A/N:
Goodmorning, readers.
*
Forth takes one of the attending stamp and walks to Beam. Usually the second year are the one who give stamp to the first years' nametag, but this time, Forth wants to do it.
To Beam.
Ming stoned in his standing between wants to deliver Phana's wish to protect Beam and not sure that he could.
So he just stands in enough distance, just in case Forth will do something harmful to Beam.
Beam just stands in silence when Forth stands in front of him and takes the nametag without letting Beam takes it off first.
Forth share a gaze with Beam and then put the stamp.
Beam blinks. His gaze drops to Forth's thumb which is now caressing the new stamp that he just put in there, fifth day of SOTUS.
"You are a good junior."
To Beam's surprise, Forth says that.
Forth smiles to Beam and looks at him tenderly.
Beam is stunned. Forth looked extremely handsome and hot right now even Beam is not swinging this way.
"Crazy, that's for sure. But you'll make a great junior." Forth continues. "That if you are willing to know your seniors better."
Beam nods politely. He returns Forth's gaze.
"Especially your hazer." Forth adds.
Beam blinks.
"Your signature book won't be complete if you don't have their signature." Forth says softly.
Beam gulps.
This is five in the afternoon, the air is not supposed to be this hot.
"But well... you only need 40 signatures more. And getting it from others that us would be easier. So...." Forth put back the nametag to Beam's chest. "... you won't need us."
Forth and Beam look at each other.
"Goodluck." Forth continues as he closes the lid of the stamp. "... Nong Beam...."
THUMP.
Beam's heart missed a beat for that simple name call.
Forth smiles and then walks away.
Leaving a frozen Beam.
Suddenly Posh and Wai stand in front of Beam.
"Area you gay?" Wai asks.
Beam gasps. "No. Ew! What the fuck were you saying?!"
"Posh is gay, not cool for saying it's an EW." Wai adds.
"Okay. Sorry, Posh. I didn't mean it that way, both my best-friends are gay and they have boyfriends." Beam corrects.
Posh just nods.
"But you looked gay for P'Forth." Wai adds.
Beam's eyes widen and he smacks on Wai's head.
Posh smacks on Beam's hand instantly.
"Ouch!" Then he glares to Wai. "You said he is gay! You didn't say he is your boyfriend!"

Wai just grins.
Beam glares at Posh. "Your boyfriend is a devil inside!"
Posh just nods.
"So, are you gay for P'Forth? Because if you are, you need all the help you can get because, boy, your rivals are probably half of the first years, dude." Wai says.
"I am not gay! Ew!"
Posh and Wai smack on Beam's shoulder.
"I wish I can smack on your head for sayig that 'ew' again, P'Beam." Wai says. "But mother forbid me to smack on older person's head."

"Sawadee P'Forth, P'Park, P'Lam, P'Max, P'Tul...." Beam greets the hazers during lunch break.
Everyone turn to Beam and smiles.
"Mind if I have your signature, P's...?" Beam asks.
Forth looks at Beam from head to toe, thinking of the task he should give to Beam.
"What will you do to get our signature?" Park asks. He is not having any idea and wants to know what Beam thinks.
Lam tilts his head. He wants to know too.
Beam smiles to Park. "For you, P'Park, I will say that I didn't know P'Lam's phone number if anyone ask."
Park's face turns pale.
Lam frowns. He looks at Park. "What that's supposed to mean...?"
Park gulps.
"Otherwise... I'll answer P'Lam's question...."
"I'll give you my signature!" Park snatches Beam's signature book and hurriedly gives his signature.
"Add some advise too, P'... I respect you as one of my seniors." Beam says politely.
Park growls and writes, "Stop being an ass!"
Max bursts into laughter and claps his hands happily. "Give me your book! I am so giving you my signature just for what you just did! That was gold!!!"
Lam is still looking at Park confusedly. "What? I don't get it...."
Max is signing Beam's signature book while laughing and gives his advice. "Keep being crazy!"
Beam turns to Tul.
Tul looks at Beam. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
Beam smiles to Tul. "You really want me to say the hint?"
"What hint?" Tul asks.
Beam glances to Max.
Tul's eyes widen. "Give me your fucking-book!" and he signs it too, leaving advice. "Fuck you! Just, fuck you!!"
Park catches that half second glace. He is gasping wide. "No freaking-WAY!" He points at Tul.
"Don't push my button, Park." Tul hisses to warn him.
Park raised both hands immediately. "I won't be on your way."
Lam really confused right now. "What? Just like that? Beam has not even done anything."

