《Dungeon from the Void》B3 | Chapter 48 - Quelling the Chaos

Leon
"World Ore?!" I shout at the same time as Luke before putting on my helmet and walking around my desk.
Ari quickly pulls her cloak over her head as Pallus reaches for the door and opens it, revealing Aidan on the other side with a slightly frantic look on his face.
I grimace as I see him before asking, "How bad is it out there?"
Aidan just returns my grimace and says, "It's pretty damn bad. Several other parties are trying to rush into the dungeon at the same time, creating chaos at the dungeon entrance. We need you to come quell the chaos if it's possible."
I grunt out of annoyance before turning to Ari and Luke, "Would you two mind waiting here until I finish dealing with the problem outside?"
Luke nods without his usual jokester attitude before glancing at Ari.
I turn back to Aidan with a nod before following him in a rush out of my manor.
As we get near the entrance to the dungeon, I begin to hear loud shouts coming from the small structure built to cover the entrance and control the flow of people.
"Let us in! We have diving passes!" "But we were here first!" "We are part of Lord Xurek's quota for the dungeon!"
That last shout in particular attracts quite a bit of negative attention from the Human parties in attendance. Meanwhile, I glance to the side to see the mixed party that was the origin of all of this as the Dwarf within the party clutches a faintly glowing, gray sword to his chest.
The dungeon really did give out a World Ore sword...
I steel my face before I cup my hands in front of my mouth and shout, "Everyone! Shut the hell up!"

My voice resonates through the area with the help of my mana – a technique I had learned from my father a long time ago – before everyone within the area falls silent and turns to me.
I look through the crowd for a second, noting several familiar faces before I continue, "The World Ore sword does NOT give ANY of you priority over the others! The queue for the dungeon is the same as it has always been, and nothing is going to change that! Do I make myself clear?!"
Several of the people gathered quietly nod their head and back down, but there are also several others that seem to have a problem with what I said.
One group in particular steps out of the crowd as their leader says, "Oh yeah? And why should we even bother listening to you? All you do is get money off of our dungeoneering!"
I raise one eyebrow at the idiot as whispered voices begin to run throughout the area.
Maybe an example would work best in this scenario... It certainly worked well during the issue with the Orc's treatment, and this idiot won't be missed by anyone.
"I also run this entire city, and if you have a problem with that..." I begin before raising my hand and saying, "I call on my authority as the owner of these lands."
A familiar screen appears over every person's head in the area showcasing their name as the man in question begins to look nervous.
I simply stare at the man for a few seconds with one eyebrow raised in question before he clicks his tongue and backs down, bringing his party with him.
Right as I am about to lower my hand again, I notice a party attempting to sneak into the dungeon during the commotion.

Are you kidding me?
I sigh before declaring, "For the period of two years, the mercenaries Jason, Arnold, Lisbeth, Amelia Crow, Wilhelm, and Bill are all banished from the Lost Mountains,"
My declaration comes as a surprise to several of the nearby mercenaries all while the ones that had noticed the parties' actions lightly shake their head at their stupidity. Meanwhile, the screens above the particular mercenaries' names all turn a glaring red before they are all suddenly teleported away from my mountains with nothing more than a brief shout.
A brief commotion rises from the sight of the mercenaries begin kicked out before it calms down again as I lower my hand and shout, "Take them as an example. I will not tolerate rulebreakers within my city! If you break my rules, then you have no business in Wolfdenn. Do you understand me?"
A wave of nodding heads follows my words before I nod my head to the Orcs guarding the small gate in front of the dungeon entrance.
The Orcs nod back with appreciation before I turn around to begin making my way towards my office to find Ari and Luke and continue our conversation.
As I walk, I shake my head at the stupidity of some of these mercenaries.
Although it's possible that they just haven't seen what I can do in my territory. Or they just thought that they would be able to sneak past without anyone noticing.
Either way, I hope this stops any future events like this from happening.
Fenrir
"And that does it," I mutter as I finish changing the reward for the memorial area from a World Ore sword to just a very small piece of World Ore. Not even enough to make a fifth of a blade.
I glance at my dungeon entrance as I hear the commotion going on outside finally calm down.
All of that shouting just for a single sword... I wasn't expecting their reaction to be loud enough to get through my dungeon entrance door for me to hear, but almost as soon as the intruders left with the sword, a loud commotion began outside the doors.
Although I couldn't make out most of what they were saying after they closed my entrance doors.
"Although I wonder what they will think after they find the same monster dropping a different reward..." I mutter with amusement before hearing Dawn giggle from my core room.
I focus my attention on her for a second to find her in the body of the sixth floor's mini boss, just playing around in the mini boss room.
Well, she seems to be having fun.
"I am going to go cultivate for what might be a long time, so would you mind interrupting me whenever anything interesting happens?" I ask Dawn before beginning to cultivate after seeing her nod her head in agreement.
I will probably be EL 8 by the time I leave my cultivation, and I still have some of the last orb left that I haven't finished using yet.
Maybe I will be able to reach CL 6 by the time I finish this round of cultivation...

System Only Gives Me Useless Gifts
Li Yun grew up with a system that gave him useless gifts. He wanted a reward that could prove the existence of the system, but ended up with abstract gifts like culture. Without physical proof, he was stuck wondering whether his mind was truly sane, all the while dealing with the reality of life. How will the "useless" system help Li Yun navigate medical school, hospital politics, criminal cases, treasure hunting, farming and cooking? Author's Note: This is a slice-of-life novel about a doctor with a mission-type system. It's written as a faux modern Chinese novel, so there are many 1-off characters and episodic mini arcs. Just a bit of warning, the tone of the story is very different after the childhood arc and jumpy as it chronicles Li Yun's life. I'm trying to make it less apparent in the rewrite, but there are still a lot of time skips. RR is the rewrite version, no set schedule. See webnovel for OG. scribblehub is a combo of both . I recommend scribblehub since it has pictures. Copyrights of the novel and cover are owned by Chocomug. Novel is free to read and download for personal use, such as offline reading, only.
