《Welcome to the Pack (Wolf oneshot book)》Abused!Loner!Wolf x Overprotective!Loner!Wolf!Reader

You had always been a Loner since your puphood. It didn't bother you; you had been more than able to take care of yourself. Especially with one wolf by your side: an abused Loner named Dixon. Now, he wasn't abused by his parents, but by other Packs and even humans.
Now, you had found him being attacked one day like and Omega who had tried to have more than just his share. You actually thought he was an Omega until you saw their own not too far away. It made you feel a rage towards them, and you felt the need to protect the poor, defenseless Loner. Dixon had joined you and you've been living together ever since.
Today, you were out hunting for the both of you. His family was living with humans who were known as 'Breeders' in his terms when he and his siblings were born. He had practically been born and raised by those humans for the first year of his life, until they were forced to let the wolves off into the wild. Poor Dixon's family didn't survive, but he did by some miracle.
You perked your ears at hearing yelps and small sharp barks of pain, looking towards that area. 'Dixon? But I thought I told him to stay back at our territory...' you thought, slowly walking over towards the bushes. There, in the slightly open field, was Dixon, two humans on either side of him. They seemed to be yelling something at him, but you couldn't understand. One of them then kicked him roughly in the side, and your eyes widened.
He let out a sharp cry, to which they did again. "HEY!" You snapped, which to them probably sounded like a fierce snarl. They turned to you, their eyes widened as they stepped back. You quickly walked out of the bushes, stepping in front of Dixon as he stood himself up carefully. They said something else that you still didn't understand, doing this weird move. It seemed like they were trying to throw their bodies at you, but only made them seem like they flinched.

This made you lunge at the one to your right that stuck his leg out to kick at you, grabbing his ankle and sinking your teeth into his skin. There was a scream and blood gushing into your mouth, and you refused to let go. He only tried to pull himself back, causing your teeth to tear at the skin. "(Y-Y/N), please stop!" Dixon yelped behind you. You were a little reluctant, but let him go, seeing the deep fang marks where you had bitten him start to turn a shade of purple as blood kept gushing. Without anything else said, the two ran like their lives were on the line.
"I'm sorry, (Y/N)! I know you told me to stay back at home, but I got bored, and-" you cut him off by touching your nose to his, a wolf-like smile on your face. "It's okay, Dixon. I don't blame you. Are you okay, though?" You asked, and he nodded slowly. You nosed around his fur just to make sure, but he winced every time you touched his pelt. He seemed to try to hide it, not wanting to worry you. You only started to usher him back to the territory, so he could rest.
As soon as you two got back, you tried to make him lay down and rest. "(Y/N), seriously. I'm not a pup! I can take care of myself!" He whined. Just like a pup. You shook your head in disbelief. He was too stubborn. "Okay, just because you aren't dying, doesn't mean you don't need help. Also, you may not be a pup, but you sure sound like one right now!" That made him huff and start to lay down, circling before curling up against the dirt. He would survive without you taking care of him.

After he had fallen asleep, something made you go over and curl up next to him, your front paws and head laying against his chest. You would always protect him, no matter what. You don't know what you would do without him there.

But this revelation comes a bit too late. You see, Livia wasn't just anyone. She was not given the anonymity of being a background character, or even the blessing of being the heroine. Instead, she has bestowed the role of being the atrocious villainess. And that is exactly what she had been. As a result, Livia triggers her own death flag event at her debutante. A promise that pushes her through the darkest moments of her life and brings to light a newfound power rooted deep inside her.
