《The Cop Who Loves Me...A Teenager》chapter 35

Autumn's POV
There was a knock at the door. My eyes darted to the sound. After Halloween, I never answer the door unless Brody's home, so I just ignored it. But whoever was at the door, wouldn't stop knocking. Maybe it's an emergency. I decided to look out the peep hole to see who it was...Leo.
"Autumn, I know you're in there." He called through the door.
"Go away."
"I just want to talk to you. Can you let me in?"
"No."
"Please?" He begged.
"No."
"Why not?"
"I....I just can't."
"That's not a good enough reason. I'll stand out here all day until you let me in."
"Then stand out there for as long as you want. I'm not letting you in."
"Give me a GOOD reason and I'll leave."
I thought for a second.
"Well?" He asked impatiently.
"I don't trust you."
"You don't trust me? That's because you don't know me. And how can you get to know me through a door?"
"I don't think Brody wants me talking to you."
"He's not here, is he?" I didn't answer him. "I thought so. Come on Autumn. Let me in. I want to apologize for earlier today. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable in any way. I'd like to apologize in person, if you'd let me in."
I walked away from the door and got my cell phone out of my book bad. I dialed Brody's number and locked myself in Brody's room...yes, I still can't go into my own room.
"Hello?" He answered.
"Brody, he's here."
"Who is?" He asked, sounding concerned and angry at the same time.
"Leo."
"What?! He's not in the apartment is he?"
I heard banging coming from the front door. "COME ON AUTUMN! STOP ACTING LIKE A CHILD." Leo yelled loud enough for me to hear all the way in the bathroom.
"No. But he won't leave until I let him in." I said with fear in my voice.
"I'm almost home. I'll be there in 5 minutes. Where are you?"
"I locked myself in the bathroom in case he gets in somehow."
"Good. Stay there and don't come out until I tell you to, alright?"
I nodded my head, but quickly remembered that he couldn't see me. "Ok."
"I love you Autumn. Everything is going to be fine." He reassured me. "Stay on the phone with me until I get there."

"Alright."
"AUTUMN, IF YOU WON'T LET ME IN, I'LL BREAK THE DOOR DOWN" Leo yelled.
"Oh god." I said starting to cry.
"What? What's happening?" Brody asked.
"He's says he gonna break the door down."
"I'M COMING IN, In 3.....2......1." Then there was a loud smashing sound.
I cried even harder. "He's inside Brody. I know he is. I heard him break down the door."
"Come come out wherever you are." Leo sang, tauntingly.
"Brody" I sobbed into the phone.
"I'm almost there." He said. "Dispatch, this is Lt. Taylor, I need all available units to the Shady Creeks Lake view apartment building, apartment 316 for a break-in. A child is in danger. I repeat all available units to the Shady Creeks Lake View Apartments room 316." I heard him call in to the station.
"LT. Taylor, this is dispatch, all units are on there way." I heard the lady say to him on his radio.
"Hurry Brody." I pleaded.
"I don't like games Autumn. Come out so we can talk." Leo said opening and closing doors.
"Please." I whispered into the phone so Leo wouldn't hear me.
Over the phone, I heard sirens starting. Then I heard a police car right outside the building. The bathroom door- knob started turning. I watched it carefully as I back up until my back was up against the bathtub. Leo put force on the door to open it, but luckily I locked it.
"I found you." He said in a creepy voice.
"Brody." I whispered into the phone. "He found me."
"I'm coming up the stairs now. Hang in there Autumn." He was breathing heavily now.
"Unlock the door Autumn, or I'll break it down." Leo threatened.
I didn't say anything, hoping he'll just think it's a locked door and walk away.
"Ok. Have it your way." Then he kicked the door in and glued his eyes on me.
I cried even more. "Please don't hurt me." I pleaded.
"I'm almost there!" Brody said into the phone.
Leo came towards me, grabbed my arm, and pulled me off the ground, causing me to drop the phone. Leo pulled me out of the bathroom and down the hall and out of the apartment towards the elevators. "LET ME GO!!" I begged, struggling to get out of his grasp.
"No! You're coming with me."
"Why?"
"Because I always get what I want, and I want you Autumn."

