Marcus and I helped carry the plates filled with chocolate cookies and Oreo cookies. The Oreos were Marcus' and no one else's. Not even me.
Well... not yet.
The cake was not allowed to eat yet. I don't know why but Xavier didn't want anyone to touch the cake. Chase and Cameron wanted to eat it but Xavier threatened them with a gun and told them that he was going to shoot their throat if they touched his cake.
Touch the dude's cake and you'll get your throat shot, I thought. I snickered at the thought and placed the plates on the coffee table. "Here I present you... Xavier's delicious cookies and Marcus' Oreo cookies that we all shouldn't touch," I said and forced a smile. "Or he'll send us to hell..."
Marcus smiled and nodded.
"With him," Ian completed the sentence and Marcus frowned while Chase and Erik laughed.
"Ooh." Aaliyah took a cookie and Xavier watched as she ate it. She shut her eyes and nodded,"This cookie..." she opened her eyes. "Is amazing."
Xavier grinned and nodded,"Thank you, m'lady," he said in a British accent that made Aaliyah chuckle.
Erik looked at Xavier with a dangerous glare.
Xavier furrowed his eyebrows. "What? You want a cookie?"
"Who wants to watch a movie?" I asked and the boys agreed.
"Okay... what movie?" I asked. Multiple answers were said.
"Fifty Shades of Gr..." Chase trailed off when his voice was louder than the others. "Barney. Fifty Shades of Barney," Chase nodded and slumped down his seat.
"Bro, Barney was already traumatising. We don't need to hear that," Cameron said.
"I don't know... maybe we should give it a chance," Erik said.
"It's not a real movie," Marcus interrupted. "And I don't think it will ever be."
"Geez, what time is it?" Erik asked.
"Time to get a watch," Chase mumbled and Aaliyah laughed. Erik pinched Chase thigh and Chase squealed, receiving looks.
"It's past midnight. Crap, I need to go to bed," I said and yawned.
"Oh come on, it's early," Cameron whined.
"Dude, I'm still going to school," I stated. "And Marcus, you still have to go to practice." I said to Marcus.
"Shit, I forgot," Marcus cursed. "Coach won't let me play if I don't attend school... practice to be specific."
"Okay... goodnight," Ian said.
"Wait," I said. "Aaliyah and I will sleep in my parent's bedroom."
"Aww. I wanted to sleep with Aaliyah," Erik whined.
"No. She's mine," I stated and Aaliyah shrugged.
"And I wanted to sleep with you," Marcus said and my cheeks heated although Marcus and I had shared a bed before.
"No. She's mine," Aaliyah stated and I shrugged, mimicking Aaliyah's actions before.
Marcus and Erik groaned.
"Ha! Rejected!" Chase and Cameron laughed.
"Whatever." I rolled my eyes but I smiled. "In the living room, is Chase and Xavier."
"With Xavier?" Chase exclaimed in disgust.
"Shut up," Xavier said and Chase narrowed his eyes at him.
"We're not sleeping here," Sam said and I nodded.
"Marcus can sleep in my bedroom then. Cameron in my sister's bedroom. Ian and Erik in the guest bedroom," I said. They nodded.
"Goodnight," everyone said and Marcus and I left with a separate plate with cookies. We ascended the stairs and I heard Erik say,"I can already hear them fucking already."

Marcus chuckled. I entered my parent's bedroom with Marcus and he shut the door. I sat on the bed, crossing my legs as I ate the cookies. I rolled my eyes back as I moaned, "These cookies are so good," I mumbled.
Marcus sat on the floor, his back leaning against the bed. I stared at him while he ate his Oreos. He was oddly silent, as if he was thinking. I laid back as I stared at the ceiling, my head was to Marcus and I ran my fingers through his hair.
"Baby cheeks?" he whispered and I hummed in response.
"Would you ever..." he paused and shook his head. "It's-- nevermind."
I furrowed my eyebrows,"Would I ever what?" I asked, wanting him to continue.
He signed,"It's not important."
Okay now I was really intrigued. "No, Marcus. Tell me," I said as I rolled over to lay on my stomach. My hands slowly trailed down from his hair to his chest. I crossed my arms around his neck.
"Would you ever love me?" Marcus asked.
My heart pounded harder,"Why... why do you ask that?" I asked, getting nervous.
