《The First Champion | BOTW Link x GN!Reader》Calamity Ganon

(Ending spoilers ahead! Please don't read these last two chapters until you've completed the game!)
You and Link both step into the sactum and see a massive, swirling bulb of malice. Something inside thrashes as a blinding light begins to glow from the center. You can feel it in your bones that you are currently staring at Zelda's power. She is close. Link feels it too.
"Zelda?" you both eagerly call as you take a step further into the sanctum.
Zelda's voice answers back, echoing distantly. "...Link. (Y/N)... I'm sorry," she cries, "but my power isn't strong enough..." The light of her power fades back into the orb. "I can't hold him."
Ganon seizes the opportunity and breaks free from the temporary seal. A laser, similar to a guardian's, rips through the barrier and destroys the sanctum floor and walls. All is still until the orb breaks and reveals Calamity Ganon.
Ganon falls in a heap on the sanctum floor and breaks the stone grounding. You and Link both lose your footing as the ground split apart. You reach for each other but end up falling deep under the castle.
You use your paraglider to land on your feet and stand by Link again, facing the calamitous monstrosity. The disgusting heap lifts itself up on its spider legs and turns around to face the two challengers. It's face was human-like with glowing, orange eyes, but it was hideously scarred in malice to be recognized as anything remotely humane.
It rises off of its front legs and riots a roar, its voice growling deeper than the Blights. Equipped on its many hands was a collection of weapons all of which you've seen before. It was a conglomerate of everything destructive you have defeated so far. Now it is time to put an end to the final boss once and for all.
Interrupting the fight that hasn't even begun, you and Link can hear familiar voices calling from over yonder. The spirits of the past Champions were gathered at their Divine Beasts.
"Now my moment has finally come," you can hear Revali's voice declare. "Brace yourself, Ganon, for the sting of my revenge!"
"This will be our final opportunity," Mipha's spirit says, "We will not fail!"
"Let's go, little guy, Commander," Daruk's voice booms, "Now! Open up wide, Ganon!"
"A hundred years in the making," Urbosa says, "Hold on, Princess. Our moment has arrived!"
A rumble of a thousand forces erupts towards the castle. You and Link both look up to the gaping opening to the sanctum and see a mass of blue light from the four Divine Beasts barreling towards Ganon. It plummets down and rains onto Ganon, who shrieked helplessly as his health depleted down to half way.
Broad smiles shine on both of your faces.
But Ganon isn't defeated yet. He rises to his feet again, now madder than ever, and roars a howl of fury twice as loud as before.
You take a deep breath and glance at Link, who gives you a determined nod. You both reach behind you and unsheathe your swords of legend, both glowing with prophecy. The moment has come.
Link steps forward as the battle began and grabs his Hylian Shield from behind him. In response to his guard, Daruk's Protection shines a force field around him. Ganon raises a blazing blade, a copy of Fireblight's, and takes a swipe at Link. The force shatters Daruk's Protection, and leaves Link unharmed.
You take out your Ancient Bow while Ganon is focused on Link and fire arrows that landed right on target in Ganon's face.

Ganon jumps in the air and slams its body down on Link, which splashes its damage down in a radius that almost hit you. Another Daruk's Protection was used to defend Link.
Ganon throws the fire blade in the air and hammers it down on the ground, spitting fire all around. Link perfectly jumps out of the way in time to perform a flurry rush that smacked Ganon into even more of a rage. Ganon slams its body down once again, but Link jumped out of the way, joining you a few feet from the fight.
You shake your head and growl in frustration to snap yourself out of it. You angrily will yourself to focus on Ganon, who was now backing up against the wall and used its many limbs to climb. You once again fire arrows directly onto Ganon, but he refused to fail and lessen his grip.
Safely distanced from the two of you, Ganon summons thunder out of the air and rains bolts of metal down onto the arena, all charged with electricity, the exact same attack that Thunderblight used. You and Link keep yourselves moving to avoid getting hit and separate from each other.
Another wave of its hands summons twisters of wind, like Windblight, and while neither of you are looking, it hurls Waterblight's massive spear down toward you, which barely grazes your skin.
Now with its victims disoriented and distracted, Ganon jumps off of the wall and slams down at the center, which knocks Link off of his feet. You rush in close to Ganon and charge up an attack, summoning Urbosa's Fury, which crackled in a field around you and temporarily paralyzed Ganon. You use this opportunity to deal great damage. Link pushes himself to his feet to help you.
Ganon hammers its fire blade on the ground again and set fire to the flooring. You and Link jump out of the way in time, now on either sides of Ganon. You back away and fire more arrows at Ganon, who then returns back on the wall.
