"Are you all done?" I asked, referring to the boys dressing into the unicorn onesies we picked out for them.
"Yes," they all replied simultaneously and I grinned.
"Well then come on out!" I said with the widest grin on my face. Aaliyah squealed as she held my hand tighter, excited to see the boys in unicorn onesies.
The curtains slid open and out came the boys wearing unicorn onesies. I clasped my hands together as I stared them, trying not to laugh. Aaliyah's body was shaking slightly in laughter as she hid behind me.
They all glared at me expect Marcus. He looked at himself and then the gang. Chase laughed at everyone,"You all look ridiculous!"
They just stared at Chase, probably thinking he looked ridiculous.
"I don't know about you guys but..." Cameron dusted off imaginary dust on his shoulders,"I look cute."
Ian narrowed his eyes at Cameron while Sam and Kendall were looking at eachother.
Aaliyah and I chose pink and blue onesies for them. I had a blue unicorn onesie, and so did Ian, Xavier, Sam and Kendall.
Aaliyah had pink and so did Marcus, Chase, Cameron and Erik. I stared at Marcus, pushing out my bottom lip. I walked up to him and cupped his cheeks,"You look so adorable!" I squealed as I pulled the hood on.
Marcus' lips slowly curved into a smile and I pecked his lips. "Hot guys wearing unicorn onesies," Aaliyah said and nodded at her own words. "Jesus, I'm ready to go to heaven now."
I chuckled.
"I'm taking this off." Xavier walked in the dressing room and slid the curtains. The boys agreed and walked in the other dressing rooms.
"Do you have Erik's number?" Aaliyah whispered.
I smiled. "I'm sorry. I don't but I'll ask him."
"But when you ask... just say you want it. Not me," Aaliyah said and I smiled while I walked to the first dressing room. "Give me your onesies," I said loudly for all the boys to hear. My arm reached in to take the onesie. Cameron gave me the onesie and I walked to the other dressing rooms, taking the onesies. Chase had given me his boxers and I screamed, throwing it back to him. He laughed. Aaliyah and I left to purchase the onesies.
We waited outside for them and they walked in a group. "Great, now let's get food." Cameron clapped his hands.
"And the arcade," Chase added. "Oh, what's arcade in Spanish again, Marcus?" he asked and Marcus narrowed his eyes at Chase.
Marcus murmured something else in Spanish and Erik looked at him in amusement, as if he understood. Erik said something in Spanish to Marcus and Marcus rolled his eyes, smiling. Chase narrowed his eyes at them.
"We'll only do that when everyone dresses in these..." I said and lift up the bag in the air slightly.
They stared at me in shock, this time, including Marcus. "What?"
"Look, I'm not wearing that Alyssa. I already baked for you yesterday," Xavier whispered slightly.

"And we're simply not wearing a onesie at all," Sam and Kendall stated and quirked their eyebrow simultaneously.
"Marcus, you can shoot us if you want. I'd rather die than walk around looking like a fucking unicorn," Erik said.
"Trust me, I'd shoot myself," Marcus said and I frowned at him.
I slowly nodded,"Fine..." I ran my fingers through my hair. "I might die tomorrow and God knows by what. I might get shot..." I looked at them sadly.
"Okay, I think this girl likes being targeted by James because she's using it against us to get us to do everything she wants," Xavier stated.
"Trust me, I wish I wasn't in this situation. But I think it brought us together. Marcus wouldn't have introduced me to you guys if I wasn't in trouble. And I love you guys, I want to have fun with my besties," I said with a smile on my face.
"Wait... what do you mean you're in trouble," Aaliyah asked in confusion.
"She's being targeted by dangerous man who has killed before and has a strong gang with him..." Sam said and Aaliyah's mouth dropped open.
"And all she can think about is dressing us into unicorn onesies," Kendall finished.
Cameron chuckled.
"What? Am I supposed to stay in room?" I said and dramatically folded my arms over my chest.