"Well... look at me. Girls only like me because of my looks. I went to jail a few times. I dealt with drugs. Injured some people and slept around. Sometimes I don't think I'll ever find love... everyone thinks I'm dangerous and won't even want to be near me. I am dangerous but... I wish it wasn't like this. I wish I lived a normal life. With my mother... father," he said.
"Marcus, even if you were the weirdest person ever, someone out there would love you. Love isn't based on looks. It's what you feel. And stop complaining about people not loving you... these guys downstairs love you, your mother and cousin loves you. Everyone who knows you well loves you because they know how caring, supportive and loving you are," I stated. "All the people who hate you can suck my toes," I said and Marcus chuckled.
I smiled happily because I successfully made Marcus laugh.
"What made me you think that?" I asked Marcus. Marcus took a picture frame from the nightstand and looked at it.
"I just thought about it," Marcus replied with a shrug. The picture was of me when I was seven and my father. I was sitting on his shoulder while I held his hands scared I might fall. I had my tongue out and my eyes were shut while my father looked like he was laughing.
Marcus smiled at the picture.
"He's almost never around," I commented in a soft voice. "And I miss him. That was the time he visited us for a few weeks before going back to work. I thought my dad was going to come back in a week weeks ago but I was wrong," I said sadly and sighed, staring at the picture in Marcus' hands. "I really looked weird then."
"No, you looked beautiful," Marcus said then looked at me. "And you still do look beautiful."
I smiled,"Why thank you." I put my hand on my chest. "You are not too bad looking yourself, young man," I said in a British accent.
Marcus threw his head back to the bed and let out a sigh,"Whoa, I'm so tired. I want to go to sleep," Marcus said as he stood up and jumped on the bed, immediately caging me in his arms.

"Easy, Aaliyah is sleeping here," I said though not stopping him from leaving soft kisses on my neck.
"I don't know what I have to do about that," he murmured. I could slightly smell Oreos from his breath.
"You smell like Oreos," I said as I pushed him away.
Marcus frowned,"Is there something wrong?"
"No, no. Why?" I asked.
"You just pushed me away," he replied.
I sighed, smiling. "Marcus, I'm tired. When I wake up, you can get all the kisses you want in the world."
"I want one kiss from you. Only one before I go to bed," he promised.
"Your own bed," I stated.
Marcus sighed,"Whatever yeah."
I grinned and wrapped my arms around his neck as I pulled him close for a kiss. Our lips met and even though this was like our millionth kiss, I felt something deep about this one.
I was sharing a kiss with the man I love.
Marcus held my waist gently and wrapped his arms around my waist. Pulling away for a quick breath, I stared into his eyes that said a lot of things.
Love. Was what I saw in them.
And with all my heart, I had wished that he loved me too. His actions somehow said that he did... but I didn't know if he felt it. He intertwined our hands and kissed me again.
Simple kiss yet it had meant a lot.
Suddenly I heard laughter downstairs, I furrowed my eyebrows somehow wanting to laugh too. The laughter became louder because I could hear a certain someone laughing louder than the others. I smiled against Marcus' lips as he tried to kiss me. I laughed and Marcus gave up and chuckled, his head on the crook of my neck.
"I'm sorry." I chuckled and kissed his cheek.
"It's okay, goodnight," Marcus said and got up from the bed.
"G'night!" I got under covers and sat upright. Marcus smiled and as he was about to walk out the room, I called him back.
"Yes?" Marcus said. "You want me to read you a bedtime story?"
"Actually... yeah," I replied. I wanted to cuddle with him but since he came up with idea about telling me a bedtime story, we could do both. I tapped next to me and the bed and Marcus grinned, closing the door behind me. He sat next to me and got in the covers as well.
"You seem happy," I chuckled.
"Of course." Marcus smiled wider and I laid my head on his chest and three my leg over him. I could feel his heart pounding loudly against my ear. Smiling, I traced to abs over his tee that outlined it. "You have nice abs," I said.
"You have a nice ass," he said and gripped it.
I gasped and hit Marcus' chest, "Don't do that," I said, smiling.
"And they're mine," Marcus murmured and I chuckled. "You're mine," he said and then looked at me.
I held his hand. "Fine with me," I said and my head laid back to his chest.
"Now tell me a story," I said and wrapped my arms around his waist. He sighed and thought for a moment.
"I literally can not think of a story, I'm not creative," Marcus said and I groaned.
"Just come up with anything," I said. "I won't judge."
"Okay. Don't break up with me," Marcus joked.
"I won't promise anything," I said and Marcus chuckled.
