••••••••••••••>
Percy's slumped figure straightened at the sound of his name. His sunken eyes filled with confusion as they trailed to the blond archer who shrunk back slightly at his cold gaze. Percy bit his lip and glanced away his expression skeptical. He didn't know the man, so why did the man know him?
Steve was wearing an identical look of confusion as he turned to Clint, though his eyes kept flickering back Percy with sympathy. Unfortunately, the boy turned away from him, his jawline set. He didn't need sympathy from Steve, he didn't know why Steve was even here. With so much confusion in the air it was hard to think straight, let alone realize the situation. By now the red haired assassin had slid off the counter her face betraying no emotion, but still she raised an eyebrow at Clint and Steve's sudden knowledge of the boy Tony had brought in. Clint had confided to Natasha about Percy, though he doubted she remembered.
Tony still had a look of disbelief on his face. "Let me get this straight...You," he pointed at Steve and Clint in turn. "know him?" He gestured with his sunglasses at the boy and child, who shrunk back into the shadows.
"Eh-," Clint looked slightly sheepish as he answered. "I ran into this kid on a mission once. Long time back, but he was only five." Clint glanced at the boy who regarded him with blank eyes. "I doubt you remember me?"
The boy remained silent, which Clint learned to expect.
Steve stared straight at Clint as he spoke, the Apple still clenched in his fist. "I brought him to the station after the accident this morning." He nodded toward the boy who was still standing passive. Clint stared back.

"Wait...Why was he at the station?"
Tony took this as an opening. "His mother died in the fire this morning. His mother, my sister." He put emphasis on the word 'sister', though it wasn't needed. This information was enough to shock them all.
"You have a sister?" Steve glanced around and thankfully noticed that he wasn't the only one with lack of information. Thor had a look of disbelief on his face as well as everyone else situated in the room. Tony hadn't told anyone he had a sister, why?
"Yep, apparently my dear old dad didn't find it fit to have a daughter. So he sent her away." His fist seemed to clench for a moment. "And when I was finally told? It was because she died."
He grimaced his features fighting anger, but it was quite a surprise that he remained calm. If Thor had been in his place the room would have already been destroyed...Again.
Clint turned to the boy sadly. He could remember the boys mom, she seemed like a wonderful woman. Clint felt a pulse of protectiveness for Percy, no wonder he looked so depressed and different.
But suddenly, as Clint looked closer, he noticed something else. Something deeper, like a shard of glass in the boys heart. Because he realized that Percy was hurt more than he let on. Just the sunken look in his face; his eyes so full of pain and worry, held in with only the frailest shards.. Clint could imagine a sarcastic smile in the place of his frown; A sparkle in his broken eyes.
But it wasn't there.
His whole demeanor was sagging, like years of pain. It wasn't just the death of his mother. It was something more. Like he'd been through war and his battle scars hadn't faded. (Lol the media) And Clint didn't know why.

But before he could speak, Tony decided to start up again. Perfect entrance as always.
"Do you know what they also didn't tell me? My sister had two kids; That I had a nephew and niece somewhere in the world. They never thought that I might want to meet them." He slammed his fist into the counter top, the plastic sunglasses cracking in his grip. He glared at the broken pieces before placing his head in his hands.
And that's when Steve decided to add some input.
"Um...Stark, That's not your sisters kid." He gestured to the bundle in Percy's arms, Toby raised his head slightly at this. "She's your nephew's."
