《The Nerd who cried Bad Boy》twenty three

The silence was deafening. Everyone had went silent after the person was poured with rotten eggs, glitter and green paint.
Aaliyah laughed a wheezy laugh causing me to smile. She crouched down and held her stomach, pointing at Bree.
Everyone laughed staring at Bree's face, it was not even visible since it was covered in the gooey substance. Bree was still shocked, processing what had just happened. She looked down at her outfit and back at everyone laughing. She wiped her closed eyes and her before angrily throwing it aside.
"Who did this?" she shouted and stomped her foot in anger. Everyone was still laughing. Someone threw a toffee apple at Bree's head,"Eat your fricking toffee onions!" the person shouted.
Bree rubbed her head and was on the verge of crying. Girl needs to calm down, this was just a prank. "Who fucking did this?" she screamed once again, staring at the crowd.
Aaliyah smirked and passed me the coke and a strip of mentos. Everyone laughed at Bree, recording the scene and/or taking pictures. A boy and a girl walked over towards Bree holding the huge bowl of punch and tilted the bowl over her head, pouring the punch with salt and vinegar on Bree.
"Woo, that felt good!" the boy exclaimed and the crowd cheered. He turned to Bree and whispered,"And that's for playing with my fucking heart."
Everyone started laughing and calling Bree names. She was speechless, scared and motionless. She stood by the door, damp by the egg, paint, glitter and salt and vinegar punch. Veronica appeared by the front door and stared at Bree in shock.
Bree started crying and she turned to Veronica,"Please help me. I was pranked--"
Veronica chuckled and moved away from Bree and walked past her. Veronica stood beside me and smirked at Bree,"You deserve this, Bree. You fucking jerk."
Bree gasped and tears, or what looked like tears streamed down her cheeks. "Veronica? Why are you doing this?" she stammered.
"Don't act so innocent now? You treated all these people like garbage and you expect them to worship you? None of them are your friends, no one likes you, you slut."
"I thought you were my friend, Veronica," she whispered. I could barely hear her.
Veronica scoffed,"I'm not your friend, if anything I'm your fucking enemy," she smirked and took out her phone.
"Say cheese, bitch," Veronica took a picture of Bree.
Bree's face turned from sad to upset in a second. After finally at staring at everyone laughing at her, her eyes landed on me and she gasped.
"You," she growled.
I quirked my eyebrow at her,"Hey." I winked at her.
"Alyssa, why are you doing this?" she asked, slightly angry.
"Are you kidding me right now, Bree? After all the things you've done to me all these years, you're really asking me that question? I got bullied online because of you, I got bruises at school because of you and everyone hated me even more because of you. You deserve this, Bree. You treat everyone like bull, hurt people's feelings and expect to get all the glory. Well, welcome to the real world, Bree. And in reality, we won't take your bull anymore," I said and pointed the coke bottle at Bree.
Aaliyah gave me two mentos sweets and I looked at Bree.
Veronica smirked,"Happy Birthday." she said. I let go of the mentos sweets and they fell in the coke bottle. The coke immediately foamed and it shot out, hitting Bree. She scremed and covered herself with her arms. Someone grabbed the bottle out of my hands and walked closer to Bree, pouring the coke on her.

It was her birthday?
Last time I checked that she was 17 years old.
Oh no, I ruined her eighteenth birthday.
"Please, stop!" Bree cried, on her knees. She looked at me, her make-up was smudged, her outfit was damp and sticky and so was her hair. I sneered at her as I remembered the days I used to be beat up and I would beg for everyone to stop but she would just look at me.
Eighteenth birthday my ass, Bree deserved this.
But why was there a part of that wanted to stop all this?
"I'm sorry," Bree cried, her eyes red and her body trembling. She looked at me and whispered,"I'm sorry." I said nothing and just stared at her as people started throwing the snacks she had brought. Popcorn, chips, sweets which I thought was a waste.