"Fine... um... there was a girl as beautiful as you who met a man as handsome as me. They fell in love with eachother and happily got married," Marcus said and I looked up at him. He grinned sheepishly and ran his fingers through my hair.
"That was the best story ever," I said sarcastically and I shut my eyes.
"Okay, okay. There was a boy named Dan. He had an amazing life. A beautiful mother, a loving father and supportive girlfriend. Dan had struggled with a specific subject though his father wasn't there to help him because he was in the hospital. His mother was always at work and his girlfriend was at cheerleading practice or handing out with her friends. Dan, at times, felt lonely and he wished that his family was around.
One he went to the library after school and met a beautiful girl who seemed to be in a rush. He had seen her from time to time but didn't seem intrigued but there was something about her that he couldn't pick up.
Later that day, he thought about her and even had a sleepless night because of him thinking of her. The next day, Dan met her again and asked for her name. Elle. Was her name. Dan was clearly interested in her but she seemed distant. She also noticed that Dan was interested in her but she knew that Dan had a girlfriend who was her best friend.
Elle stayed away from Dan but Dan would leave her. After finally agreeing to go out with him, they went on a couple of date and Elle had grown feelings on Dan. Though she had a secret that only Dan's father and girlfriend knew. Dan was the happiest person ever and felt as if his life was back to amazing... until
Elle started getting sick. She had fallen for Dan and he was there by her side when she had needed him. Dan finally broke up with his girlfriend. His ex then explained that he should ask his father about Elle.
He was confused at first but then he did ask his father. His father said that Elle was going to die in less than 24 hours. And his father explained that that was the reason that he wasn't always home, he was trying to save Elle. Dan was heartbroken, he quickly went to the hospital and saw Elle in a bad condition.
She kept apologising as Dan was angry and sad at the same time. She told him that he loved him enormously. Dan was crying though he told her that he loved her too. They share a kiss. While Dan was asleep right beside Elle, Elle had used her last breath to say that she loves Dan.
The End," Marcus said.
"That was so depressing," I said lazily, half-asleep.
"It's the only thing I could come up with," he said. The door was opened and came Chase and Erik clapping.
"That was beautiful," Chase said as he wiped an imaginary tear.
"Get out." Marcus sighed and they left without saying a word and shut the door behind them.
I shut my eyes after looking at the smile on Marcus' face. I yawned, "G'Night... again." I said with a smile.

Essentia Animus
Second Book of the Soul - Celesi Veil Trilogy When the living essence of three girls are put at risk, giving room for a second essence within themselves, even their hyper developed fantasy world might not be enough to contain their new found ambitions. Another story of another world, these three girls must adapt to their new essence, all while each is left to question if they are truly still even alive. While this story is a sequel of the previous story in the trillogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, taking place in a distant corner of a Celese returning readers will be otherwise incapable of recognizing. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for the previous book, in case that matters to anyone. This story takes place over two centuries after the events of Vitae Memorandum, when Celese had developed into an advanced world, improved to a point that it is much like modern-day Earth while still using the gift instead of technology. The Aethyx languages are still present in this book, and even English still exists in the world after the events of the previous book, but are much less of a focus after the same closing events of the previous book. What is instead important is how the ending events of the previous book had resulted in the start of the Instrumentation Era, and exactly how the gift translates in a modern-day sense. While this book is still effectively a fantasy world of its own kind of magic, it isn’t the classical medieval scene that would be typical for such a story. The laws of science still do not exist in Celese, but that didn’t stop it from developing into something that looks similar enough. Earth itself still remains present on the other side of the veil, and its previous exposure continues to shape and advance Celese into the world it has become. This story contains scenes exibiting mania and similar dark themes, as it goes to great length to explore concepts of life and death. While the degree of such themes should not be considered to be as serious compared to matters such as actual horror, the psychological depth is still siginifcant enough to be potentially concerning for people sensitive to matters of this nature, such as any individuals with concerns questioning matters of suicide, mental harm, or a variety of emotional injuries. While none of these subjects actually occur in the story, readers who are currently troubled by such matters may find themselves considering old wounds if they are especially capable of empathy while reading, which could lead to furthered emotional or mental stress. Readers with a high capacity for empathy may find themselves troubled by concerns regarding any potential lack of mental/emotional control as well as considerations regarding the meaning of death. Readers who appreciate subtle dark themes in a story may instead find this to be an interesting twist of the same idea.
