"yuna wake up!" someone shouted in the sleeping girl's ear

the girl shot out of her bed immediately, smacking her head with the person who shouted at her

"ow!" the two yelled, holding their heads in pain. she looked in front of her and saw sunghoon holding onto his forehead and jake standing beside him trying to hold in his laugh

once sunghoon didn't feel pain in his forehead anymore, he took his hand off of his forehead

"happy birthday!" they yelled, a smile on their faces

she gave them a glare, "thanks..now bye!" she covered herself with her comforter again only for sunghoon to grab it and toss it off of her, "just 5 minutes of sleep! that's it!" she whined, her eyes closed hoping to just fall asleep

"well get up. you have school today and 2nd, you have a party to attend too later today"

"can we push it back? i want to sleep" she complained trying to grab her comforter again

jake and sunghoon looked at each other before each of them grabbed onto her arms, pulling her out of bed but she only fell to floor. she groaned in pain, pushing the boys away, "ugh! fine i'll get ready. just get out"

the two boys smiled in victory before leaving her room.

the girl groaned as she got up from the floor and forced herself into her bathroom to get ready for the day

she brushed her teeth and her hair as well before walking back into her room and to her closet so she can get changed into her uniform.

after changing, she grabbed her bag, stuffing her homework and books into it before slinging her bag over her shoulder. she grabbed her phone and wallet and walked over to her door, opening it only to be met with sunghoon and jake waiting for her

"ready for today?" sunghoon asked, a grin on his face

"if you mean ready for the literature exam we have today then no" she spoke, tired and just wanting to sleep some more since she spent all night studying for the exam and was now running on 2 hours of sleep

"can we just ignore it? it's your birthday yuyu" sunghoon whined, holding onto her arm, "can you at least act excited?"

"fine" she gave in as she linked both of her arms with sunghoon and jake, "let's go!"

the two boys chuckled before walking out into the kitchen where yuna's mother and father were, "we'll be off now then" yuna announced to her parents

"have a good day at school yuna" her mother smiled looking at yuna and her friends, "and happy birthday as well"

"i'm sure you'll be happy with the birthday party sunghoon and jake planned for you" her father spoke afterwards

yuna tilted her head and looked at sunghoon, "jake helped?"

"i guess.." he muttered then gave in, "yah he helped decently with the party. still i did most of the work!"

"sure okay" jake spoke afterwards making yuna chuckle and sunghoon roll his eyes

"you guys should get going" her father spoke again and three nodded

"see you guys later!" yuna waved bye to her parents along with the two boys who bowed respectfully to her parents before leaving the house

"where's the party taking place anyways?" yuna asked

"that is a secret" sunghoon spoke, a grin on his face

"it's at riki's cafe isn't it?" yuna responded, already knowing it since it was obvious and easiest place to rent out for a party

"n-no..shut up" sunghoon stammered and looked away from her and she laughed in response

"just act surprise when you get there" jake whispered to her and she nodded in agreement

the three friends walked to school just talking to each other.

they had reached school and jake had unlinked his arm from yuna, "i'll see you guys later. i promised i'd meet up with soovin before class starts"

the two friends nodded, waving bye to the boy. jake patted yuna's head, "happy birthday yuna" she smiled as he walked away from the two

"did your feelings for him finally go away? your ears aren't red anymore" sunghoon asked, their arms still linked together and the two walked into the school

"hmm..i think?" she replied, "i think seeing him with soovin and me hanging out with heeseung is making me lose the feelings but i still care for him like a friend"

"that's good-" sunghoon cut himself off realizing that jake might have feelings for the girl so it might not be a good thing

"why'd you stop your sentence?" yuna looked at him weirdly

"o-oh! nothing..just thinking?" he gave her and excuse and though yuna was suspicious, she let it slide.

"if i failed that literature exam, i'm going to cry" yuna told sunghoon as she leaned against his desk in the classroom

"well-"

"bae yuna" the girl looked at the person who called her out which was another student in her class, "the teacher wants to see you in the office"

"oh. okay than you" yuna bowed her head slightly as the student walked away to their own desk

yuna looked at sunghoon confused, "..what'd i do??"

"how should i know?" sunghoon responded, gesturing his head towards the door, "go before you get in trouble"

yuna just nodded as she began walking out of the classroom and walked towards the office, "what did i do??"

she began thinking off the things she's done. she was a good student; well..she didn't get the best grades but she didn't get horrible grades. she followed the rules and was always nice to other students and teachers.

yuna walked into the office, greeting the other staffs and went over to where her teacher was sitting

"you..wanted to see me?" yuna awkwardly smiled

"yes, please take a seat" her teacher, ms. ahn, gestured her towards the seat besides her

yuna sat down, nervous and curious as to why the teacher needed her. yuna began fiddling with her fingers due to her nervousness

"so i've been noticing that your grade in math along with physics.." yuna bit her lip, anxious, "has been extremely great these past few months"

yuna let out a breath, feeling relieved, "how are you doing it?"

