Staring at Alyssa, my eyes started to well up with tears as anger inside me started to build up. It hurt me to see her hurt. It looked like she wanted to scream my name out but since the ducktape was over her mouth -- that I so badly wanted to remove -- she couldn't say anything.
My gaze hesitantly shifted to James who was grinning proudly. He took a sip of his wine and started walking towards me as me, Sam and Kendall started walking towards him.
We stood in front of eachother. I staring at the reason of my father's death. James had this smug look on his face, one that made me want to take out my gun from my waist and shoot his face.
"Malik, Sanders, Caine," James said. "Nice to meet you again."
Sam, Kendall and Chase said nothing, they just glared at James.
"You have the money?" James asked as he gave his wine glass to his guards.
"Yes," I replied through gritted teeth. I looked at Alyssa again who was already staring at me with tears in her eyes. My lips parted.
Sam and Kendall showed James the four silver suitcases that had half a million in each. "Two million, what you wanted," I said. As James was about to have his guards take the suitcases.
"Uh-uh," Sam and Kendall said simultaneously.
James frowned,"What?"
"Alyssa," Chase said. "What is she doing in the helicopter?"
James smirked. "For safety reasons," he had replied reluctantly.
Sam and Kendall cocked their head at the side. I also didn't believe that. "Well... I'm here now, bring her here," I demanded.
"The money first," James said and I chuckled.
This asshole thinks he's funny.
"I want Alyssa," I said slowly for him to hear me properly. "We'll exchange at the same time."
James stared me for a few seconds before smiling and saying,"Bring the girl."
The two men in the helicopter jumped out and held Alyssa bridal style. They dropped her, letting stand on her own. One of the men had held her tightly around her arm and they walked to us, pushing Alyssa along the way.
James wrapped his arm around Alyssa and looked at me,"You really love her don't you?"
"James... we have your money," Sam said.
"Give us Alyssa," Kendall told him and James sighed.
"Okay."
James let go of Alyssa and Alyssa fell in my arms and I wrapped my arms around her tightly, making sure she felt safe. Sam and Kendall gave James' guards the money. Alyssa looked at me, her brown eyes telling me something.
Warning me.
I furrowed my eyebrows and Alyssa started crying. "What did they do to you?" I asked, only she could hear me. She said things but they were muffled. I carefully peeled off the piece of ducktape on her mouth and she panted.
"Marcus, you gotta help me! They're planning on killing you and they're going to transport me to another gang for--" Alyssa blurted but she was grabbed by the guards and dragged towards the helicopter but she fought back.
"What? No, James, I gave you your fucking money!" I shouted and James smirked.
"Yes." he nodded. "Thank you for that."
Alyssa screamed while she was being pulled into the helicopter. "No! Where are you taking her?" Kendall asked stepping forward.

"A gang is willing to pay triple the amount you are paying me for her," James explained as he backed away. "And thanks for the money." He turned around and headed for the helicopter.
"What do you mean?" I asked as I pushed against the guards.
James paused and looked at me. "Say goodbye to your 'Baby cheeks', Sawyer," James said and gave me a faint smile before he turned around and walked to the helicopter. "No!" Alyssa screamed and they put her in the helicopter.
I punched the guy in front of me and try to push away from them. The thirteen guys came and circled Sam, Kendall, Chase and I .
"Shit, I need to get Alyssa!" I told the Sam and Kendall. The men charged at us but I ducked and kicked them. Just then, Xavier and Ian walked in through the doors and saw us. They took off their blazers and threw them on the ground as they ran towards us.
Xavier punched the guys that had their grasp on me and Ian also knocked the guys out and helped me get free. "I need to save Alyssa," I told the guys that just came in.
The one guy who was fighting with Chase took out his gun from his waist and aimed at Chase. "Chase, look out!" I shouted and Chase turned the guy with the gun.
He pulled the trigger.
Chase looked down at his chest, watching the blood spread on his white shirt. We, the gang, got distracted and the rival gang took advantage of that.
"Chase!" Ian screamed and bit his lip. Ian took out his gun and shot the guy who had shot Chase.
Ian shot him three times.
Ian ran to Chase and took off blazer, immediately trying to help Chase. Chase panted as he sat upright against the wall. "Chase, don't worry, I got you," Ian said with almost tears in his eyes.
"Oh shit, it hurts so bad." Chase panted and lightly chuckled to himself. I ran to them and quickly looked at Chase.
"Chase, are you okay?" I asked, though I knew he wasn't.
