We begin by a wethered old timer that describes the world that stands and some of what used to stand. He tells also of a man, one of his closest friends who left during a time of struggle, off into the wastes in an effort to end the suffering. This land has only one currency, water. The controlling authority over the water is Oasis, and they are as corrupt as can be. In a war against Oasis led by the man, named Griff, was going well until suddenly Griff dissapeared and the war was lost. This story is one of struggle and hardship, one where a legend was made out of a man reborn from suffering, come along for a ride through the eyes of a tired old man who has seen to much sorrow, and knows too much pain.
