Ha ha. Savannah gave Alex a black eye. I don't care what the Hell he did, but nobody gives my crush a black eye.

Alex isn't here today. He must be at the hospital or something. Savannah is going to get a lot of hate when she comes back. Even though most people hate him, we do have some common sense. Well, some of us (not Savannah).

At lunch, I sit with my usual friends; Courtney, Emma, Megan, etc. We talk about Alex's black eye the whole time. Courtney and I both agree that Savannah took it too far. Megan never thought Savannah would punch somebody, and Emma just sat there, fascinated by her bracelets.

"Can you believe that girl Savannah did that? I mean, how crazier can you get?" Courtney asked, chuckling a little. We all nodded in agreement.

This was the hot topic for most of the ninth grade. It would all blow over by tomorrow, though. Something new would happen that would take everyone's mind off of stupid Savannah.

But when Alex comes back, it might start up again. People would be like, "Hey, aren't you the kid who got beat up by a girl?" I guess bullying does still kind of exist when you get to high school. Its not just sixth graders stealing your lunch money.

I hate when kids bully Alex, because he probably will start cutting himself again. I don't know if he still is, and I'm not going to ask. He'll think that I still like him, and we can't let that happen.

When I walked outside to go home, I was stopped by Megan. "Hey, did you hear that Savannah is moving to Connecticut?" She exclaimed. Megan was the only one who knew about my crush on Alex, so she knew I'd be happy.

"What? Really? But she just moved to Hadley from like... California! Why would she move already?" I asked.

"That fight with Alex. She doesn't even want to show her face in Hadley again. Her grandma apparently live there." How did Megan know all of this? Oh yeah, because she's Megan.

I tried so hard to hide my smile. I finally had no competition to get Alex! Well, it was still some time away, but now I'm even closer. This day couldn't get better.

Since it was almost Thanksgiving, our teachers made us write a small paper on what we're thankful for. I almost wrote that I'm thankful Savannah's leaving. But I didn't.
