《Patroclus & Achilles (AU) (completed)》Chapter 1.

Hi, so yeah, I'm doing another story even though I'm still writing Anachronism but I can't really stop because this I'm kind of obsessed with them now thanks to The Song Of Achilles so I want to write something about the three of them: Briseis, Patroclus and Achilles :)

I still remember the first time I saw her, I can't believe it has been more than one year, she was wandering the halls of my school like a lost puppy and even today I don't know why I talked to her though I don't regret it.
"Good morning, sweet lady" I salute her from behind, she is getting some books out of her locker, her hair tied with a ribbon is the only thing I can see.
"Patroclus" She half laughs. This, I like this about her, that awkward funny laugh that makes other laugh at her makes me laugh with her. "It's pretty early to be doing compliments" She smiles and I smile back, I know she loves when I smile, she loves many things about me that I hate, she loves going to see me play basketball, she loves my accent, she always sees the good things in me.
"Today, I remember that it has been more than a year since I first saw you" I tell her as I walk her to her first class of the day, and I recall the image for myself, she looked so afraid, she had her reason though, her family has just died in a fire and she almost immediately entered the foster system and was practically dragged here.
"And you still look as handsome as the day I first saw you" She smiles looking at the floor.
"I think we must go to get your eyes checked" I laugh and I play with her long hair. The bell rings just as we get to her class.
"I've to go, run if you don't wanna be too late" she says and gives me a peak and I start running, my first class is with Mr. Posey. and he hates people who get late.
"Good Morning, Mister Patroclus. Nice of you for joining us today." he tells me when I enter the room "See you in detention." I sigh and walk to one of the two empty spaces in the room, I notice the other empty space has been added. A new girl or guy.
Just as I thought a few minutes later a guy enters running to the class room just before being stopped by Mr. Posey. He is not like any guy here, he's different, he looks like as if he was carved by the gods. Blonde hair, fair skin and gorgeous eyes.

"I guess you're the new guy, I'm Mr. Posey, please tell us your name."
"Achilles" He answers, his voice is like music, it's not hard but it doesn't sound feminine, it's just right, perfect.
"Walk to your sit, there's only an empty space" The space next to me, he turns to write on the board again "Oh, and I'll see you in detention" he says without turning back.
"Rude much?" he asks when he takes his seat, it takes me a few seconds to realize he was talking to me, I was probably staring. I nod and he smiles, his smile is so bright it kind of remind me of Briseis' "Is he always like this?" I nod again, I don't seem to be able to find words but he just smiles and starts taking notes and I realize I haven't taken any.

"I feel like it's my fault that you're going to stay here" Briseis tells me just a little before the lunch ends.
"It's your fault" I say to her, laughing. She bites the last bit of her sandwich leaving her mouth full of crumbs, I wipe them with my finger.
"You could be a little more subtle" Her blue eyes look somewhat happy when they meet mine.
"Yes, I could" I look around and I see the new guy staring at us, Achilles, he's surrounded but yet he's staring at us. "Have you seen the new guy?"
"Yes, I think we don't have any class together but I saw him at the hall, why?"
"Just a question"
"He's really handsome."
"So go and date him" I tease.
"I would if I could but I kinda have a boyfriend who, you know, I date and we do things boyfriends do."
"Huh? Like what?"
"Kiss, go out and talk."
"Just that?"
"Yeah, we also have tons of sex if you were wondering that and he's pretty good so I don't really feel like changing him for a while, or ever" I laugh so hard and so much that my stomach hurts, it wasn't even that funny but she was the one saying it, I laugh at everything she thinks is funny even when it's not.

Detention is more like hell, being away from Briseis really annoys me, I feel as if I've no other friends even when I'm on the basketball team and we seem to always talk with someone when we're on the hall or so.

Achilles and I, surprisingly we're the only ones here.
He's sitting right at the other point of the room, I can't really see him as I'm on the front but I know he's there.
"I'll go out for a few minutes, if you're not here by the time I come back you'll be in serious troubles." Mr. Posey starts walking to go out of the room before stopping "I don't care if you're new" I think that's his thing, talking after a pause.
And that way we're left alone. I turn to watch Achilles who is seeing me too, he starts walking toward me, his muscles have some kind of rythm of his own that's overwhelming.
"Hi" He tells me leaning on my desk.
"H-i"
"Patroclus, right?" My name even sounds different coming out from his lips. I nod "Achilles" he smiles.
"I know." I somehow feel nervous.
"How long have you been living around here?"
"I've always lived around here so all my life" I think I might give him a miss conception about me being a rude person but I can't seem to act different.
"That's great, I moved here like three days ago but I enrolled yesterday" He smiles again and I smile too. "It's different here... From my old school" he looks around the room.
"Huh?"
"I used to go to a private school, my father is a business man so he wished for me to have the best education but I decided to study here, I really don't know why" He smiles at the thought, still examining the room with his eyes "But now I think I really did a great choice" He looks at me, smiling.
"What about your mother? Mine died, last year, I miss her in a certain way but I know she wasn't really happy living with my father not that they really saw each other anyways." He raises an eyebrow at my sudden confession.
"They're separated but she always sees me from time to time, she's marine biologist" He smiles again, his smile is as bright as the sun on a rainy day, that smile could end wars and cure cancer. What? "What amuses you so much? You look... Amused."
"Nothing" I shake my head.
He stops talking and I stop talking and we stay like this for a while, he leaning over my desk looking at the whole room, I seeing just the board and from time to time looking at him, just a small glance.
"I like you, we could be friends, what do you think?" He finally says after a while and my mouth hungs open. "Don't you like me? I know we would be great friends." He says smiling but without seeing me.
"Yes, we could be. It would be great" I smile.
"Tell me more about yourself then, and if you like I'll also tell you more about me"
We talked and talked and talked, I told him about how my father and mother were never close but how we were as close as a parent-son relationship could be, about how I met Briseis and I smiled at the thought, I told him about how school has always been for me, something I didn't really want but still need, I talked and talked for a while telling him things I was amused myself for saying, things that needed time for me to tell to Briseis I told to this stranger in a couple of minutes then I listened to him, his life was obviously more exciting than mine, he has always been some kind of prodigy and his fathers were proud but they just didn't feel like being together so they separated, then I listened about his childhood, it was a really good one, his life has always been good, mine wasn't really bad but his was better.
Finally after maybe an hour Mr. Posey came back.
"I'm sorry I took so long, you can go now" We do, we go together, to Achilles' house, he wants to show me his things, his video games, his house, he really wants us to be friends.
"I think he was fucking someone" Achilles tells me when we get to his car. "His shirt was wrinkled and bad-buttoned"
"You think? They say he has an affair with the secretary of the school, I think I can confirm it now" I say laughing and he laughs with me and it feels so good. We enter to his white mini cooper, a convertible one, and he starts driving to his house.
