Chapter 6
Daphne's POV
"Does Connor usually go away all the time?" I asked Alexa as we were leaving the classroom. The School day was over and all of us were going to go home now.
"No, its actually pretty weird that he's leaving just when he met you. " Alexa seemed dissapointed.
"Pretty weird? Everything about Connor is pretty weird?" Pauline interrupted.
"Alright." Alexa stopped walking and faced Pauline. "Like what?"
"Like he doesn't even want to sleep with you. We're sophomores Alexa, and unfortunately, you and Connor are the only people who haven't even done the deed yet."
"Says the girl who had a one night stand with Garry and his Irritable Bowel Syndrome," Alexa laughed. I just laughed even though I didn't understand a single word that she had said.
"Hey, Garry was cute."
"Was cute." Alexa corrected. "Hey Daphne, we're gonna catch a movie at my house, wanna tag along?"
She was actually asking if I want to join.
"I apologize, but my mother and I are going shopping."
"Why apologize? Its okay dude," Alexa said to me.
"Yeah, um, hey can we tag along too? We love shopping!" Pauline added.
"Of course, let me just ask my mother." I then wonder if Mrs. Dodds would be alright if I had my new friends to keep me company.
So we waited for Mrs. Dodds at the stairs of the school. Alexa and Pauline were still arguing about the universal secrets of the world which was given to us as an assignment.
"So what do you think Daphne?" Pauline asked me. It snapped my attention.
"About what?" I was confused. I really didn't know what they were talking about. Or, arguing about.

"Well, we were talking about the Secrets of the Universe, then it all changed to Greek Myth's. So, what I'm asking you, is if you know anything about what we're about to ask you. So, do you?" Ahh, at last. Something that I can actually relate to.
"Of course, what do you wish to know?"
"Okay, well, in the movie Clash of the Titans, Perseus was shown as the son of Zeus..."
"But, in the movie Percy Jackson and the lightning thief, Perseus was shown as the son of Poseidon. So our question is, who is really Perseus's father?" Alexa asked me. The question was really, really easy truth to be told.
"Zeus."
"See, I told you!" Alexa said to Pauline's face.
"Whatever."
Then Mrs. Dodds car stopped infront of the school. I walked down the stairs and opened the door.
"Um, would it be alright if some of my friends come with us?" I asked Mrs. Dodds.
"Sure, why not?" Mrs. Dodds answered.
"Pauline! Alexa! You can come! " I shouted to the two. As soon as they heard me, they both came running towards me.
They opened the doors of the back and sat, but not before they greeted Mrs. Dodds.
"Hey, Mrs. Dodds, thanks for letting us tag along." Alexa said.
"No problem ladies. As you can see, my daughter has terrible taste when it comes to fashion and would need all the help she can get."
I didn't understand some of the words she used, but I'm pretty sure she just insulted me.
It was a long drive to the store where we were going to buy clothes. On the way, we saw Connor talking to a blond girl who was about our age.
Pauline gasped and put a hand on Alexa's back. Alexa only starred at them. Connor didn't seem to notice that people had already caught him cheating on his girlfriend.

Apollo's POV
Artemis was such a buzzkill. She shouldn't have even visited me here. Then my phone rang. It was a text message from Aphrodite.
"Hey, I know where Daphne is. Meet me at the Hard Rock Hotel at NYC ASAP." And withing a split second, I took hold of my tiny sun again and transported at the hotel. Of course, I teleported at the bathroom for no suspicions and such.
When I walked out of the bathroom, I scanned the lobby, she wasn't there. So I went in the bar instead and found her flirting with some random guy.
Again, this girl never really understands the meaning of "Commitment".
"Hello Aphrodite." I greeted her and glared at the guy, pretty soon, he backed off.
"What do you think you're doing?"
"That's a fine way of talking to me when you're the one I should be asking that question."
"Alright, fine, you caught me again. Happy?" I shook my head. She drank her dirty martini and ordered for another. I sighed.
"Aphrodite," I said gently.
"What?" She asked me. She was a very beautiful girl, most of the gods and people thought we were going to be an item. It always came up to discussion why the most beautiful goddess and the most handsome god never hooked up. Well, the truth was, I never thought of her more than just my sister. A pretty annoying sister.
"Daphne? Where is she?" I asked her.
"Oh, yeah, I'll tell you where she is, but under one condition." Aphrodite burped and she wiped her mouth with her free hand.
"If you want me to apologize to your kid, I'm telling you, don't count on it," I was beginning to stand up from my sit when Aphrodite touched my hand.
"Wait. That wasn't the condition," she told me so I sat back down. "The condition is, you have to play it cool. Don't chase her down until she begs to be a freaking tree again. We wouldn't want that to happen, now do we?" I nodded.
"So, do we have a deal?" She offered her right hand.
"You should wash that hand first," I told her and she took my right hand by force and shook it.
"Then its settled. She's in downtown."
"And?"
"Break a leg." It wasn't the answer that I was looking for, but good enough. I can find Daphne if she's in downtown, or maybe not. Downtown was big and I need someone who was good in directions to help me.