Chase nodded weakly,"Go help Alyssa. I'll be fine."
I nodded, tears forming at the corner of my eyes.
The long blades started to rotate making the helicopter hover slightly from the rooftop. "Fuck!" I cursed and someone punched me. I punched the guy back and he stumbled back. "Kendall, cover me!" Kendall defended me from the guys and I ran to the helicopter. I took my blazer and threw it aside.
Pushing myself to run faster, I remembered who I was doing this for.
Alyssa.
As the helicopter floated in the air, I jumped from the edge of the building and ended up in the air. My legs cycled in the air, trying to get closer to the helicopter. I reached my arm out and I grabbed the metal pole of helicopter. I was hanging in the air as the helicopter flew. The gang was still fighting the rival gang for me, Chase looked weaker as Ian laid beside him, slapping him repeatedly.
Hang in there, Chase.
I looked up and noticed that they hadn't noticed I was there. I started swinging, so that I swing high enough to get my legs in the helicopter and kick whoever was sitting by.

I swung making the helicopter sway.
There were some murmurs from the people in the helicopter about the swaying. I swung forward high and rotated 90 degrees into the air and into the helicopter, kicking some guard and landing inside by the process.
Alyssa gasped and I punched the guard and threw him out the helicopter. He screamed then I heard a loud splash. The other guy guarding Alyssa attacked me, grabbing me by the collar and throwing me out the helicopter but I held the sides of the entrance. I kicked my way in, kicking the guy and he fell out the helicopter.
Jason was flying the helicopter and James was sitting beside him. James clenched his jaw and jumped into the backseat with me and started punching me. I pushed him back and James took out his gun, pointing it to my head.
Alyssa stared at us, wide-eyed. She kicked James' hand which had the gun and James dropped it. I punched James and took the gun as he groaned. I pointed it to his head.
He grinned.
"Go ahead. Shoot," James said. "Isn't that what you always wanted to do? Shoot me?"
I let out a breath, staring at James as I pressed the head of the gun harder against his forehead.
"It's going to make you happier right? It's going to make your father happier right? Shoot. Me," James said making me weaken with pain.
"Shoot," James repeated. "Shoot."
I shut my eyes and I felt tears trail down my cheeks.
"You're so fucking weak." James chuckled and grabbed the gun away from me and pointed it to my arm.
Without hesitation, he pulled the trigger and shot my arm. I cried out and Alyssa screamed. She kicked James repeatedly with her heels, stabbing him in the process. I groaned, clutching my arm tight and grabbed James' face and slammed it to the window. It cracked and a little bit of blood appeared from his nose and forehead.
Alyssa took the gun that James had dropped and pointed at him. She reluctantly pulled the trigger, shooting James' stomach. James attacked her and they started fighting though Alyssa still had her hands tied.
I heard two gun shots.
Both James and Alyssa were frozen, both staring at eachother wide eyed before James fell to the side and his lifeless body fell out of the helicopter. Jason stared at us in shock. "Get out," Alyssa said sternly, pointing the gun at him and I looked at Jason while I clutched my arm tightly, the blood staining my hand and shirt.
Jason sneered at us,"This is not over." He jumped out the helicopter and we heard a loud splash indicating he had landed in the ocean.
As I was about to the reach for the wheel, the helicopter tilted making Alyssa lean back.
"Alyssa!" I shouted as she started sliding off. Alyssa screamed and she fell out of the helicopter but I caught her, grabbing her arm tightly. Her hands were still tied together. Alyssa's legs dangled in the air and I had struggled to hold her because of my wounded arm that was shot. I gritted my teeth as I tried to pull her upwards, I was trying to ignore the pain.
Tears fell from her beautiful eyes as she stared me,"Marcus!"
"No, I got you," I promised and pulled her upwards, ignoring my aching, bleeding arm. I managed to get her in the helicopter and I panted, catching my breath. Alyssa quickly held the wheel, tilting the helicopter back to it's normal direction.
"Marcus, thank you! I love you so much!" she cried.
I smiled,"I love you too, Baby cheeks."
I turned to Marcus and smiled before flying us back to the building where the gang was. It wasn't a safe landing but at least we landed. There was another helicopter there, taking in the injured guys.
I jumped out the helicopter and helped Marcus out. I had untied the ropes and I was helping him walk since he was tired. He had asked about the bruises on my face.
The nurse came and immediately took Marcus away from me. "Don't worry, sir. We'll get you help." He lead Marcus into the helicopter and I turned to see Ian crouching down next to Chase who was laying down.