"Remember Leftover Wednesday?" I quirked my eyebrow at her.
"Alyssa," Aaliyah said beside me and I looked at her. She looked worried and concerned.
"What's wrong?" I asked her.
"I think she learnt her lesson," Aaliyah said. I stared at Aaliyah for a few seconds before shaking my head.
"Are you kidding? Bree never learns!" I shouted over the cheering crowd. "And, I have more thing to do to her before I leave her alone."
"What?"
"We'll leave her in the middle of the forest," I said with a slight grin.
"What? Alyssa, don't you think you are taking this a little too far?" Aaliyah asked then glanced at Bree then at me.
"I don't care, she must know how it feels to be attacked by everyone. Everyone is agreeing with me, Aaliyah. Look at this, everyone hated her but was too afraid to say anything. By doing this, I'm doing everyone a favour and no one is going to stop me," I said sternly and turned to the crowd,"Everyone listen up, we're going to the Lockwood forest. Carry Bree with."
Three boys walked up to Bree and picked her up. She screamed and kicked her legs but was no match for the guys' strength.
Someone jerked my hand and I looked down. I saw Alyson with a worried face,"Alyssa."
"Why aren't you filming this, Alyson?" I asked her.
"Alyssa, please stop this," she begged. "You're hurting her--"
"Alyson, she's hurt me for years. This is nothing compared to what she's done to me," I let go of her hand.
Alyson stared at me and shook her head,"What's wrong with you?" she asked as a tear slipped down her cheek.
"Alyson--" I called but she rushed upstairs and disappeared. I was about to follow her but I stopped and turned around and headed towards the door. The boys that were carrying Bree followed me, along with ten other people including Aaliyah.
"I'm sorry!" Bree screamed. I rolled my eyes and walked to the door but I bumped into someone. Or somehow I bumped into two people. I looked up and my breath hitched.
Sam and Kendall.
Suddenly everyone was quiet. There was no more cheering, it was just silence. "Where are you going, Alyssa?" Sam and Kendall asked me simultaneously. The door closed and Marcus appeared behind Sam and Kendall.
His jaw clenched as he looked at Bree then me. The look in his eyes scared me, making me feel numb. No one dared to say anything.
"Mind telling me what's happening?" Marcus asked, staring straight at me. I opened my mouth to reply and but words struggled to escape my mouth.

Marcus chuckled,"Are you responsible for this, Alyssa?"
I sighed and nodded,"Yeah, I am responsible. What you going to do about it?"
Marcus smiled and chuckled, it wasn't a happy one obviously, this one was scary and dark. "Nothing," he replied and turned to the guys holding Bree.
The guys dropped her and Marcus held out his hand to Bree. Bree gave him a small smile and held his hand. Marcus helped her up and looked at Sam,"Bring her a towel please."
Sam nodded and went upstairs. "Thank you," Bree whispered to Marcus and he nodded. I felt my blood boil and I clenched my jaw.
"What are you doing, Marcus? Why are you helping her?" I asked. Marcus ignored me and Sam brought Marcus the towel. Marcus wiped the rotten mixture off of Bree's face. Marcus stared at her while he wiped her face and Bree stared back, blushing.
I marched over them and grabbed the towel out of Marcus' hand. "Marcus, why are you helping her?"
"Alyssa, why would you do this?" Marcus said standing up, hovering me.
"Because someone needs to get revenge from all the things she has done," I replied crossing my arms over my chest. "But that doesn't explain why you are helping her?"
"You guys are hurting her, emotionally and physically," Marcus said.
"She did the same to me before and you weren't there to help me!" I shouted, feeling the tears well up in my eyes.
His eyes darkened,"Alyssa, remember I didn't have to stand up for you and protect you from all those assholes. I didn't know you at all but I helped you and stood up for you. I could've watch them beat you up senseless but I didn't."
I clenched my fists and my jaw as I stared at Marcus.
"Imagine how Bree feels now? Everyone is against her," Marcus said.
