《Dawn Of The Lilies》Flaming Rose

"Look I don't know who you think you are." Pouted the upset Trickster. "But I really needed that Flaming Rose!" The fairy jumped off his shoulder and transformed into her human form walking up to Taehyung and getting in his face. "Mind your business." She hissed. He looked from one to the other and let out a breathy giggle. "I still have it." He informed them, a look of shock taking over both their faces. One more comical than the other.
"Yea... I cannot absorb energy like that. He opened his collar revealing a necklace glowing red against his skin. The Trickster sauntered over to him, staring intently at the blazing piece of jewelry.
"How did you trap it there?" he asked amazed his hand reaching towards it. Taehyung swatted his hand away taking a step back.
"No touching, unless you have the proper charm you cannot hold the flaming rose's energy."
"Why did you get in the way." He asked raising an eyebrow. Taehyung frowned looking down at the cube in the trickster's hand gesturing towards it.
"That won't hold it's energy. A scientist like yourself should know that. You're Jimin right?"
The boy gasped. "How did you know my name?... Wait can you read minds. Please say no." Taehyung shook his head a boxy grinning forming on his face. "Your fairy."
The fairy blushed looking everywhere else but in his direction. Jimin shot a look at her then back at Taehyung. "How?"
"I could hear you two talking. Why do you think I ran off?"
Realization hit Jimin, he didn't realize he was talking loudly.
"I wasn't talking loud." Jimin thought aloud.
"You weren't?... Hmmm..." Taehyung smiled. Truth was Taehyung had superb hearing, he could hear Jimin breathing, and only figured out his name when they had jumped off the ledge to hide, and the only reason he jumped in front of the boy was because of his poor choice of energy trap. Jimin narrowed his eyes at him.

"What are you playing at?" Jimin was the trickster not this boy who stood in front of him dangling the one thing he needed in front of his face.
"Nothing really... What do you need the rose for?" he asked dangling the necklace between two fingers. Jimin stared at the glinting metal that burned red hot, except for where Taehyung held it. Where his fingers were the it was blue.
"I thought you heard my conversation." Jimin smirked.
"I did... However, you didn't say what kind of elixir."
"Ah... it's for strength. According to my studies, if I mix it with a few other ingredients it will enhance ones muscles and agility." Taehyung perked up at that. He needed to have more strength to keep up with Jungkook. Maybe he could strike a deal with this boy.
"Oh... Could I be a test subject?" his voice just a little higher than a whisper. The fairy tilted her head curious at what he just asked, and Jimin's eyes practically bugged out his head.
"why would you want to? You don't know me... I could be using it to make a poison which could kill..." He cut himself off his hands clasped tight over his mouth. Taehyung rubbed his chin thinking.
"You went to great lengths to get it. Why would you use it for a poison?"
Jimin's eyes fell to Taehyung's bare feet. He was disappointed in himself; no one ever questioned his actions. His own father didn't even look at him. Jimin had tried to piss him off to get the rose from him. But apparently his dad never acquired that ability. So... Jimin failed. Leaving him standing in front of this boy staring hopelessly at his beautifully tanned feet.
"Well... I wouldn't. I said it so I wouldn't have to run tests on you. The elixir is intended for me anyway. I want to be the one to take on the Dawn of the Lilies."

"You need more than an elixir to survive the trials it entails Jimin." Taehyung patted the boys shoulder. Jimin heaved a great sigh and plopped down on the grass.
"yea..."
"I do want to help you though... So here." He smiled down at him holding out the necklace now encased with a blue hue.
"Thank you..." Jimin sighed taking the cool humming necklace in his hand before slipping it in the cube.
"Great, now we are friends." Taehyung giggled happily before he skipped away. Jimin watched dumbfounded as the happy boy skipped away. Addi landing on his knee tapping the cube curiously before saying, "He's cute, I like him... Can we keep him?"
Jimin laughed at her resting his chin on his fist, while rolling the cube containing the necklace in his hand.
"Maybe."

Horizon
Emiluna is about to turn 16 and gain access to her first two classes. Living in a small village in the middle of nowhere, she always wanted to become a Hunter. Having learned a bit under her parents, a miller and a seamstress, she was sure she could never pick a class that meant staying inside all day. But being a Hunter is more than just a class. It means providing meat for the village, culling small pests near the cultivated fields and most importantly guarding the village from predators and monsters. But Emiluna is not a normal girl and her destiny far bigger than she could have ever imagined.Join her as she finds out what awaits just behind the horizon.[Word from the author]I am looking to create a fantasy world that has some logic to it and stays believable even as characters gain power and progress in levels.Classes and level quantify the people's progress, but they do not artificially inflate their power to demi-god levels. I am primarily trying to write a captivating story, not "power-porn". That means it will be slower than the fast burning litRPG you might be used to, but it won't burn out that quickly either and I won't drop half of my plots at the wayside. I should mention that English is not my native language. I hope it is mostly unnoticeable, but sometimes I manage to slip some awkard sentence structure in there (German sometimes puts things together in reverse). It it also my first time writing an actual fantasy novel and the first time writing anything at length in English. Any constructive feedback is very welcome.Credit where credit is due: Cover picture by Paul Bica (Licensed under CC 2.0)Check out his amazing photos here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/dexxusYes, my cover picture is a photo, not a drawing. :D I might try my hand at some Paint-ification later to add the title.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

It is said that whoever would climb the top and awaken the goddess would get any wish they desire granted. With a newfound power, young adventure Silica Hale and her Fairy partner Jil must venture to the tower and awaken the sleeping goddess. --------------------- Authors Notes: Inspired by more or less the game Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Serendipity is a large epic drawing a lot on the classic JRPG formula. An epic that will see the heroes travel the entire world of Earthena to reach their goal, with the intention of building upon a rich and dynamic world of mystery and war.
