《My Overprotective Brothers》Chapter 27

Amber's P.O.V
For the first time in my life I feel free, free from my clingy family, free from the bullying and free from my responsibilities.
And I can thank Finnick for that entirely.
He has shown me a side of life that is so addicting and exciting, doing things that I never thought I would ever do, doing things that I would be too scared to do, but with my boyfriend by my side I can achieve anything.
We are walking along the streets at night, holding hands and looking up at the stars and listening to the trees whistling in the wind, creating relaxing notices that calm my mind and relax me for once.
"Are you hungry babe?" Finnick asked me, holding my hand tightly as if I could blow away with the wind. I look up to his mesmerising eyes and nod my head, too tired to open my mouth and talk.
"We can get a takeout and eat in my car, sound good?" he asked, I nodded my head again and whispered a "Yes" and smiled brightly at him. A warm smile formed on his face and he stopped walking and engulfed me in a hug, sending sparks and warmth to flow through me.
A while back, I was cuddling with all my brothers in Jason's bed and we were all happy to be around each other and I said, 'If I could stay in a moment forever, it would be this one'.
But now I change my mind.
I want to stay in this moment forever. Being held in Finnick's arms whilst standing under the night sky in peace.
A moment I will cherish in my heart for many years to come.
"My precious little angel all wrapped up in my arms, how did I get so lucky?" Finnick murmured against my neck, his breath tickling my skin and warming my heart with his words.
"It's more like the other way around." I murmured. Finnick broke away from the hug and cupped my cheeks with his warm hands, a big smile plastered on his perfect face.
"No Amber it's not. I'm the one that should be thankful for meeting you, being able to cradle you in my arms and call you mine. Something so good in my life I have never experienced before, Amber. I have a fucked up past that haunts me to this day and I have raised myself when the people who were supposed too never did, never cared. When I got out of that situation I was a mess, I felt lost and broken, a feeling I'm no stranger too. But the second I made eye contact with you at the photoshoot, I knew you would be the girl that would fix me, heal my broken heart and fill that void in me that is filled with darkness. I'm not a good man Amber, I have done a lot of bad things and whenever I do those things alone, it seems to crumble me further. Amber, you're my angel and I will cherish you like the finest diamond the world is graced with, protect you from people that don't understand us. I will always be your protector, saviour and boyfriend." Finnick said with so much emotion, it brought tears to my eyes and Finnick caught them with his thumbs.

"This world is filled with narrow-minded, spiteful and judgemental people that will treat us differently from normal. Those people are scum and can't get in-between us, not until I take my last breath. Amber, do you promise to live your life with me and have an open-mind? Give me a chance and let me show you the world where nobody can find us to judge or discriminate? Let me make you feel things you have never felt before?" Finnick concluded whilst staring deeply into my eyes with hope and love. My eyes were cloudy with tears and an overwhelming feeling of love was consuming me. How can one man make me feel these things?
I didn't need to hesitate longer as I said the two magic words that my boyfriend was looking for.
"I promise," I said confidently, something I'm not usually but he brings out the hidden parts of me that were locked away before.
He smiled so brightly that it looked like it hurt, the moon shining and reflecting on his pearly white teeth, his hair messy and matching with the dark sky. So handsome.
There are still questions that I need to ask Finnick but I'm afraid of the answers, not because they might scare me, but I don't want to put pressure on him to answer them, knowing he has had a rough childhood I don't want to bring up unwanted memories.
We have now got the food and walking to his car that was parked at the back of the carpark under some trees.
"Stay back angel." He said and pushed the food where I was standing back. I was a little confused as to why but stood back as instructed.
Without a second later, Finnick pulled out a hammer from the waistband of his jeans and threw it against the glass window and smashed it to pieces. He unlocked the door from the inside and got in. I was in shock but stayed completely still and watched in amazement, I have only seen people do this in movies, So cool!
I didn't really know what he was doing but he was bashing things and taping different coloured wires together, but soon later the car roared to life and a huge smile graced Finnick's face.

"Get in my angel!" Finnick said happily then tossed the food in the backseats of the car.
I was still a bit shocked, but my legs luckily went into auto-pilot and did the work for me. Finnick opened the door for me and I sat down, trying to avoid the sharp glass.
"Do you like the car?" Finnick asked me. I looked around and it seemed like a pretty normal car, it had seats, steering wheel, doors and a roof. What more do you need?
"It's okay," I said happily, Finnick didn't see it that way and hit the steering wheel harshly and had anger in his eyes, his mood turned dramatically quick...
"I should've got the other car over there! Damn it! it isn't good enough for angel!! STUPID! STUPID! STUPID FINN!" Finnick screamed whilst hitting his head on the steering wheel repeatedly. If I didn't stop him quickly then he would have a concussion, or probably kill himself.
"Hey! Finnick stop! Babe, please stop!" I screamed in a panic and gripped his hands tightly, trying to stop him from hitting himself.
My touch seemed to calm him down and he looked up at me with teary eyes and a dark red mark on his forehead.
"It's not good enough for my princess." He stated simply whilst looking at me in pain. I shook my head vigorously and stroked his tense back and kissed his hands tenderly.
"No no, it's a good car! I didn't mean it like that Finn!" I said quickly, trying to calm him down. He visibly relaxed and sat back in his seat and closed his eyes for a second, still holding my hands in his and sniffing them.
"You had me worried princess! I thought you wanted the other car for a second." He said whilst lightly laughing like a maniac. I laughed a bit too, still a bit shaken up from earlier. I guess it's something I will have to get used to and I will try not to upset him in the future and please him however he wants me too, I don't ever want him to get upset.
I sat back a bit and processed his words, then something clicked in my mind.
"You mean this isn't your car?" I asked with confusion, Finnick looked amused and smiled sweetly at me, rubbing my cold hands.
"It is now babe!" He said proudly and reversed the car and drove on the empty road. He turned his head to me and smiled innocently which made me laugh loudly, omg this guy is so mad I love it!
"I can't wait to start this adventure with you," I said happily with a beaming smile on my face. Finnick turned to me with one hand on the wheel and smiled back, warming my body and sending my mind into a frenzy of weird emotions and a giddy feeling.
"I can't wait either, especially as it's with you, my precious angel."
