" Aphrodite said. Then the all the windows opened and in came in strong winds. Along with it was the strong and powerful Zeus AKA Dad.
"Hi Daddy," Artemis greeted Dad with a big hug.
"Artemis, how's my sweet baby girl?" He asked her while both me and Aphrodite stood up.
"Good."
"What's this bickering I've been told about Artemis?" Then she pointed to the two of us. My eyebrows went up while Aphrodite's eyes widened.
"First of all, can I explain myself?" I asked Dad.
"No. We are not in court my son, so you don't really have the right to talk about your side, but you do have the right to remain silent." I heard Aphrodite giggling. I turned to look at her. She looked up to my face with a playful smile.
"You must be watching a lot of Law and Order re-runs huh?" She asked me.
"You must be watching a lot of America's Next Top Idiot too huh?" And then we just kept fighting back with our insults until Dad spoke up and shut the both of us up.

"SILENCE!" He shouted and all of the glasses around Las Vegas broke. The shout was silent and only the immortals would hear it. The breaking of glasses around Sin City would remain a mystery.
"Daddy, a girl's missing right now." Artemis said to Dad.
"Who?" He asked curiously.
"Daphne."
"The nymph," Just the thought of her made me miss her more.
"Yeah, Daddy. I was just wondering if you could lend me your eagle for a little while." Artemis tried to be like a little girl again.
"You know the rules. I can't let you borrow Sonya, you persuade her too much."
"That's not true! Who told you that?" Artemis sounded hurt, like someone had just stuck a knife on her back.
"I did," Athena came in from the window. She rode in style of course. Ever since she started the idea of having flying Porsches instead of flying charriotes, she never went back to those good old times.
"Athena," Dad greeted her with a big hug as well. Artemis backed away slowly as she felt like she didn't belong.
"Hello Father. I was just on my way to meet my friend who was getting married when I noticed that my favorite siblings were here." Athena smiled at me and Aphrodite. Aphrodite rolled her eyes.
"Anyways, Dad, me. Borrow. Sonya?" Artemis asked.
"There is no way in hell that that's going to happen Artemis," Athena answered instead of Dad.
"Anyway why not?" I asked her. She was really getting into my nerves. The goody two shoes princess.
"Because she persuades Animals to do her bidding."
"Well, duh, she is the godess of the hunt and animals!" Aphrodite said.
"Aphrodite, what bad manners you have. Hold your tounge!" Athena demanded. I sighed and realized that there wasn't much help from inside this room and that I'm waisting daylight. But hey, I'm the sun god. I can make the sun go up and down as I please, but like Artemis told me, never mess with her nature.
"You know what, I'm gonna jet so I guess I'll see you guys soon."
"Alright," Artemis said. "Buh-Bye"
"See you later refrigirator," Aphrodite said.
"You said it wrong Aphrodite," Athena said to her and Aphrodite swatted her off.
"I know what I said," Aphrodite answered quickly.
"Well, see you soon my brother," Athena waved good bye while Dad only nodded.
"Bye Guys," I said before I transported back to my house in Hawaii. If I was going to search for my missing maiden, I would have to blend in. I will need a shorter hair, even though my hair grows an inch every 2 days, but, whatever. Haircut it is!
I looked at the wall in my bedroom. I saw pictures of me with my siblings, me with mom, me with Dad and me with my Uncles. Then a whole family picture of us. I looked at all the dates. Some of them said 1989, 1990, and even 1997. Oh 1997, that was a good year.
Then one picture made me want to throw up. It was a picture of me with my big sister Athena. I took the picture and threw it at the trashcan. There was no way in hell that I'm taking that memory with me. I can actually still remember it like yesterday.
We were talking about me taking a vacation with Daphne by my side and she ratted me out at Mom because I plan on taking the vacation the day my mom buys her new house at Paris. Why, I really wanted to kill her that night. I was actually forced to take a picture with her by our father Zeus who blackmailed me.
But yeah, whatever.
I packed everything that was essential: Clothes, my bows and arrows, and money. Yup, I think I have everything I need right now.
