Ariana ran comfortably alongside Caroline and Tyler, a slight giggle bubbling from between her lips from the pure thrill of it, her eyes fluttered closed as she felt the breeze kiss her cheeks, her senses guiding her from smashing headfirst into a tree. The second they were far enough away, Caroline smashed an unsuspecting Tyler against a tree, pressing her lips violently against his and his eyes flew open, hands up in surrender. Ariana flew to face the other way, her own eyes rather wide as the sound of their kisses infiltrated her ears. She had never been so uncomfortable as she paced around, unaware where exactly they were as she crushed leaves beneath her foot.
"I never thought I'd see you again" Oh, she'd pulled up for air, Ariana smirked at herself as she traced the bark on a tree with her eyes, taking in the air filtering through the green leaves above her. Everything was new to Ariana now and she was basking in utter bliss despite all the commotion. Never could she have dreamt of such an occurrence and as she watched a bird fly overhead, her thoughts drifted to Nik and his bird tattoo that she knew he had but had never gotten the chance to see.
Ariana would live eternally in the devastation that she had only ever seen his gorgeous face once in her life. But his beautiful blue eyes were scorned into her memory, to be remembered. Nobody could compare to her Niklaus.
"I don't get it, how are you alive?" Caroline asked the question on everybody's minds. And for the first time, Ariana paid attention to their conversation. If Tyler was alive, there was the possibility of Klaus being alive, a very slim possibility.
"This is going to sound incredible" Ariana frowned at his words "But.." he didn't get much time to say what was incredible because he was attacked with lips once more. Ariana grumbled and sat at the base of a tree a few feet away, facing firmly away. It was the most uncomfortable experience and Tyler seemed to feel the same way as he continued to push Caroline away. "Caroline, careful love"

Ariana couldn't help the way her heart lurched at the simple sound of that small pet name. And she turned around despite herself as if expecting to see him. Caroline continued to kiss Tyler before she suddenly stopped and held Tyler away from her, what he had wanted since they had started kissing.
"Did you just call me 'love'?" she sounded shocked and suspicious.
"I don't know, Love" he returned and their eyes were still locked but Ariana's heart was flying along like a steam engine, clattering noisily as she anticipated whatever he had to say. She knew her hopes were running wide but any chance was good enough for her, any possibility that her Nik was alive and well after all. "Did I?" his gaze looked behind the girl who was currently interrogating him to the doe eyes of Ariana Gilbert, eyes that could now see.
"What the hell did you do to Tyler!" Caroline suddenly yelled and Ariana jumped to her feet in shock, still not quite understanding the situation as she looked them over. She knew what was happening but her brain failed to believe it, protecting her heart from any further grief.
"See, that's what I enjoy about you," Tyler smirked in an expression that she recognised oddly but was somehow wrong. "So much more than a pretty face" he shrugged, straightening his jacket absentmindedly.
"Oh, My God. You're Klaus! You're disgusting" Ariana had never heard such amazing words leave a person's mouth and her heart thumped on happily. She wanted to scream or cry but currently, she stood there dumbfounded, tears threatening to spill down her gentle cheeks.
"And you're a glorious kisser" he confirmed it but Caroline was not his main priority any longer as he turned his new eyes to look at Ariana who was staring at him like a statue. Seeing her as a vampire, his heart had dropped immensely but Ariana was here before me because of that reason. And now they had forever and he couldn't ask for anything more. Caroline was pissed beyond belief but her anger melted away as she looked over at Ariana, seeing the awestruck expression. When she saw the love in her close friend's hearts, she couldn't help but forgive Klaus for what he had done. Because if he lived, Tyler would too. Of course, Klaus was currently hijacking his body but she was sure the original hybrid would evacuate soon enough.

"Nik?" her voice was hushed, and he could see from her expression that she didn't believe it just yet. But he couldn't help but smile gently, if he was in his own body, the expression would seem foreign on his features.
"Hi Little Love" she hickuped a sob and rushed toward him, throwing herself around him, he responded just as furiously. It felt odd, hugging her in this way and her hugging him but her relief to hear him was enough for her to set it aside, her head buried in his neck, sobbing away and he was grinning like a champion. If he was in his real body, she'd be stretching to put her head in the crook of his neck but for now, he didn't dwell on it. There was more to worry about as he hugged her. Ariana was the only thing- aside from his family- that he truly loved, and he would do anything in his power to protect her. Now they had an eternity to fulfil that.
"I thought you'd left me"
"Never" his voice was hushed and he hated the way it sounded, he longed to be back in his own body, to kiss her with his own lips and to live with her, to be with her now that they finally could be.

Medley of Fates Worse than Death
Rick wakes up in a world unknown to him. He doesn't know what exactly happened or why he is there, he just feels he's not from that world as if he had Dissociative amnesia. Soon after waking up, he gets attacked not once, not twice but three times in a single day. Our hero can know how strong enemies are thanks to a special ability of his, but the thing is... What good does it do to know just how weak you are compared to a deadly creature chasing you? This is a LitRPG Fantasy Adventure in which battles are won (or lost) with strategy and wits as our protagonists aren't necessarily the strongest... So if you enjoy more strategic battles I think you will love this story!About the chapters: I will post mostly 1,300 or so word chapters, I love weekly manga and feel like that pacing is similar to the one in a weekly serial chapter, hopefully, you enjoy these chunk-sized chapters :) I only do this for fun in my free time so I think I will probably post a chapter a week, but if my patreon ever gets busy I might put more time into my hobby xD If you feel like checking out some of the newest chapters, I have them over on my Patreon (Currently 5 chapters in advance): www.patreon.com/rija Extra info (Might get spoilery): As the story progresses I intend to add more strategy, politics and economics into the story, but it will still be mostly a LitRpg action-adventure. (Also if you had read my synopsis previously I changed it a bit because the elements I mentioned before in the synopsis won't come into play until much later into the story, and that's why I changed it.)
