Upon seeing our reactions, Damien just gets up and says, "It would be easier to just show you."
He then proceeds to walk around the desk and leaves his office.
I share a glance with the other two before shrugging and following him out of the office.
As we walk through the hall, Damien says, "You have all seen how Rose is normally, but I doubt you have seen her when she is actually serious."
When Rose gets serious?
I vaguely remember how she acted during the dungeon.
Most of the time she was acting like a free spirit without a care in the world, but I do remember seeing her look pretty serious in some of our battles.
"I think I have seen her acting serious before. Or at least she looked serious," I mutter while trying to remember if she had ever said anything while serious.
Damien turns his head towards me and says, "But she wasn't in charge at the time."
"Hmm," I hum while furrowing my brows.
"You will understand what I mean when you see her," he says before looking forward again.
This will be interesting.
"What was that? You call that a shot? Fire again!" I hear Rose shout as Damien opens a door at the back of the building.
The instant I see the scene behind the door, I begin to wonder if it is actually Rose shouting.
Maybe I misheard?
The source of the shout is standing next to a bunch of archers lined up at an archery range.
Any possibility of me having misheard is instantly wiped away as the source of the shout turns towards the line of archers, showing us her face in the process.
Yep, that is definitely Rose.
I turn and notice Pallus' mouth wide open in shock.
Yeah, that reaction is understandable.
The row of archers all fire their arrows at once, and seven out of the ten hit the targets.

Only two of them were bullseyes though, the rest only hit the edges of the target.
Meanwhile, the remaining three fell a couple of meters short of the target.
The unfortunate few who fell short of the target suddenly gets slapped by Rose with a bow.
Kat winces at the sound made by the bow hitting their forearms.
Pallus eventually recovers from his shock and turns towards Damien to ask, "What happened to her? Did she hit her head or something?"
I unconsciously raise an eyebrow upon hearing his question.
I highly doubt that's the case.
Damien snorts out a laugh before saying, "Nope, this is just how she is when she is actually serious."
Interesting.
So, she isn't a complete airhead then.
Doesn't change her terrible luck though.
Rose glares at the three she hit before saying, "That wasn't any better than the last hit!"
She then approaches each of the three and adjusts their stance.
"Fire again; just you three this time," Rose says while looking at the targets.
The three who had missed earlier all fire again at the targets, only to miss again.
This time, however, their shot makes it a lot closer to the target than the last round of arrows had.
"Who would have thought that Rose was actually a pretty good instructor," I hear Kat mutter to herself.
I nod my head and say, "Yeah."
Rose opens her mouth to say something to the three again before seeming to finally notice us.
"Wait, how long have you guys been there?" Rose asks, her face immediately beginning to shift back to the face I am used to seeing on her.
This confuses the archers lined up before her who then glance towards us.
Rose looks back at the archers and turns stern again before saying, "Take a ten-minute break."
The archers all relax and split off into their own groups as Rose begins walking towards us.

As she reaches us, Pallus asks, "Who are you and what did you do with Rose?"
Rose blushes and says, "Oh come on, it's not that bad right?"
"Yes, it is that bad," Kat says with a serious look on her face.
Damien breaks out into laughter as he says, "It is rather bizarre to see how different you can be while serious."
Rose opens her mouth to speak again but is interrupted as a commotion can be heard in the entrance hall.
I look at Damien, only for him to shrug and begin walking over to check out what is going on.
The rest of us quickly follow after him.
"I can't believe one of them is actually here!" I hear the moment Damien opens the door to the entrance hall.
"Right? This will really help my cultivation!" Another voice says as we walk through the door to enter the entrance hall.
"What are they talking about?" Pallus asks.
A man in scout leathers answers his question with more than a little enthusiasm, "A Collector has just arrived at the Guild!"
A Collector? Really?
I glance at Pallus and we both nod before heading over to the source of the commotion.
A Collector is someone who travels the world and uses a special technique to trap elemental World Energy in little orbs that a cultivator can use to advance their cultivation by leaps and bounds.
Unfortunately, these orbs tend to cost a fortune due to how rare they are. The cheaper ones tend to be around 20,000 WC while the rarer ones can reach upwards of 70,000 WC.
I really hope that the Collector has an orb for the lightning element.
A group of people are gathered in the back of the entrance hall, so I am guessing that is where the Collector is.
As I approach the group of people, I hear them making offer after offer for various different types of elemental orbs.
Suddenly, a voice stands out from the others as someone shouts, "Before we begin, I would like to sell a special orb. This orb seems to contain the World Energy of an unknown element. Not a single one of the element experts I have met with has been able to identify it as of yet."
"Wait, an unidentified element?" "Why would I want an orb I can't use?" "Are you..." Everyone in the hall breaks out into a commotion as soon as the Collector announces this.
People can be heard asking nonstop questions for a few minutes before people begin making offers for the orb.
Why would they want it if they can't use it?
Suddenly, a voice shouts, "I am willing to pay 100,000 WC straight up for this orb!"
Silence reigns through the area as everyone looks at the owner of the voice; a man wearing a very expensive looking set of armor.
The people around him back up a little bit, finally letting me see the Collector.
The Collector is surprisingly wearing some pretty heavy armor. Definitely not what you would expect a type of merchant to be wearing.
"Does anyone have any better offers?" The Collector asks after a pause.
No one says anything.
The Collector turns to the rich looking man who made the offer and says, "Alright, it will be sold to you."
The rich man reaches into his pocket and pulls out a bag that is a few times larger than the pocket he had grabbed it from.
A storage space?
He then hands it over to the Collector and is handed a dark looking orb in return, of which the man quickly pockets before walking away.

You have learned many things from her, mostly without her knowing, since you have been helping more and more with her spell work the last few years and her potion making. So please pardon my two-dimensional characters or my shitty grammar or poor use of descriptive words in this fiction. Doing this purely for fun and it's going to stay that way. Let's take this step by step alright?