Ganon waves his hand and conjures a mass of Crynonis Ice blocks, which in turn hurtle down towards the both of you. Link grabs the Sheikah Slate and uses Crynonis to destroy the blocks before they hit.
While Link is busy, you have an idea and crouch down, touching the ground as you summon Revali's Gale. The winds take you high into the air, above Ganon. You steer your glider towards the beast and let go, grabbing your bow. As you fall, you nock Ancient arrows on your bow string and shoot them right at Ganon's face.
Once the ice was fully destroyed, Ganon jumps off of the wall and slams itself down back on the ground. You copy him and grab your sword to deliver a slam attack of your own. Once you're back on your feet, you once again use Urbosa's Fury to keep Ganon from moving. You both deal another mass of attacks.
You back away as Link steps forward with another Daruk's Protection beaming around him. Ganon took another swipe with its blade, but only broke through the shield.
You prepare an attack of bomb arrows and shoot them once Link was at a safe distance. Ganon tries another fire attack, but misses both of you.
Ganon then forwards a different hand equipped with a guardian laser. The red beam pins a target onto Link, who brings forth his shield once again. However, Daruk's Protection doesn't appear this time. The power was used up and was cooling down.

But a simple laser was no match for Link's perfect guard. The laser ricocheted right off of the Hylian Shield's flawless surface as Link performed a parry, and was sent right back to its dealer. Ganon slumped on the ground as its own attack burned him.
You and Link both rush in and destroy Ganon's health down to a quarter, triggering phase two.
You both step back as Ganon roared and activated its new magic: a brilliant golden shield that masked Ganon's entire body. You try an attack of arrows, but no matter how perfectly they were placed, the shield protected Ganon.
Ganon backs up and climbs back on the wall. You try bomb arrows, but they fail. The Ancient arrows even fail too. Ganon spiders on the wall, taunting you.
You and Link then watch in horror as the golden shield mends Ganon's wounds.
"He regenerates?!" Link yells. You both loudly curse.
Ganon prepares another attack of lasers. You grab your Ancient Shield with an idea and step in front of Link. The first two lasers miss, but the third lands right on the eye of the shield and reflects back toward Ganon.
The laser brakes the diamond shield and causes Ganon to fall off of the wall. You and Link run in and deal as much damage as you can. You charge another attack and summon Urbosa's Fury once again, keeping Ganon from moving for a little longer.
Ganon rises to its feet and activates the shield again with a howl. It stays on the ground to try a fire blade attack and misses. It tries another laser, pointed again at Link, and breaks its own shield with its own attack.
The shield is down. Ganon is almost dead. You both try with all your might to make this the final attack, but Ganon reinvents its golden shield once again.
Ganon raises its blade of fire and hammers it down on the ground again, this time landing right on Link. Link was knocked off his feet and tossed into the fire, but thankfully, his life was saved by Mipha's Grace.
You step in front of Link with your shield and protect him from another guardian laser. Ganon's shield brakes. Link is back on his feet, and you both slash and tear at Ganon's malice-made flesh. You snap your fingers to cast Urbosa's power, but found that you used up your fair share and the power was busy cooling off.
Ganon's golden sheen returned and he back up again onto the wall. He was just a sliver away from death, but that didn't matter. Ganon's health regenerates again just out of your reach.
Ganon waves his hand and conjured a concentrated ball of fire that slowly floated down towards you. You grip your shield tighter and back away, hiding behind it as it detonates a blast of death. But you were too close for your shield to do anything, and you are knocked off of your feet. Fire eats away at your clothes with smoke coating your lungs.
Ganon jumps back down and slams its body on the ground next to you. You didn't receive a direct hit, but the splash damage was just as devastating, and caused you to tumble on the ground.
Link catches up to you and helps you up, his Hylian Shield in his other hand to protect you both.
"No..." you groan as Ganon climbed back on the wall, regenerating its health. "We almost had him."
Link hands you a skewer of meat and hearty radishes. "We'll get him. Hang on."
But you didn't want Link to fight Ganon while you stood helplessly at the sidelines. You screw your face in anger and refuse his offer, stepping forward with your sword by your side.
"(Y/N), what are you doing?!" Link panics.
"Please work... Please work..." you mutter and call upon Urbosa again. To your great relief, her power had returned. You walk toward Ganon's comfortable spot on the wall, your grip tightening on your sword, and release the electrifying power.
Thunder echoed through the room as lightning reached the repulsing monster. The power of the gods proved to be greater than Calamity Ganon's and broke through his shield. Ganon crashes down onto the ground.
