He went back to his bed and resumed his game after a few minutes, but he found himself getting bored quite soon, so he went to bed, to await the next day.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zelda woke up rather early, she was excited yet nervous about the day to come. Unlike the previous week, she knew where she was going exactly.
The night before, she planned out what she was going to wear, and she practiced different lines of speach in the mirror so she knew exactly what to say. She felt as though she had to impress Link and his parents, and hoped that she could make Link feel comfortable.
She secretly hoped that they'd go off talking about maths and physics equations, and start to talk about things that they liked, she wanted to get to know him properly.
As soon as she awoke, she smiled so brightly that the sun was put to shame. She literally jumped out of bed and ran into her bathroom, before stopping infront of the mirror after realising what she just did.
"Gosh, what is wrong with me today?" She spoke aloud, glaring herself in the eyes. She was still smiling.
She got a quick shower, and by quick, I mean extremely quick. For her it felt like she was Sonic.
She dried off her body and threw her hair up into a towel bun, as she walked over to her wardrobe where she'd specifically marked off where the clothes she would be wearing were.
Fitting with the Sonic theme that had seemed to form, she picked out a flowy, baby blue dress with spagetti straps.
It was a warm winters day. Yep. It was winter, but she really liked how she looked in that dress and would sacrifice being warm to wear it. It wasn't necessarily cold either.
She put on a pair of black leggings underneath, as it looked okay and kept her legs warm. The thought of being cold isn't what bothered her though, as they would be inside the whole time.
Once she was dressed, she let her hair down out of the towel, but she still kept the towel draped over her shoulders so her clothes wouldn't get wet.
She pulled out her hair dryer and plugged it in, starting it as she waved it around her head.
She didn't really know how to use it properly, as she always just let her hair air dry. But because of how long her hair was, that took a long time, so she just decided to try and use that weird contraption.
After waving it around her head for awhile, she gave up. Her hair wasn't completely dry, but it was bearable, and it would be dry by the time she arrived at Link's anyway. Plus, her arms both got really tired.
She removed the towel from her shoulders now that her hair was mostly dry, and let her hair just hang. She picked up a few strands at the front and pinned them back to see how it would look.
After a while of fidgeting with her hair and bobby pins, she just decided to leave it down, parted how it normally were.
But then would he think that I haven't made an effort because my hair will be completely normal? I don't want him to think that. It's not like I looked my best last time, but it's never too late to make a new first impression. Hopefully his parents will see me like this. She thought. She felt as though she was dressing for a wedding or some other kind of formal event.
"Zelda, are you ready to go?" Her mother shouted up the stairs.
"Yeah, two seconds" Zelda replied. She took a few deep breaths in the mirror and grabbed her backpack, which was mostly empty. All it had in it was notes from English.
She jogged down the stairs at a fast pace as her heart was pounding faster than she was moving.
"Is that what you're wearing? Won't you be cold?" Her mother asked, who was stood at the bottom of the stairs waiting.
"I'm sure I'll be alright. It's been rather warm as of recently" She replied, putting her shoes on.
"Oh okay then"
Every single time that Zelda and her mother were together, it always turned into Zelda asking questions about Link, and her mother either answering very abruptly or not at all.
"Is it a mental condition?" She asked.
"Well, I'm a therapist. That one's rather self explanatory" Her mother replied.
"And I'm assuming that it has something to do with him not talking at school"
"Why do you think that? Has he told you himself?"
"Well no, but-"
"Then don't go assuming things, Zelda. If you're wrong then you could end up in a situation you'd rather not be in"
"Well I would know if I'm wrong if you'd just tell me" Zelda tried to bargain
"I'm not doing that. We're here" Her mother pulled up into the driveway at Link's house, bringing the car to a stop.
"Oh. Indeed we are"
"You know, if you just asked him, I'm sure he'd tell you something. He seems fine with you already"
"Okay. I'll see you later"
"So I'll pick you up the same time?" Her mother asked. She thought for a few seconds but came to a conclusion.
"Don't bother, actually" She replied, opening the car door and hopping out.
Her mother was in quite a bit of shock that she refused a ride home. Still though, she pulled out of the driveway as soon as Zelda closed the door.
Zelda took quite awhile to walk up to the brown front door, as she was wondering how to present herself. She straightened her back so she looked taller and more sophisticated. She straightened her dress straps and cleared her throat so that her voice would be okay. Finally, she closed her eyes and took one deep breath.
She slowly raised her hand towards the door as she made a fist.
It's okay! It's not like you haven't done this before.
Before she knocked, something caught her attention that was in the corner of her eye, at the front window that was next to the door.
The curtains were always closed when she were there, but today, that second, she saw something peeking through. She looked over to see Link.
He was obviously laughing as he saw Zelda's nervous reaction. However, he didn't stick around and he moved away from the curtain a couple seconds afterwards.
Zelda audibly grunted as she brought her face to her hand. She laughed at her own nerves as she realised how stupid she was being. She still knocked regardless.
