It has been solid two weeks after that incident. Everything seemed back to normal. Neil had been going to office as usual. But, he did not let avni go anywhere, ever for work until she had recovered completely.

Things had been normal. Everything was going smooth.

Mithali shifted somewhere, as she wanted to travel and find herself. Avni and neil were more than happy for her. She left a day back. But, not before meeting the angels of her life: Neil and Avni.

Even In these limited days, mithali spent quantitative time with avni. And, avni was a bit uncomfortable at the beginning. But, they had become excellent friends in such lesser time. Mithali chided herself for doing this lot of nasty things to such a fantastic human and always apologized whenever she had remembered. But, avni being avni, shook it off and told her not to apologize anymore.

Neil couldn't believe his eyes when he saw mithali crying when she was leaving them. He had to rub his, literally eyes from surprise, earning a smack from avni who was looking at him amused.

Mithali ran to them, practically and " I miss you so much avni. " she said and embraced her in a bear hug, making Neil's eyes widened in an utter shock.

" And here, i thought you would miss your friend " neil pouted at both the ladies.

" I miss you too, neil. But, i miss my avni more " Mithali winked and bid them goodbye.

About Karan, he was made to admit at a recovery center. After avni had to Knock him down unconscious, kaka led cops in and made them take Karan into custody by explaining the situation.

Cops had interrogated enough to be aware of his mental condition. They approached avni and neil and pondered it would be best if he gets treated. And hence- The recovery center.

But, through all the sessions, Karan wasn't alone. Avni and neil used to visit him whenever they would make it.

They didn't want to leave him alone, in this situation. No matter what he did.

As they say, forgive and forget.

Neil couldn't leave his best friend. After it's the two of them, they've got. And now, avni.

Karan responded a bit better. He started treating as his little sister. Avni couldn't be happier having a big brother in her life. She always craved for one and now, because of neil, that wish is fulfilled too. Neil ecstatic to visualise the two most important persons of life getting together,

At first, neil was furious and was in a state, where he wouldn't listen to anyone. He was in denial. He didn't want to do anything with Karan. He couldn't digest the fact that his own best friend would do something grave.

But, every damn thing flew away when avni came to him, held his cheeks with her hand, slowly stroking it she said " Neil, everyone makes mistakes. Be it bad or good. If they are willing to change, let them give a chance, kay? Let us be the bigger person, neil. We never know what he had been dealing with."

" But, that doesn't give the justification of his actions, avni. What he did is terrible. Very bad, " neil said sadly.

" I agree, neil. But, if we'd forgive mithali, it is not fair for Karan. He is your childhood friend neil, and he needs you. Please. " avni said, making her puppy dogs eyes to which anyone can instantly agree.

" Okay. Last chance. And only for you " neil said cockily making avni grin.

She was about to leave the room. But, turned back, gaining the attention of neil and said: " Forgive and forget."

Neil sighed inwardly and smiled at his fate of having such amazing women by his side and said, " Yes, ma'am. Forgive and forget "

And, that's how everything sorted.

Later that night, avni was awake and pondering about something with a book and pen in her hand, with all seriousness when neil came wondering what is up to now.

" Avni, " he called out.

She just looked up, and " Shoo " shushed him.

Neil frowned and sat beside her on the bed and peeped on what she was scribbling. But, stopped when he earned a nudge on his rib making him wince.

" When did you become such violent, women," he said while rubbing his rib.

She flips him off and continues doing her work.

Neil sighed and relaxed by watching some stuff on his mobile, checking the mails, organizing the nest day and thought avni would be done by now.

" Avni yaar c'mon show me " he pouted.

Avni sighed and showed him the book she had scribbled.

" What is this? " neil asked confusedly.

" This, my dear husband is certain rules," she said grinning at her work.

Visualizing her this happy instantly made him smile. He just chuckled, pecked her head, and said: " Well, then what are you waiting for my wifey, go on."

"Rule-1: Every Relationship moldered with both sweet and sour moments. And, i cherish every moment i spend with you. But, coming to our sour moments, i don't want to stay away from you when we both fight. If we fight, let us sort it out and then sleep. No going to bed without sorting our fight. Okay? " she asked so cutely that neil wanted to hug her and never let her go.

As if she would leave him anytime sooner.

" Rule-2: No sleeping in different beds. We can fight all we want. But, no i can't stay away from you. Not anymore. Even if we had a massive fight and no one ready to give in, we would sleep here, " she pointed to their bed " together."

" Rule-3: If i catch you flirting or getting cozy with anyone, i would stop talking and even looking at you. I am giving a heads up before. Don't attack me like a maniac after that. Okay? " she asked earnestly.

Neil was dazed. But, managed to grin at her and says, " Yes, ma'am. I wouldn't even dare to look at anyone. Why would i even, when i have got an amazing woman like you near me? " he said, making her hide in his shoulder.

He just chuckled and pulled her closer.

" So what's all this, Mrs. Avni neil Khanna? "

" Oh, Safeguards, Mr. Neil Khanna. You want me to continue? " avni asked, looking at him.

He nodded in a yes and asked her to continue.

" Rule-4: If anyone of us is ever feeling down, we should never push another person. Do not push me neil. Talk to me. I may help you in your work, or make up your favorite dish to deviate your mind. When i loved you, i accepted all of you neil — even your cranky self. Never push me, okay? " she recited.

Neil looked at her adoringly and said, " Do you know how much i love you my wifey? " he said, teasing avni, playing with her hair.

" Okay, now shoo. Rule-5: Will you, uh, will you give me a hug daily? " she asked a bit uncertainly making neil roar in laughter.

Avni smacked neil and huffed in annoyance when he came near and pinched her cheeks " Oh, my love, you are so innocent. I would love to hug you, avni. If i can, i would keep you all to myself, never letting you go."

" Thanks. And, i thought only these you have something in your mind? " asked avni.

" Oh, yeah, What about having a vacation, once in a while? " immediately avni eyes lit up " It would be cool, right? " continued neil again.

" Okay, Rule-6: Vacation, once in a while. " scribbled neil.

" Anything else? " he asked, glancing at the women he fell in love with.

" Yeah, i have something " avni yelled, making him cringe " Oops. sorry " she grinned and grabbed the book and sate=rted scribbling something

" Rule-7: Let us share the ongoings of our day at least for five minutes. Okay? "

" That's brilliant love " chuckled neil.

" That's all i got, for now, " sighed avni.

" Let us do this; keep this book aside, and enter more rules if we got anything in mind. Okay, love? " he asked yawning.

Avni chuckled and kept the book aside, retiring to sleep.

It was good to have a peaceful sleep after so many days. Having him near her is enough. Listening to his heartbeat is making her relax, and she dozed off peacefully like a baby. But, not bf=efore looking at her love and saying, " I love you, neil, so much."

He grinned down at her and said, " I love you more, wifey, " he said and pecked her head.

They would fight, yell, scream at each other. But, will be able to find a back again.

And, It would always be for avni.
