《Dungeon from the Void》B3 | Chapter 36 - A Deal with the Vampires

Fenrir
I am interrupted from my work on the mini boss room right as I am about to finish as two more shady looking people in black cloaks enter my dungeon.
"Dawn," I say to her to get her attention.
Dawn answers me from the void beowolf's body on the sixth floor, "Yeah?"
"The shady person is back, and he brought a friend this time," I answer her as I watch the two shady people clear the first floor before stopping.
Dawn stops running through the taiga before saying, "Oh."
I feel her attention shift from me to the first room as one of the two people begins speaking, "Dungeon core, we would like to propose a deal."
A... deal?
With me?
I turn my attention to Dawn as a confused look spreads across her wolf form's face.
"Why would he want a deal with a Tier 1 dungeon core?" Dawn mutters out loud.
"What do you think I should say?" I ask Dawn, interrupting her thoughts.
She turns her attention to me and says, "Hear them out, then decide if the deal is good or not."
I turn my attention back to the two shady people right as the one that hasn't spoken yet brings out a void element orb.
Dawn gasps in surprise at seeing the orb before the first intruder continues speaking, "We will continue to bring you these orbs from time to time, and all you will have to do is agree to do us a favor in the future."
Wait, really?!
For the first time in my entire life, I telepathically speak to someone other than Dawn, Fenrir, or one of my own monsters. 'What favor would you have me do?'
The intruder looks surprised at hearing my voice before he returns to his previous demeanor and says, "All we would like for you to do, is to open a portal to the void for us once you are able to do so."

Dawn and I both turn to each other in surprise before I ask the intruder, 'And why would you like to go to the void?'
The intruder looks straight at where my core is and says, "For our own reasons. I will, however, tell you that what we will be doing in the void will not have any effect on you."
The other intruder looks a little confused but seems to understand that we are talking through telepathy.
I glance at Dawn only to see her looking at me with expectation.
In that case...
'I will accept this deal,' I tell the first intruder, causing him to noticeably relax.
I guess this deal is pretty important for them.
He then nods his head to his companion before they both lower their hoods.
For some reason, every time I have seen this person, I have been completely unable to identify him. Almost as if something has been blocking it.
Meanwhile, right as they take their hoods off, the thing blocking my identify skill suddenly vanishes, allowing me to finally identify the two intruders.
Name: Adalbern Everhart
Race: Vampire
EXP Level: ?
Cultivation Level: ?
Mana: ?/?
Name: Adelina Brose
Race: Vampire
EXP Level: ?
Cultivation Level: ?
Mana: ?/?
"They are both Vampires?" I mutter in confusion.
Wait a second, that second one is a girl?
Huh.
It was kind of hard to tell with that cloak on.
"Did you just say Vampires?" Dawn asks me out of curiosity.
I turn my attention to her and answer, "Yeah. They had something blocking my identification, but the moment they took their hoods off, that interference went away."
Dawn looks down in her wolf body in thought.
I turn my attention back to Adelbern as he suddenly takes something out of some sort of spatial item before placing it on the floor in the middle of my dungeon room.

Wasn't that called a parchment or something along those lines?
It isn't something the intruders tend to bring inside of a dungeon.
"This is a mana contract. It will punish whoever breaks the contract by draining their soul of a set amount of nourishment depending on the Tier of the one who broke the terms," Adelbern explains to me before saying, "It has already been signed by the Emperor of the Empire of Eternal Night, so now we just need you to add your name to it and insert a little bit of your mana into the contract for it to be complete. Go ahead and read it over as many times as you feel necessary."
"A mana contract?" I mutter in confusion.
Dawn looks up again and says, "It's exactly as he says it is. Although, to be clear, when he says nourishment, he basically means that it will make you drop down in CL."
That's harsh.
I turn my attention to the contract on the floor.
The Emperor of the Empire of Eternal Night, Tarek Night, shall provide one void element orb of medium to high quality to ___ every three months until ___ is strong enough to safely make a portal to the void, at which point ___ will open a safe portal at a designated time that works for both parties in a special room of ___'s dungeon accessible only to the residents of the Empire of Eternal Night decided upon by the Emperor to allow each of them to enter and exit the portal, without ___'s interference, until they either finish their task on the other side, or until one month from the portal's opening has passed. Whichever happens first.
Huh, that really is all they are asking for.
They either really need to get to the void, or they just view void element orbs as worthless.
Either way, it works for me.
I reread through the contract one more time before finding nothing wrong with it and having Dawn read through it as well.
"I don't see any loopholes, so it should be fine," Dawn says before focusing on the intruders again.
Well, with that being the case, I go ahead and place my name in the blanks before inserting a small amount of my mana into the contract.
The second my mana enters it, the contract glows a mixture of purple and black before splitting into two.
One of the two flies straight through the ground towards my core before entering it, while the other just flies off into the distance, likely towards wherever that Emperor of theirs is at right now.
Oddly enough, when I look into my core, I find the mixture of black and purple light just sitting inside of it next to my soul.
It doesn't appear to be doing anything, so I leave it be and turn my attention back towards the Vampires.
Both of them bow after the contract is signed before Adelbern says, "It was a pleasure speaking with you, dungeon core Fenrir."
They then both pull their hoods back over their heads and leave my dungeon after leaving behind the void element orb.
I guess he saw my name on the contract.
"I wonder what they might want in the void?" Dawn asks out of curiosity as she goes back to running around the sixth floor.
"I have no idea," I mutter before returning my attention to the mini boss room.
They can't hurt me just from going into the void, so I don't really care what they do in there.
Now, on to infusing mana into this little lycan halfling...
