《The Nerd who cried Bad Boy》fifty two

I stared at my reflection, smiling proudly.
"For the first time ever..." Aaliyah said from beside me. "You look decent."
I glared at her then chuckled, looking back at the mirror. It was finally prom and Aaliyah had come to my house to check out the outfit. She wasn't dressed yet, in fact, she was wearing an oversized grey hoodie that she had got from Erik which was originally his. Though her hair had been curled and shortened. She also had the make-up already. Black eyeliner, purple eyeshadow and purple lipstick. Aaliyah was going with some random dude named Nate who was going to pick her up with his own limo and along other friends.
And me. I stared at my reflection in the mirror. I wore a comfortably tight, glittery white dress that ended by my ankles. My heels were white and my diamond earrings sparkled as I pulled a strand of my neck-lengthed hair behind my ear. Coating my lips with Aaliyah's deep red lipstick, I smiled and gave it back to her.
"You're right..." I nodded. "I'm not that bad looking."
Aaliyah chuckled,"But you know, Marcus will think otherwise."
I looked back at the mirror. "I think I have to go. Nate wants to meet me in an hour and I have to head back home to get dressed," Aaliyah said.
"Okay." I nodded and my phone vibrated on the nightstand. I took it and checked the messages that Marcus sent me.
He sent me a picture of the limo and I gasped, holding my chest. "I thought he would take us to prom with his car!"
Aaliyah sighed,"My date is also bringing a limo."
I rolled my eyes smiling.
I switched off my phone and placed it on the nightstand. "Sweetie!" my mother shouted from downstairs. "Are you ready?"
"Yeah! I'll be down in a second!" I shouted back. "You need a ride home, Aaliyah?"
Aaliyah shook her head,"My dad will be picking me up in a minute. So let's go."
I took my purse and phone. Aaliyah and I left the room and I descended the stairs, but stopped half-way because of my mom's screaming.
"I think I just lost my hearing," Aaliyah said after covering her ears. I looked at mother, her clasping her hands together as she stared me in pure joy. "Oh my God! Henry, come and see Alyssa!"
"What? I'm busy!" Dad shouted back from the kitchen.
"Henry, come in now or you're sleeping on the couch tonight," mom said as her left eye twitched. I could hear dad's groaning from the kitchen as he walked into the room. His eyes widened when he looked at me.
"You look amazing, sweet Heart." Dad smiled and I smiled too.
"Oh my God!" Mom squealed. "Get the camera, Henry."

"But--"
"Get the camera, Henry," Mom said slowly as she turned to glare at dad. Dad nodded and went upstairs past me.
"Alyssa, you look so beautiful!" Mom said excitedly as she started fanning her face with her hands. "That's it. I'm going to cry."
"Mom, don't cry," I pleaded. I wasn't going to cry too, it's just that I didn't want mom to cry. Dad came back and gave mom the camera.
"My dad's outside," Aaliyah said and hugged me, though not really touching me. "Don't want to mess your dress up. I'll see you soon."
"Bye," I said and watched as Aaliyah left the house after saying goodbye to my mother and father. Dad started taking pictures of me as I smiled. "Okay, Syd, I think that's enough crying."
Dad nodded, agreeing. Mom fanned her face, trying to stop crying. "It's just my baby is growing up so fast!" She started crying again.
"I'll go get some tissues," I said as I turned around and carried on upstairs.
I turned off my phone and put it in my pocket. I looked at my reflection and admired how handsome I was. I chuckled to myself.
"Dude, are you okay?" Chase asked. "You're laughing alone."
"Just leave him alone, Chase," Cameron said and I nodded at him. "He's laughing at how hideous he looks." Cameron finished and I glared at him.
Looking back at the mirror, I stared at my outfit. Black suit and black tie. Simple yet making me look so fucking good.
"Marcus, what are you thinking about there?" Erik said and sat on the edge of the bed. "How ugly you are?"
"Yes, actually," I replied sarcastically. "The fact that I am so ugly that I can't even stare at myself." I stared at Erik, who was also wearing a tux.
"And why the fuck are you wearing a tuxedo? You don't even have a date for prom. You don't even go to school," I said.
Erik narrowed his eyes at me,"That's because I fucking graduated genius."
"Whatever." I sighed.
The boys entered the room, they were all wearing tuxedos. And suddenly, I didn't feel special. Sam, Kendall and I were the only ones who were supposed to wear tuxedos but now that the gang was wearing tuxedos as well... I wanted to strangle someone.
"We look like we're about to act in those heist movies," Cameron said.
"But we are the heisters," Ian added.
Cameron looked down at his tux and sighed. "And shit! I look fucking hot."
Chase ran his fingers through his platinum blond hair and pushed me away from the mirror to look at his reflection. He started winking, running his fingers through his hair and making faces at his reflection. I glared at him and he noticed, slowly backing away from the mirror.

