《Dawn Of The Lilies》Whispy's Bubble Tea

"So, you really don't feel anything?" Taehyung asked when they left the warehouse. Briggs shot a look at him that suggested he not push the issue. Taehyung just smiled and continued his questioning. "So, like really you don't feel anything? Nothing at all?"
Jungkook shook his head no, looking dead ahead at the stone path. Briggs wondered if it bothered him... but you'd never be able to tell. He never showed any change in his facial expression. Taehyung's face fell, like he heard the rumors of it. However, he didn't believe it. Now he just wanted to test and see if he could draw some type of emotion out. First once being irritated, he immediately started circling around the boy skipping. All he did was watch him, and on occasion look at Briggs who seemed extremely annoyed. Taehyung giggled moving to match his pace beside the two.
"Hey Briggs?" He wiggled his hands by his ears and stuck his tongue out. "Think I can make him laugh?"
Briggs shook his head and rolled his eyes. This kid was something else, had it been any other day he would have told him off. But, he didn't... he had saved him from the darkness that Wang had cast on him.
"Give it your best shot... You'll be disappointed though. I've never seen him laugh." He gestured towards Jungkook who was staring at them both. Taehyung repeated the hand wiggle by his ears, sticking out his tongue and crossing his eyes at Jungkook. He just stared at him, then looked back toward the walk.
"Wow..." Taehyung pouted. "That usually gets everyone..."
"I told you." Briggs reminded him. Taehyung just nodded and went into deep thought. "Is he always like this?" Jungkook asked. Briggs nodded turning towards a large Oak Tree with a bleached white door at its core. A tiny lantern hung from a low hanging branch, and a sign that read. 'Whispy's crisps and brews.'
"Ooo... I haven't been here in a minute." Taehyung clapped excitedly. The smell of midnight sun, and honey swirled around them. All three breathing in deeply, two sighed happily while the other just opened the door and walked in. Briggs was used to this though. Taehyung stood with his mouth wide open, until a bug flew in it making him cough and sputter. After his little fit, he looked around for the other two, realizing they left him outside alone he ran in and whined.
"Hey... I could have died!"

"You are fine... quit being dramatic." Briggs murmured taking a sip of his herbal tea. It was soothing easily relaxing him. Briggs watched the Fairy cooking in the kitchen. Her skin was a pale pink, and her braided hair was flipped over one shoulder. She wore a light blue dress, and a white apron to protect it, and bare feet. On her back rainbow-colored wings hung low and flickered every now and then. She was pretty her movements like that of a cool summer's breeze. Makes sense how she got her nickname. Jungkook followed Briggs gaze to the fairy behind the counter looking back shortly after.
Taehyung kicked his feet back and forth in the chair, every now and then knocking the side of Jungkook's chair. Thinking he would get a rise out of him... it didn't. It got a smack to the back of the head by Briggs though.
"Would you stop." He snapped at him. Taehyung shrugged taking a bite out a fresh blueberry muffin. The only one who didn't have food or something to drink was Jungkook, and that was because Whispy couldn't figure him out. She had stopped everything and stared at him hard. Her face turning a darker shade of pink as she focused. A little embarrassed she approached the table.
"Look the whole point of my nook is so you can sit here without having any interaction with the cook or the other fairies working. You are just meant to relax and eat, drink or what have you. So, stop blocking me and let me do my thing." She said in a whimsical tone.
"I'm not." Jungkook informed. She looked taken aback then she glared at Briggs her bright emerald green eyes blazing. He took pity on her going into detail about Jungkook and his ability. Her eyes then sparkled and when she looked at Jungkook she said in a singsong voice. "I'm going to make you my favorite with a bubble tea."
He nodded mechanically, "Thank you."
"Bubble Tea?" Taehyung chirped curiously. Whispy nodded as she spun around dancing back over the kitchen. He liked bubble tea so why did she give him this murky brown water?
"That's rude young man... How bout you drink it. You'll understand after."
Tensing slightly at the invasion of his thoughts he took the cup, smelled the liquid which made his nose scrunch. Then very cautiously took a sip. His body felt light and airy almost like a fluffy white cloud floating aimlessly through the blue sky. "mmm... you were right."

