CHAPTER 92. Moro, the War Asura!
*****
Soon, both of us left the seminar room with Moro. I made sure to remove memories of everything that had happened in the seminar room from the students, their professor, and the security guards.
After that, I took my grandfather to the deep underground secret base, where he was surrounded by advanced medical equipment and a few Quantum A.I robots to take care of him at all times.
Following that, I sent Kay away under the pretense of taking a look at the new S.E.E.D technology products so that he would get a clear understanding of what they are and how they work.
I did that so Kay would leave Moro alone for a while. With Kay personally experiencing Moro's life, he had become over protective of Moro and treated him like a younger brother.
However, the way I planned to wake Moro from coma would be rather painful. If Kay knew about it, he would never let me do it so I sent him away.
Soon, I entered Moro's hate filled Spirit Space. From there, I went in deeper to find his inner consciousness that was suppressed by the immense hatred.
I isolated the hatred and his consciousness so that I could have a proper conversation with Moro.
His inner consciousness didn't resemble his 22-year old self but that of his younger self, when he was 14 years-old.
"Well, I guess, I don't have to introduce myself since Kay already did that an hour ago. So, I will get straight to the point.
My brother wants me to cure your paralysis and wake you up from the coma state you are in. I am presenting you with two options, you could either choose to get a miracle medicine that could cure you and become a normal person again or you could choose to gain power that could crush those that killed your family. Of course the second option comes with a pric….."
Before I could complete what I was about to say, Moro already touched the Minor Origin Sigil that was hovering in front of his inner consciousness.
Since Kay has personally seen the events Moro experienced, he wanted Moro to live a normal life. But he underestimated Moro's immense thirst for revenge.
Because of that, I already knew what Moro would choose even before I presented him with those two options.
Soon, I brought my consciousness out of his Spirit Space and entered my own.
Then, I watched as my Innate Talent sent a pillar of Origin Energy beyond the boundaries of my Spirit Space.

I eagerly waited to find what his bloodline would be.
According to MJ, bloodlines were remnants from the Prehistoric Era and there were only 10,000 of them recorded throughout the Universe.
Similar to Innate Talents, bloodlines also choose their own hosts based on their affinity with them.
But that doesn't mean that everyone could possess a bloodline.
Only those that meet the specific criteria of a bloodline will be chosen by one of those 10,000 bloodlines, irrespective of one's Innate Talent grade.
Even though bloodline doesn't improve one's comprehension over their respective mastery, the benefits provided by a bloodline would exponentially raise one's battle prowess.
It was commonly known that other than those with Grade-10 Innate Talents, no one could defeat those that awakened a bloodline within the same tier.
Just from that, one could tell how strong a bloodline was.
While I was thinking about bloodlines, the pillar of Origin Energy pulled Moro's Innate Talent into my own Spirit Space.
It was a Grade-5 Innate Talent with a crimson river that roamed around his Innate Talent.
With the Minor Origin Sigil, Moro's innate talent's grade didn't matter to me.
Soon, his Innate Talent evolved from Grade-5 to Grade-9 and chains of Origin Energy encased his Innate Talent.
After that, I exited my Spirit Space and was greeted with two notifications.
[You have gained absolute control over Grade-9 Innate Talent, ].
[You have gained absolute control over .]
I turned to look at MJ, waiting for him to explain what Moro's bloodline does.
After that, MJ told me everything he knew about Moro's bloodline. I was surprised to learn that even among the 10,000 bloodlines, the War Asura Bloodline was in the top 100.
MJ believes that the immense hatred Moro had was the reason why War Asura Bloodline chose him.
This was because War Asuras have always been someone that had hatred towards anything and everything.
Their existence itself was meant for war and everywhere they go, only blood and carnage remain.
That was why War Asuras were feared throughout the System assimilated Universe.
While I was in my thoughts, Moro started shaking in his wheelchair as his skin all over his body began to shred apart.
MJ exclaimed, "Master! He is going through Bloodline Metamorphosis!"
Upon hearing that, I couldn't help but be taken aback. This was because one can only experience Bloodline Metamorphosis when they awaken their bloodline.
Once someone was chosen by a bloodline, it would typically take a considerable amount of time before they could awaken it.
However, Moro had managed to awaken his bloodline as soon as he gained it.