I stood in front of the mirror, fixing my hair. Suddenly, I remembered a horror movie that I had watched involving mirrors so I stepped away from it. "Where's the limo? Is it outside?"
"It'll arrive now and we'll fetch Alyssa," he said.
I furrowed my eyebrows,"No shit."
"Jesus. No need to be so fucking rude, asshole," Xavier said as he left.
I waited impatiently at the door, waiting for the limo to arrive. "Where is that, asswipe? I swear if he's late--"
"Dad, he's supposed to be here in about ten minutes. I just finished up earlier than expected," I said. "Here, I'll text him." I took out my phone and texted Marcus:
Marcus had replied:
I sighed though smiled. Dad stood outside with me. "You know you can stand inside, sweetie? I'll allow Sawyer to come in the house. I made some hot chocolate for us."
I looked at him,"With marshmallows?"
Dad smiled and nodded,"With marshmallows."
As I turned around to enter the house, I saw a limo approaching our house. I grinned and nudged my dad,"Dad, dad, there it is!" He groaned.
I watched excitedly as the limo slowly stopped in front of us. I expected for Marcus to walk out but he didn't which made me frown. "He must be scared that you'll kill him or something," I joked and Dad smirked proudly.
"That's right but... I won't hurt him," Dad assured. "Your mom wants to take pictures of you and Marcus together."
Marcus still didn't come out the car which I thought was odd. Marcus was pretty confident when he spoke to my dad, why wouldn't he do it now? Maybe he was stuck in the limousine because of some idiotic fighting of theirs with the gang.
I sighed,"Anyway dad, I'm going to go. Tell mom and Alyson I love them. I love you as well."
"I love you, sweet Heart," Dad said and pecked my cheek. "Be safe okay?"
I nodded, smiling. I opened the limo door and got in, waving at my dad and shut it. The limo drove away immediately.
I sighed then looked around, impressed by the looks of the limousine inside, I gaped. Blue and green lights shone inside the limo and the seats were soft and leathery.
"Marcus, this is actually beautiful," I said to him beside me then suddenly my phone started ringing. I picked it up and I furrowed my eyebrows when I saw who was calling.
Why would Marcus be calling me if he was right beside me? I turned to look at Marcus beside me then my heart stopped.
The person beside me wasn't Marcus.
The man who I thought was Marcus smirked and looked at me. It was definitely not Marcus. "I'm sorry, I-- who are you?" I asked.
The man took out a cigar from his pocket. "We've met before, Heart."
I furrowed my eyebrows as I stared at the man. He brought the cigar to his mouth and took out a lighter, lighting the end of the cigar and throwing away the lighter.
I looked at his lips, seeing a scar running through them. My eyes widened as I looked at the man. He was the man in the car I met while I was waiting for my mother to pick me up from school.
"Is Marcus--" I stammered and I cleared my throat, suddenly getting scared. "Does Marcus know you?" I finally asked.
The man smiled and blew out smoke. "Yes." he turned his head and we met eyes. The same chill ran down my spine as I stared into his danger-filled eyes. "You know me too but I didn't properly introduce myself," he said, turning his head away.
I wanted to get out of here.
I didn't know this man and he claimed that I did. I had met him but he scared the crap out of me.
"Who are you? Why am I here? Wasn't Marcus going to be here to fetch me?" I asked and the man sighed, smoke flowing out his nose.
"I had other plans for you. You're not going to prom," he said and I chuckled after staring at him for a full minute. I hoped that that was some kind of joke but nevertheless I still chuckled.
The man looked at me in a way that I actually stopped laughing. "And Marcus... Marcus doesn't know about this so let's just keep it that way for now. And for who I am..."
The man blew out smoke again and looked at me,"Do you know who James is?"
I thought for a second before nodding,"The guy who shot Marcus' father and is after me..." my eyes widened when I realised something. I looked at the man and I swear the colour drained out of me.
"James..." I said, realising that he was James.
"That took you long to figure out." James smirked.
I stared at him before I saw the chauffeur turn around to look at us. My heart dropped when I saw who it is.
Jason.
The person who used to physically bully me everyday.
"Hello, nerd," Jason said and took off his hat. "I missed you."
I quickly turned around to open the limo door but it locked as I was about the open it. I tried multiple times to open it even though I knew it was locked. Tears started falling down my cheeks as my throat started to burn.
"Don't worry, Heart," James said. "We won't kill you... yet. It's Marcus we want."