"I'm always right." Whispy giggled.
She placed the bubble tea and a very strange looking spongey white square in front of Jungkook. He thanked her again taking a bite of the square with out hesitation. As he chewed both Taehyung and the fairy watched him in anticipation. When he just swallowed and took another bite, they both sighed in disappointment.
"You couldn't even pretend to enjoy it?" Taehyung asked poking him on the cheek. Jungkook shifted his eyes towards the boy.
"I don't know how."
Taehyung pouted for what seemed like the umpteenth time. Briggs seemed unfazed by the way Jungkook acted, which made Taehyung decide to bother Briggs.
"You aren't bothered by this?"
Briggs shook his head drinking his tea.
Taehyung narrowed his eyes at him. "Why not?"
"You forget I train him every day. Unlike your once whenever you feel like it or get dragged to training."
"I don't see the point in training."
"He does as he's told. Regardless of his own opinion." Briggs seemed like he was trying to get a rise out of the young boy.
"I do what I'm told.... Just in my own way..."
"Complaining?" Jungkook interjected.
Both Briggs and Taehyung stared at him wide eyed.
"No... Not just complaining..." Taehyung sighed haughtily. Briggs laughed at the boy, Jungkook just stared at the table, Taehyung whined a little, but then they all fell into a comfortable silence while they drank their various teas and ate their curious foods.
Whhhiiiirrrrrlll.... Taehyungs wrist lit up a bright orange color. "Oh, yay it's Jimin!!" he squeaked jumping from the chair carefully placing a green crystal on the table then skipped out the door without saying anything to the other two. Briggs and Jungkook remained silent. Jungkook never talked much unless he wanted to ask about an emotion, or to placate others by answering their obscene questions.
After they paid, they left the little shop, and headed towards Jungkook's house. "Why did Taehyung run off like that?" Jungkook asked suddenly taking Briggs off guard. He looked at him searching his face for some hint of an emotion. Anger... Jealousy... Something. But there was nothing.
"Jimin is Taehyung's friend. He probably wanted to hang out with him."
Jungkook looked up at the sky and then straight ahead. "I have no friends." He concluded no trace of an emotion in tone. Briggs heart tugged, he felt sorry for the boy. Although apparently unfazed by any of his life experience it had to be lonely.
"I'm your friend."
"You're my trainer." He said flatly.
"I am also your friend."
"If you say so Briggs."
"I do..."
"Okay."
The rest of the walk to the tiny apartment near the woods was a silent one. When they arrived Jungkook walked in letting the door lay open. Briggs stepped in to see the beautiful woman who created such a unique boy.
"Oh... Hi James." She smiled up from her book. Jungkook didn't say a word to her and disappeared into his room. That was common for him though. She stopped questioning it years ago, if he came home unscathed, she was happy. She could always rely on James for the information Jungkook left unsaid.
"How was your day?" he asked sitting down next to her.
"It was good, I gathered herbs to sell at the Gala, and then reorganized the scrolls at the warehouse for Wang. He still doesn't remember us." He could hear the sadness in her tone. She closed her book and propped it up on the arm of the couch. "How bad is it?"
"He tried to attack a boy who was training with Jungkook today." He started.
"There was another boy training with him? I thought he trained alone." She seemed surprised and worried at the same time.
"Well... He does usually. Taehyung had fallen asleep after his training and insisted on staying and training more when he saw Jungkook. The boy's eyes lit up."
Ayla smiled. "Does he know of his ability?" this made James laugh before he responded. "Oh, yea he does..."
"why so funny?" she raised her brow frown lines forming around her full lips.
"Taehyung talked about Jungkook all during his training. Except for when I had him running." Seeing her face scrunch in concern he quickly added.
"The boy is very curious and does not know how to hold his tongue."
She let out a little laugh like music to his ears. "He sounds a lot like Leo" James smiled, "that's because he is his son." She laughed again at the new information. After a while they talked about anything and everything that was going on in the Burrow. How the Hollows were getting gradually darker with each passing day. A little about Jungkook, and a whole lot about a lost friend name Jackson.