Soon, all of the skin on his body was torn apart and his blood formed a cocoon around him.
Whenever I give someone a Minor Origin Sigil, the Undistributed Looted Stats that were worth 25% of my overall stats will be automatically added depending on the speed at which they could adjust to those stats.
So, when I made Moro a Minor Sigil Holder, he was allotted 208 Undistributed Looted Stats. But, what surprised me was that it took him less than half an hour to use up all those Undistributed Looted Stats.
That meant that the rate at which Moro's body adjusted to the improved stats was exceptionally high.
Soon, the blood cocoon withered and Moro's appearance and physique had taken a complete reversal.
His thin and frail body was replaced by muscles with a frame that was bulkier than mine.
Even his height had increased by half a foot to 6'2, two inches taller than me.
Moro's long black hair had turned crimson along with his pupils and the white in his eyes was replaced by pitch-black.
The Bloodline Metamorphosis had woken up from his coma state and the spinal injury that paralysed him was also healed entirely.
Once his gaze landed on me, he let out a loud roar and rushed towards me before attacking me with the intention to kill.
Since I know that his hatred was controlling his mind, I suppressed the Origin Energy chains that were about to take action against his Innate Talent in my Spirit Space, or else, they would have obliterated Moro's Soul, just for trying to attack me.
Instead of stopping Moro, I let him attack me as I continued to evade his attacks. I did that to see for myself the extent of the abilities provided by the War Asura Bloodline.
The most noticeable was the 'Battle Instinct', which was unique for War Asuras. It was said that in the Universe, there were no species that fought more battles than the War Asura race.
So, anyone who awakens the War Asura Bloodline would have the instincts of their War Asura predecessors that had experienced countless battles.
Although Moro had never learned any combat techniques, his fighting standards were in a league far above mine.
Whenever one attacked or defended or evaded, they had to think before acting. But in Moro's case, every move he makes was done out of pure instinct.
Mastering how to fight with instincts was the epitome one could reach in hand to hand combat.
Although Moro's overall stats would put him at Mid-Phase Tier-2, his combat prowess was enough to easily take down a High-Phase Tier-2 Monster.
Moreover, that was when I didn't even consider War Asura's off the charts regeneration power and the ability to use their own blood as a weapon.
Moro couldn't manipulate his Blood to such an extent yet because his was still at Stage-1. But now that his Innate Talent was of Grade-9, it wouldn't take him very long to improve his Mastery.
As long as reaches Stage-3, he could even go head-on against a Low-Phase Tier-3 monster.
Moro continued to attack me for 15 minutes but with the vast difference in our stats, he wasn't able to land even a single hit on me.
However, his aggressiveness didn't go down at all ever since he awakened the War Asura Bloodline.
According to MJ, once someone awakens a War Asura Bloodline, it would take them at least a few years to get a hold of their hatred. Until then, they would go on a rampage killing any living being they come across.
So, after knocking out Moro, I used the Minor Origin Sigil in his Spirit Space to seal all of his hatred.
If I hadn't found Moro before the System assimilation, he would have become a mass murderer after awakening the War Asura Bloodline.
Now that I sealed his hatred, I don't have to worry about Moro going on a rampage anymore.
Nonetheless, I couldn't help but think highly of the perks provided by War Asura Bloodline. So, I didn't wait any longer and tried to merge with it.
I didn't care if my race changed from human to something else. On top of that, since I had absolute control over War Asura Bloodline, I am positive that I could control my hatred and not go berserk like Moro.
[Warning! If you merge with War Asura Bloodline, your race will change to that of War Asura. Do you wish to proceed?]
Right when I was about to accept it, the usually silent let out a series of ominous hums that reverberated in my Spirit Space almost as if it was looking down on the War Asura Bloodline.
[Your Innate Talent rejected merging with War Asura Bloodline. You can't undergo bloodline metamorphosis.]
The contents of the recent notification made me want to cry.
I couldn't believe that my innate talent 'bloodline-blocked' me. That too for such a useful bloodline.
If was a person, I would have definitely picked a fight with it.

Of Men and Dragons, Book 1
Book 1 is now available on Kindle, or in paperback/hardcover! You can buy it here! Jack crash-landed on a planet where the natives are seven-foot-tall carnivorous cat-lizards currently somewhere between stone and bronze age. The good news is the natives think the ship that crashed into their mountain is a dragon and are steering clear of it. The bad news is they just left one of their own as a sacrifice to appease the beast. No matter what Jack and his AI co-pilot decide, his life just got a lot more complicated... ATTENTION: This is soft sci-fi rather than hard sci-fi, hence why I chose that tag. For those of you unfamiliar with the distinction, here's what Wikipedia had to say. 1. It explores the "soft" sciences, and especially the social sciences (for example, anthropology, sociology, or psychology), rather than engineering or the "hard" sciences (for example, physics, astronomy, or chemistry). 2. It is not scientifically accurate or plausible; the opposite of hard science fiction. Soft science fiction of either type is often more concerned with character and speculative societies, rather than speculative science or engineering. The term first appeared in the late 1970s and is attributed to Australian literary scholar Peter Nicholls.