"LEO!!" Brody yelled from the other end of the hall where the stairs were.
"We're just going for a little walk Brody." Leo said just as the elevator doors opened.
Brody started running towards us, as I resisted Leo's forcing me into the elevator. He finally pulled me in and the elevator doors closed just as Brody got to us. "NO!!!!!" Brody screamed in defeat.
Leo started laughing. "What a loser." I took this opportunity to kick him where the sun don't shine. He slumped over in pain. I pressed the door open button repeatedly, but it wouldn't open. I watched the floor numbers go down one by one. 2 more floors until it stops.
"You're not going to get away from me." He warned. He got up and threw me against the elevator wall. "Kiss me." He said in a husky voice. I shook my head. He grabbed my face to hold it in place. His lips came closer to mine until they were finally touching. I resisted his kiss, which made him even more frustrated. "Kiss me back." He said through clenched teeth. Then we heard the beep, indicating that the elevator stopped. He let go of my face and grabbed my arm again to pull me out of the elevator. As he was pulling me out, he suddenly let go of me and he was on the floor fighting Brody.
"I TOLD YOU TO STAY AWAY!" Brody yelled.
"AND I TOLD YOU, I WANT AUTUMN!"
Brody punched Leo and pinned him to the floor. He turned Leo onto his stomach and handcuffed his hands behind his back. "Leo Hansen, you are under arrest for breaking and entering and attempted kidnapping."
Just as Brody was telling him his rights, other police officer finally arrived. I saw Lindsay too. She came over to comfort me. "Autumn what happened?" She asked.
"Leo broke in. He tried to take me. He made me kiss him." I said between sobs.
"Ok. ok. It's all over now. Did he hurt you?"
I shook my head no.
"Alright. Just stay here. Brody will come over in a few minutes."
I nodded my head, understandingly.
Brody's POV
"Brody what happened?" The Chief asked me just as I was getting up off the floor.
"THAT bastard tried to take Autumn. He broke into my apartment after Autumn refused to let him in." I explained in full hate.
"Chief, you honestly can't believe Taylor." Leo said trying to convince the chief to take his side.
"Actually, I do. I was just up at Brody's apartment and all the evidence is there Leo. The front door is in a million pieces, the bathroom door has a shoe print that matches your shoes and your size. And Autumn is even a witness to it. She's the victim. Deputy Collins..." He ordered the newbie cop. "you and Sergeant Wheeler take Leo down to the station and book him. I'll be there shortly. Oh and Leo, your fired."
Wheeler and Collins led an unhappy Leo away. "Thank you Chief." I said sincerely to him.
He nodded once to acknowledge my thank you. "Go to her Brody." He said motioning me towards Autumn.
I approached Autumn and knelt down beside her. "Hey, are you OK?"
She nodded her head. "Yeah. I'm fine."
I wiped her tears away with my thumb, looking deeply into her eyes.
"I feel like you're always saving me Brody."
"It's my job to. Remember?"
"Yeah. Thank you though."
"Don't thank me. In fact, I never want you to thank me ever again. I do what I do out of love for you. I would do anything to keep you safe, even if you told me not to I still would. I love you with all my heart. I will never let anything happen to you."
Autumn smiled. "I love you too."
"I love it when you smile." I leaned in and kissed her. She gladly kissed me back.
Autumn pulled back and looked around at everyone staring at us. I turned her head back towards me. "I don't care about everyone else. I only care about you." I said making her smile even more, and kissed her passionately this time, making everyone around us gasp in shock. That only made me want to kiss her more passionately. It finally feels relieving to kiss Autumn in front of everyone. Now they know about us, but I don't care. I love Autumn Reynolds and I'm not afraid to show it.