"oh" yuna began, "the 3rd year lee heeseung offered to tutor me since i told him i've been not doing well in certain subjects and he's been tutoring me for about 2..3 months as of now i believe"

"he's doing an excellent job at tutoring you. he is one of the top ranking students in 3rd year" her teacher responded, "if you keep this up, you might be placed in an advanced class either for next year or you might even be able to switch this year"

"wait really??" yuna asked excitedly. she defintely did not expect this

the teacher nodded, "now that we know you have the capabilities to get good grades, we want to test you and see how you do. if you want to transfer to an advanced class this year then we will give you the option to transfer, if you choose not too then that is okay also. if you do decide to transfer this year then, you will be given 6 weeks to adjust to the class and if you want you transfer out to your regular class?"

yuna nodded, taking in all the information, "what's the difference between the advanced and regular?"

"well advanced classes go at a much faster pace and learn college level material. at the end of the year there is an exam and if you score well then you can get credits for that class in college and have it wavered so you don't have to take it in college but of course it's your choice on whether or not you choose to take the exam" the teacher explained to her

"ahh..well..may i have time to think about it?" yuna asked and her teacher nodded

"of course. i know it was sudden so take your time"

yuna smiled as she stood up, bowing, "thank you ms. ahn" her teacher smiled as well as yuna then left the office and immediately as she got out of the office and close the door, she ran back to her classroom with a smile on her face

sunghoon was talking to jake, who walked over to his class during his free time, when they saw the girl rush into the classroom, "guys! guys!"

"girl calm down. what happened?" sunghoon told her, placing his hand on her shoulder

"i'll tell you later! where's heeseung??" she asked immediately

"uhh" sunghoon looked at jake, not knowing where the boy was and jake didn't know either, "we don't know..why do you need him?"

"i'll be right back!" the smile on her face never left as she turned around, dashing out of the classroom

"what the hell is wrong with her?" sunghoon spoke, "she's never this happy on her birthday"

"let's go follow her" jake suggested as he patted sunghoon's shoulder and sunghoon got up, the two jogging out of the classroom, hoping to find where yuna was going too

yuna basically ran across the whole school, trying to find the boy but she couldn't seem to find him

"what the hell. this school isn't that big" yuna spoke to herself as she rested her hands on her knees, taking a deep breath

yuna then ran off to the field hoping to find him or maybe some of his friends so she can ask them where heeseung is

sunghoon and jake were still following the girl, who was too fast for them and the two quickly were out of breath

yuna reached the field, looking around for the boy but she couldn't see him anywhere on the basketball court or on the bleachers, "where is he?" she muttered to herself

"yuna?" a boy spoke from behind her.

yuna jumped at the voice and turned around being met with the tall boy, "heeseung!"

"hey yu-"

the girl cut him off as she quickly wrapped her arms around his neck, hugging him tightly

heeseung stumbled back, catching back his balance and hugging her back but still confused of what was happening and why she was hugging him.

sunghoon and jake got there as soon as yuna had noticed heeseung. jake stopped in his place and put his arm in front of sunghoon to stop him from running.

"why'd you-" sunghoon stopped his sentence as he looked in front and saw yuna and heeseung hugging each other

yuna then pulled away with a huge smile on her face as heeseung just grinned, still lost, "w-what was that for?"

"because my grades improved, my teacher said i could moved to an advanced class either this year or next year!" she clapped her hands, super excited and she was just ecstatic in general

"really??" she nodded, "that's great yuna! i'm so proud of you! i knew you could do it!"

"of course! it's all because of you! if you didn't tutor me then i wouldn't have gotten my grades up! so thank you so much! i literally ran around the whole school to find you. i looked crazy"

"i'm glad i was able to help you" heeseung chuckled and he patted her head, "but why didn't you just text me?"

"i-" she stopped herself as she realized he had a point; why the hell didn't she just text him? , "well you see..i was panicking and i just wanted to find you and i really wasn't thinking so..yah..here we are now"

heeseung laughed as he cupped her cheeks in his hands, "you're so adorable yuna"

sunghoon looked at jake and saw him staring intensely at the two. he looked down and noticed his fists were clenched together as well

"hey hey" sunghoon patted his shoulder, "calm down"

the two couldn't hear what they were saying but they could see the actions of what was happening

yuna's ears were red from the compliment and smiled as she brought her hands up to his hands, placing them on his that were still on her cheeks, "heeseung"

he hmmed, still looking at the girl

"yes" she then spoke which made him raise an eyebrow, "i'll go on a date with you"

he widened his eyes at this since he didn't expect her to say that, "r-really?" she nodded.

the boy removed his hands from her face and wrapped his arms around her waist, hugging her tightly.

yuna laughed, hugging him back

"that literally just made my whole day" he whispered in her ear and she smiled hearing that

"what'd she say...?" sunghoon questioned, "i've never seen heeseung that happy or even yuna.."

"let's just go back before she catches us" jake sighed as he turned around, walking away

sunghoon looked at heeseung and yuna then at jake's walking away figure, "wasn't this a story about the boy falling in love with the girl's best friend not the other way around..the hell" sunghoon shook his head and quickly caught up with jake