"Everyone was against me, Marcus," I said through clenched teeth.
Marcus rolled his eyes,"No one is now, Alyssa. Everyone is with you, everyone's your friend, everyone likes you, what more do you want?"
"Why are you on her side?" I suddenly hollered.
Marcus seemed taken back,"Alyssa I'm not picking sides, I'm just saying what you are doing is wrong--"
"You know what? You don't have to explain yourself. I knew you still had feelings for Bree," I blurted.
"Is it a problem if I still have feelings for Bree?" Marcus asked, raising his eyebrow. "Are you going to do something about it?"
Whatever air I had in my lungs was gone. I stared at Marcus with wide eyes,"You- you like Bree?"
Marcus smirked,"What, you wanted me to like you?"
I blinked and I felt tears fall down my cheeks. Marcus' smug look quickly turned into a concerned one. His hand gently touched my cheek and he wiped the tear away. I opened my mouth and whispered,"Leave me alone."
Marcus' eyes widened and he opened his mouth to say something but I turned around and pushed through the crowd.
"Alyssa," he called out to me and I felt someone grip my wrist. I turned around and saw Marcus.
"Marcus, let go of me."
I didn't want to do this again.
"Alyssa, you promised," he whispered.
"I didn't promise anything. You know, for being so kind and sweet to me, I thought that you would be on my side. Instead, you take Bree's side, my enemy and one of the reasons I got brutally bullied by everyone. I really don't want anything to do with you right now," I said and walked through the crowd and walked upstairs, finding Alyson. I walked in the first room I saw slightly ajar and saw Alyson sitting on the bed, staring out the window.
"Alyson, go to the car," I said and Alyson stood up and walked past me. I sighed and followed her. Alyson and I walked downstairs. Everyone was staring at us. Aaliyah, Sam and Kendall and Marcus.
Aaliyah saw me and gave me a small smile, nodding. She left the house, going to her car to wait for me. I held Alyson's hand but she jerked her hand away and glared at me. She walked faster and out the house, completely ignoring Marcus calling her name. Marcus sighed and looked at me. I avoided eye contact and tried to walk through the crowd.
As I passed Marcus, I gave him the scariest glare I could give him and it worked. Marcus almost looked hurt but he didn't say anything. He slowly turned his head away. gave Sam and Kendall the same look and they watched me walk away.
When I passed Bree, she smirked at me and winked. I gritted my teeth and raised my hand and smacked her cheek. Everyone gasped and I smirked back,"How do you like that bitch?"
Bree groaned and stared at me in shock. She was about to charge at me but Marcus held her wrists and Bree paused. "Just fucking go, Alyssa," Marcus said sternly, not looking at me.
"I was already going," I spat and left the house. Tears fell down my cheeks as I walked to the car. I started jogging to the car and got in. Alyson was in the backseat, sleeping while Aaliyah was watching videos.
She looked at me and I closed the car door. "Are you o--" she was about to ask but I cut her off.
"Please don't ask me anything," I pleaded, on the verge of crying.
Aaliyah nodded and started the car. I took my phone from Alyson's hand and unlocked it. I started receiving lots information that I was mentioned on stories in Instagram. I sighed and tapped on one of them.
A picture of me and Marcus glaring at eachother appeared with the text:
Another one was a video of me walking away from Marcus and out the door:
I saw similar stories and sighed. I went to Marcus' account. 400K followers, 54 following. I tapped on one of his recents and saw a picture of him standing between Sam and Kendall. Sam and Kendall were standing further back than Marcus, their hands in their pockets. Marcus had a small smile on his face and wasn't looking at the camera, he was turning away, holding out his hand as if he wanted the picture not to be taken. It was cute. And something was peeking out his shirt. It was on his neck and it was a hickey since Marcus didn't have a birthmark or tattoo on his neck.
One of the comments under his post said:
Marcus hadn't reply and I bit my bottom lip.