It didn't look he was breathing.
I furrowed my eyebrows,"No, no, no," I murmured, rushing to them. I crouched down next to Chase and examined his body. I looked at Ian who had tears in his eyes. "Is he..." I trailed off, not wanting to say the word.
Ian slowly nodded, staring at Chase. There was huge amount of blood on his shirt and he wasn't breathing.
Chase was dead.
I immediately broke down to tears, begging and praying for sign that he is somehow okay. "Chase," I murmured and Ian hugged me tightly.
"I'm sorry," he whispered.
I pulled away from Ian, standing up. Xavier looked at me sadly and he turned away, hiding his face. It looked like he was smiling.
I furrowed my eyebrows and looked at Chase whose body was slightly shaking... in laughter!
My eyes widened and I looked at Chase,"Chase!"
Chase laughed and opened his eyes, looking at me. He laughed louder but then groaned and clutched his stomach.
"Chase!" I smacked his arm. "I almost died!" I shouted at him and he chuckled.
"I'm sorry, Alyssa. I just wanted to prank you," Chase said.
"Well it worked," I huffed. "You gave me a heart attack!"
Chase sat upright and Ian helped him up. "Can you believe this I got Ian to fake cry for me?" Chase said with a smile.
Ian shook his head, and helped Chase walk to the helicopter. Another nurse helped Chase to the helicopter.
"You're a bad actor, Chase, you asshole!" Xavier shouted.
"Your mom's a bad actor!" Chase shouted back and the whole gang 'oohed'. I chuckled, looking at Xavier's face when he heard that.
He smiled.
They had also lead me into the helicopter since I was also injured. I looked at Marcus and he looked at me.
I kissed him hard. I was so happy he was here to save me and he was safe. I could taste my salty tears while we kissed and I pulled away.
"I love you," I whispered.
"I told you I'd anything for you. From wearing a unicorn onesie for you and to jumping into a flying helicopter for you." he smiled and I saw his eyes sparkle. "I love you too."

Dauntless: Origins
Snow white hair, blue eyes, pale. Devil, monster, mutt, failure. This story follows one Tyr Faeron, crown prince, heir primus and mass murderer. A wrathful, angry, and lost young man that has made it his goal to hunt down the men that killed his mother - and he is on the cusp of finishing the promise he'd made before her cairn stones so many years ago. On the surface he is duplicitous, whimsical, and base of cunning - but within the depths beyond the many masks he wears, something is waiting. Waiting for an end, the end he'd come to long for, whether it be to himself or any possible threats in his vicinity. After that long labor of vengeance is completed... Nobody knows, not even him - an arrogant and otherwise solitary individual with nothing in the way of friends - only the brothers of the blackguard who follow him through life as he pursues this mission. He was born a prince, but he'd be called a disappointment - failing to manifest the great power that he was born to before being summarily discarded by his father, a 250 year old 'primus'. That word again... Men who can shatter mountains and level cities, that's what he was supposed to be. Some call them demi-gods, all Tyr sees is a poor excuse for a parent. Time had made him bitter, cruel, and arguably psychotic - seeing only enemies wherever he looks. They'd come for him, too, one day - to wipe the slate clean and make room for another - and it's his conviction to ensure that he dies while taking as many of those rats with him. This is a story about finding acceptance, growth, and understanding - from the point of view of a cold and brutal individual who wears many masks. Of someone who was born to be the greatest emperor the eastern continent has ever seen - but he failed in that. Strong, yes, but only in the context of a man - Tyr's magic is weak. His convictions are weak. He has been made a beast of instinct by loss and a constant confronting of his own impotency in the face of his father. A mythos that stretches across planes, of magic, a pantheon of cruel gods. Of someone who's dedicated his entire mind to the art of killing a man, and none to living a normal childhood or coming to understand friendship, empathy, or compassion. The first five years of his life a mystery, a hole none have ever been willing to fill, leaving him warped and twisted. His formative years gone and what must've been most of his humanity along with it. Now 17, he is on the cusp of leaving the city he'd never been permitted to leave for what might be the first time in his life. Always searching, though he won't know what for, for some time. An episodic that follows experience and symbolism rather than a never ending series of battles - where the conflict lay in constantly searching for wholeness in lieu of great villains or heroes. This is where it all started, the origin, the tale told a million times - and yet it hadn't been, 'reality' is tricky like that. The greatest lie ever told by the tongue that speaks is that any of this was real at all.