Link dashes past you as you fall to your knees and delivers the finishing blow.
Ganon groans on the floor, spilling his evil blood as he tried a last attempt to stand. Link backs up and finds his place next to you. He grabs your hand and pulls you to your feet. You both look at the dying monster, your hands intertwined.
Ganon feebly crawls towards the two of you, but is ultimately destroyed by a mass of red light.
A hurricane of wind bellows past you, trying to knock you off your feet. You stubbornly stay standing and watch as the malice storm gathers in the center of the room and rises up and out of the sanctum.
You and Link chase after it and watch it disappear out of sight. Something is wrong. Where is it going?
Before you and Link can exchange questions, you both dissolve into light. Two globes of light carry you both out of the sanctum.
When you found yourself again, you weren't in a place where you expected. In front of you, a ways away, was Hyrule castle. It was rid of the sickness of Calamity. Behind it was a burning sky of orange.
You realize you are standing in the middle of Hyrule Field-- in the heart of the land. Link is next to you, but to both of your surprises, you are accompanied by Ginger and Epona. You don't have time to greet your friends, however, as your attention shifted to the malice smoke streaming past you.
You both turn around and are met with the storm of malice. It twirled and churned, molding and morphing something inside.
"Ganon..." The voice of Princess Zelda said. "Ganon was born out of a dark past. He is a pure embodiment of the ancient evil that is reborn time and time again."
Behind the cloak of darkness, you can see blackened flesh emerge out of the cloud. You catch a glimpse of monumentally massive tusks and hooves.
"He has given up on reincarnation and assumed his pure, enraged form."
Otherworldly red flames decorated the beast's back.
"If set free upon our world, the destruction will be unlike anything ever seen before."
The beast shook the earth as it fully stood on the ground, disturbing both of your horses. The transformative storm dissipated and left you with a full sight of the beasts ugly face of a boar.
Dark Beast Ganon.
It shook you to stare death in its face, because you knew you were staring at something that came from a place of gods and spirits. Hearing the voice of one was one thing, but to stand in front of one that towered over you and threatened to destroy the face of the earth...
You are snapped out of your thoughts however as you hear your sword begin to stir in its sheath. You grab the handle and feel the weapon vibrating as you unsheathe it. You stare at it in confusion as it began to glow a bright light.
The royal sword is then lifted into the air and out of your grip. The metal bends and reforms itself inside of the light. The blade smooths over and curves into a beautiful arch. The gold resculpts itself into elegant bends and swirls.
The golden star in the sky dims and reveals the sword transformed into a heavenly divine bow.
"(Y/N), the royal family entrusted you with a weapon made by the Spirits of Good. You did good to take care of it, but now it must be used for its true purpose to defeat evil. (Y/N), Link... you may not yet be at a point where you have fully recovered your power or all of your memories..."
The Bow of Light was lowered from the sky and hovered a few feet from you, just out of reach.
"But, Link... Courage need not be remembered... For it is never forgotten."
You understand.
"Link, it's time," you say to him. "Get over there and defeat Ganon once and for all."
Link is panicked. "But... that bow is yours, right? You--"
"No, Link." You shake your head with more certainty than you've ever felt before. "You are the hero. It has to be you."
Link took in a deep breath and nodded as he mounted his horse. You followed him and climbed onto Ginger's back.
"I'll distract him," you say. "Now go!"

Hope
There were 2 options: Fight the same war for countless more aeons. Shatter the Betrayer's undead legions time and time again until all was ground to dust. Because the endless legions truly never end. A hair's breath of ground in a century is enough if the war takes all of eternity. Or to choose Hope. To cast away his memories, his power, his very life. To wager everything on a chance to prevent their eventual end or to perish trying. Because if he were to return it would be with the power necessary to finally slay what remains of the Betrayer. Of the last Aspect. Only then would all things be right. And so, he chose the latter. Expect:Weak to strong quick-ish.Powerful MC reincarnates, gradually starts regaining memories.MC that is an actual character not a plot device. My original unique magic system discovered along with the MC.My original setting with mythos that have both been living rent free in my head for actual years.Opening arc will be less fast than the following story. Good writing (I think) and grammar. Upload schedulle: 2 chapters a week of 3-4k words each. I want to upscale to 3 in the future. Meant to be read in RR dark mode. For those coming here from my other stories, this is indeed a reimagining of my older story, CotM. I say reimagining because I have changed so much it cannot be called just a rewrite. Among the major changes, MC is fundamentally different in personality and background, I have actually planned the story out and changed it almost completely and I have adjusted my mythos so it no longer has as many holes as swiss cheese.