"Yes," Ian answered blankly.
"But why would I do that when I have Marcus and seven other guys to protect me... that is... if you guys are here to protect me," I said.
"We came here for food." Cameron smiled. "And to protect you."
"Wait... I'm confused. Are you guys her bodyguards?" Aaliyah asked the boys.
"Well kind of," Chase replied. "We're a gang."
"A gang with... guns?" Aaliyah asked.
They lifted their shirts up slightly to show their guns and Aaliyah's eyes widened. A guy who was walking past saw that too and Ian looked at him and placed his finger on his lip and shaking his head gesturing to the guy that he never saw this. The guy rushed and he looked like he was going to talk to the security guard since he was heading at that direction.
"Shit," Ian cursed. He turned to the guys,"Everyone take a onesie from Alyssa and spread out."
I grinned.
"Why?" The boys asked.
"That asshole saw us with guns and is about to tell the security guard," Ian said. "We need to change and give guns to Alyssa."
"Why change?" Xavier asked.
"We look like we came here to take over the mall," Cameron replied.
"Quick!"
I gave them each a onesie and they put their guns in the shopping bag. They separated expect Sam and Kendall. Marcus left without putting his gun in and I glared at him.
"They realised that they could've told you that they have a gun instead of showing you," I mumbled to Aaliyah.
I saw the security guard look at Marcus walking. "Shit," I cursed and gave Aaliyah the bag with guns.

"Make sure you bump into no one," I said and she nodded. "Go wait for us by where they are setting up for Wesley's concert," I ordered and Aaliyah walked away from me.
I glanced at the security guard walking with the guy who saw the boys with guns. They were close to him and I quickly rushed to Marcus and as the security guard was about to speak to Marcus. I kissed Marcus. At the corner of my eye, the security guard paused after he saw me kiss Marcus. I smiled but then he continued walking towards us.
Marcus was confused at first but then wrapped his arms around me. I pulled away,"Marcus, give me your gu--"
"Afternoon Sawyer... and Miss," the security guard said and stared at the both of us holding hands.
Marcus clenched his jaw when he realised that the security guard was about to ask him about the gun. We nodded at him.
"Is there something wrong?" I asked nervously as my hand tightened in Marcus'. Marcus looked calm though if the security guard saw he had a gun... he'd get in trouble. In bigger trouble because the everyone knew how dangerous he was.
Everyone knew Marcus Sawyer.
"Yes actually," the security guard answered. "This man says that he saw you and several other guys with guns."
My nails dug in Marcus' hand as Marcus shifted his gaze from the security guard to the man standing beside him. He stared at the man through hooded eyes, clenching his jaw. Marcus was warning him and I saw the man shudder from the look.
Marcus looked back at the security guard,"Is that so?"
He nodded.
"Does it look like I'm with other guys?" Marcus said calmly.
"You wer--" the man was about to say but Marcus looked at him again making him shut up.
"So why are you here?" I asked the security guard.
"I need to search if Sawyer has a gun," he answered and I looked at Marcus.
"He doesn't. We both just came back from school," I said.
"Ma'am, for the everyone's safety here... I need to search Sawyer if he has a gun or not," he said and I saw him hold his nightstick.
"Can I search for you?" I said, smiling cheekily. "I really want to be the only one who touches my boyfriend's body."
Marcus smiled and looked down.
The security guard narrowed his eyes at me but smiled,"I'm sorry ma'am but I--"
"But what?" I asked.
"Alyssa, it's fine," Marcus said and looked at me. He didn't care about being in big trouble. But I did.
"No it isn't, Marcus." I met eyes with him. He might go to jail and I didn't want that.
He stared at me for a moment before sighing,"What then?"
I noticed the men in front of stare at us suspiciously. I looked over the security guard's shoulder and saw Aaliyah standing there, staring at us. She shrugged at us.
