《Dawn Of The Lilies》Jazzy Can

These wings were hard to get used to... One day you don't have them and then the next you have them.
Then Master Jin throws you into flying lessons, he seemed a bit more disappointed everyday with me. I took longer than the others, three years was a long time to finally conquer the skill. Leaving the ground was just so scary... I mean I jumped from branch to branch on occasion in the Atrium, but at least I knew that if I fell from one, another would catch me.
You fly to high with these things and they decide to quit working because your thoughts wandered... Well, I don't even know. I'm only on my third ring, the first one took me about three minutes to master, and that was collecting pollen from the flowers.
Easy peasy.
The second ring took me about six months... that was because Addi kept messing with my elixirs. I had to make a new flavor for Whispy's shop, which was like a right of passage. I love Whispy she always had funny jokes, much like Master Jin. His didn't make sense sometimes though.
But, yea... she always added thistles which made my boom berry bubble tea taste like dirt. Which would make Whispy gag and I get another lesson from Master Jin. Addi would sit in the corner watching and laughing. She wasn't very nice; I think she felt jealous that Master Jin gave me more attention.
He probably wouldn't have if she had just let me master the second task. I mean honestly. Well, I made the new bubble tea for Whispy, and if you find yourself at Whispy's you should try it.
Now that I have finally mastered my third ring, I am able to fly about even though I prefer to walk. The other day I found myself playing hide and seek with Master Jin. He is such a good hider by the way for being such a tall human. Yea... Anyways, I was up on the windowsill when I saw this boy walk past, which made a weird twinkle sound come from my wings. Master Jin says that only happens when you find your person. Now, let me explain because I'm sure the author hasn't. Tee hee! Umm... To find your person does not mean love, but it can develop into that. Fairies don't attach themselves to other fairies, nor can they attach themselves to those of the darkness. Unless of course you were born in darkness. I wasn't... However, I have an ability because of my colorblindness, and Master Jin says it helps me to see the scary things in the dark. I don't like that... So, I try to stay out of dark places, squeezing my eyes shut whenever I get ready for sleep, and the lights fade out.

Ooo... it is so easy to get off topic. So, I found my person and I followed him everywhere except for when he ran into the Hollows. I couldn't muster the courage to go in that icky place after him.
However, I did end up in there because of Addi's person. He was stupid and hurt her feelings. I sat on the ground cradling her while she started to fade, trying to raise her spirits to make her happy again. Alas, Jazzy couldn't do that. Attention is important to us fairies we thrive on it.
So, when we are thrown aside or in her case flicked. Our hearts break we begin to fade. We don't die though... those born of the light fade into the darkness. Are we retrievable after?
We don't know...
I do know we are kin to the Shadow bunnies, and in theory they are us if we were born of darkness. They are super creepy though. Like don't let them get in your head.
So, to save Addi I disappeared into the hollows to find Jimin. When I found him, he was about to collapse from carrying the Angel boy from the darkness. The shadow bunnies were all around him reaching with their snake like ears to get deep in their minds. Jazzy is smart though. I used a fizzle bug to get them to back off. Don't tell Master Jin though... he says it's meant to disturb them. I just haven't figured out any other purpose for them, other than to make them fizz and then blow up with a bright light. It's really quite fun. Yea so I made them angry by poking them, and then I threw them deep in the brush so they would draw the scary bunnies to them. It worked, and I was able to get close to Jimin and lead him into the clearing. Yay Jazzy Can!! But, remember that thing about time in the Hollows? Yea it had been several days since they had entered. Addi had nearly faded out, so scary. Jimin was crying and begging for her to come back, that he was so sorry. He even told her how pretty she was. I think he actually loved her loved her. Which is a thing... We talked about this. I totally ship this, even though they are mean little tricksters.

Let's see okay yea... So, Angel boy saw that Jimin wasn't able to bring her back alone. He picked her up talking to her as well. Like a father to a child, a light coming from his hands made Addi vanish and then she was back brighter than ever!! So beautiful... Simply amazing his ability. Swoon... Oh and my person smashed a Halo into a wall. He's so strong and amazing... Ah... Wait... Where'd he go?
There... Over by the wall, his head was down as he walked along it. He didn't seem to want company, nor did he crave it. I hope that didn't mean he wouldn't like me. I decided to land on his shoulder, that was a mistake. Someone should have told me that! His grip was firm squeezing hard around my body making it hard for me to breath. So, when I tried to speak, I squeaked, "Hi..."
He let go, holding me carefully in his hand.
"Who are you?" This boy asked me.
"I'm Jazzy, and you are my person." I grinned up at him.
"My person?" His tone was always flat. It didn't rise in emotion at all. Such a strange boy. I like him.
"Yea... Fairies attach themselves to people. I chose you... "I booped his nose when I said this. You know that boy didn't even giggle.
"What does that mean?"
"Well if ever you call on me, I will appear, and I crave your attention. Oh! What's your name?"
"Jungkook. Can you pick someone else?" He asked me his tone still void of emotions. How does he do that?
"Actually... No."
"Oh." Was all he said turning his gaze towards the grass continuing his walk.
"Jungkook..."
"Yes?"
"You are infuriating." I said my blue cheeks turning a light purple. At this point it's a bit irritating that he shows no interest at all in being my person. Didn't he know that not all humans get fairies. Sometimes we attach to animals. Other light creatures, like the faun in the Hollows that Jimin had spoken to. He was of the light, even if it was a bit dull now you could still see it in him.
"Okay."
I stomped my foot on his hand and put my fists on my hips and squared up.
"Can you at least smile?"
"No..."
Well fine... I'm not giving up. Jazzy will get a smile out of him yet. I am that confident in my fairy abilities. Oh hey... Addi has to start all over with her training. She lost the skills and her attachment to Jimin. Apparently, a side effect of being reborn from the Angel's light.