Beam smiles. He looks at the three signatures.
He only needs two more to complete his 1000 signatures.
He looks at Lam. "P'Lam...."
"What?" Lam looks at Beam suspiciously.
"I don't think you'll like it say loudly, wont you mind I'm whispering it to you?" Beam asks.
Lam squints his eyes but he nods. He is still looking at Beam suspiciously.
Beam walks to Lam's side and leans down to whisper to him. "If you don't give me your signature, I will give my signature book to P'Park after this SOTUS finished. You know what's on my signature book? Phone numbers of every girl in the Engineering, includes the hot ones."
Lam's eyes widened. He looks at Beam.
Beam smirks and continues. "You know what he'll do with that many of phone numbers? He's not only gonna having girl every once a week, but he has supply for everyday for the whole fucking-years."
Lam gulps.
Beam put the signature book in the table just next to Lam's plate.
Lam blinks.
"Sign it P'Lam. I could do worse and you know that."
Lam takes the pen and signs it.
"Give me some advice, P'." Beam adds.
Lam writes, "Go to hell."
Beam smiles. "Thank you, P'Lam, you're the sweetest."
Forth is looking at Beam. He just got four signatures of his hazing team that easily? Moreover Lam, he is not that easy to be threatens, unless....
Beam pays attention to his friends, knowing their names without them introduces themselves because they not even likes Beam that time.
Now, Beam pays enough attention to his hazers, knowing their weakness.
Forth knows it too. It's quiet funny actually having four dense friends who are still trying to escape their feeling.
All of them are stupid, Forth knows that and he doesn't really do something to fix it. He prefers this ambience and not being the fifth wheel if finally the pair is sealed.
Actually, he doesn't care.
Beam straightens his back and takes the signature book from Lam. He then smiles at his Head Hazer.
He has nothing against Forth. So he asks. "What do I have to do for you giving me your signature, P'Forth?"
Forth is not sure what he wants Beam to do.
Beam is crazy. Asking him to yell anything embarrassing won't do much to him.
What to ask...?
But... Forth is pretty sure what Beam never does in his entire life.
"Have you ever date?" Forth suddenly asks.
Beam tilts his head. "No."
"Have you ever have feeling for someone?"
"No."
"So, you never say you love someone?"
"No."
Forth grins.
Beam looks at Forth suspiciously. "I won't say love to some random people just because you ask me to. That's cruel, what if she secretly loves me? I'll be in trouble."
Forth chuckles. "Say you love me."
Beam blinks. "I... what...?"
"... love me." Forth repeats.
"But I don't love you." Beam retorts.
"I know. I just want to hear you say it."
"Why?"
"Just because."
Beam squints his eyes. "I'm not gay, why would I love you?"
Forth laughs. "You don't. Of course. I know. Just do it. And do it like you mean it."
It would be easier to get the last 1000th signature from the other senior. But Beam want to get his Head Hazer's signature.
It would be cool! It's like having the bat from your favorite baseball player.
"You want me to yell it?" Beam asks.
"No. Just say it to me." Forth says.
"I'm so going to record this." Max who is sitting beside Forth takes his phone.
Forth smirks. He knows Beam wants his signature. And that was the thing that Beam won't do. Moreover saying like he means it.
Beam sighs. He is still standing beside the table. He turns to Lam. "P'Lam, make a space for me." He pushes Lam aside and then sits on Lam's previous spot. Across Forth.
Max is ready with his phone.
Beam looks at Forth and then slowly his expression changed slowly. It's getting softer and even Forth's team can swear they look at pink love sign coming out from his eyes.
Beam says softly, "I love you, P'Forth."
And then Beam closes it with a super sweet smile.
THUMP.
Forth's heart skips a beat.
Silence.
No one moves until Beam put the signature book in front of Forth, just beside his plate.
Forth blinks. He is waking himself from his daydreaming.
"Sign it, P'Forth. And give me your words." Beam says smirking. Forth's face was so funny while Beam said those words.
It was just words. It's not a big deal.
Park, Max, Lam and Tul burst into laughter.
"He got you, Forth!!!"
"Gyahahahaha!"
"Beam for the win!"
"That should win the best actor award!"
Forth chuckles. He takes the signature book and signs it as the 1000th signature on Beam's book. In the last page, beside his friends' signature with words for Beam,
"I love you too, Nong Beam."

Fragments of Glass
before the 1939-1945 War, most churches in England had stained glass windows, but despite local people's best efforts many of these windows were smashed in the bombing. What could be repaired was repaired, but in many churches all they could do was reassemble the remaining fragments randomly, with extra bits of clear glass added to eke them out to fill the windows. That is what I imagined for my collection of short stories: fragments of stained glass, bits of robe, bits of faces, all sorts of odds and ends randomly stuck together. And with quite a lot of clear fragments among the coloured ones. Just broken pieces of stories that anyone can look through.