"Ma'am, please step away from him so I can search him before I call for backup," he said.
"Backup?" I repeated and my heart pounded faster.
"It's okay," Marcus assured. "Let them."
I stared at Marcus, and not wanting the security guard to get even more suspicious, I backed away and stood behind Marcus. It would've been easier if his gun was behind him but it wasn't. If I took it, the securityguard would see.
I quickly took out my phone and texted Aaliyah who was standing far away from me.
[
I saw Aaliyah read the text.
"Spread out your arms," he commanded and Marcus held his folded onesie in one hand. "What is that? A blanket?" he asked Marcus.
"A unicorn... onesie," Marcus replied and the security guard furrowed his eyebrows before he bent down and slightly tapped Marcus legs... reaching his waist where the gun was.
I bit my lip and looked at Aaliyah who nodded at me. Marcus looked at me and smiled.
Aaliyah screamed.
An ear-piercing scream.
The security guard paused and everyone in sight got a fight, turning to Aaliyah's direction. While everyone looked at Aaliyah including the man and the security guard, I wrapped my arms around Marcus' waist and swiftly pulled the gun out of his jean.
I put it in the pocket of my hoodie. Marcus smiled and nodded at me. I nodded at Aaliyah and she grinned, "Sorry! False alarm!" she waved off everyone and everyone still stared at her while they walked away.
The security guard rolled his eyes and went back to Marcus, he felt his waist and torso then nodded and backed away. "Looks like you're in the clear..." he said and Marcus grinned.
I stood beside Marcus and placed my elbow on his shoulder as I smiled too. "But I got my eye on you, Sawyer."
"And you sir, can leave," The security guard said to the man and walked away.
Our smiles vanished when the security guard left and we glared at the man while he stared at us in fear. I winked at him and he left. As soon as he was out of sight, I sighed in relief and hugged Marcus.
"Really Marcus? Why didn't you put the gun in the bag like I told you too?" I asked in whisper.
"Because I didn't want to, Baby cheeks," he pecked my cheeks. "But thank you for your help. Did you tell Aaliyah to scream?"
I nodded,"Yeah."
"My baby," he said proudly and kissed my forehead. "Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta go dress into the onesie."
I furrowed my eyebrows but smiled, "You don't have to if you don't want to."
"Do you want me to?" Marcus asked.
"Well... yes," I replied.
"Then I'll do it," Marcus said slowly. "Because I'll anything for you. And I mean it." He said as I stared into his eyes.
He meant it.
And with that, he walked away.

The Twelve
In a world marred by the supernatural, Japan suffers from its own fair share of evil and demonic disasters, with generations of shamans known as Onmyoji protecting their homeland from these forces of evil. Capable of wielding magic and using spirits of their own, these shamans were not only skilled in battle, but also divination. However, they were unable to correctly predict Japan's loss in World War Two, and suffered the punishments that followed. Persecuted and torn apart by infighting, the Onmyoji reunited under the banner of the Tsuchimikado clan, descendants of Abe no Seimei, one of the greatest Onmyoji to ever live. The Onmyoji began to rebuild and to regrow. Ren is the sole heir to the Tsuchimikado family, but has been unable to practice Onmyodo ever since his birth, even though he possesses the greatest ability in the family. But when disaster befalls his family, Ren has nobody to turn to, and no idea how to use his powers. As he journeys to escape the same fate his family faced and attempts to learn how to use his powers, there is only one question on his mind; as the Tsuchimikado heir, how can he save the Onmyoji... from themselves? ---------------------------------------------- note from author: I'm writing this based loosely on the very real theories of Onmyodo, and so my writing may not be a truthful or accurate depiction of Onmyodo or other related areas, such as religion, for instance. That is why, while depicted in the real world, events that happen may seem unrealistic and it may be easier to imagine it as a parallel universe that is the same as ours, but with slight differences so that my possible errors will be easier to overlook. Sorry, and thanks!
