CHAPTER 98. Breaking Barriers

I was teleported into the Earth's Foothold in the Trial World that I established within a dome.

Just like Dante and me, other Alpha Chosen also appeared in the 'Earth's foothold'. Right then, an announcement appeared in the form of a gigantic notification in the sky.

Alpha Chosen from other life planets would have been in a full alert after this announcement. However, on the contrary, Earth's Alpha Chosen were carefree, ignoring it completely since they were safe in a High-Phase Tier-3 monster dome.

Upon noticing me, some of them greeted me; cheerful ones like Kasim and Andrea waved at me, whereas the prideful ones like Olivia and Brandon nodded at me before rushing to cultivation grounds and other facility centres that could help improve their overall combat power.

It seemed that my plan to motivate them using Spiritual Fruits and Spirit Crystals as rewards worked better than my expectations.

Like the ranking process in the Hyper Gravity chamber, there were many more facility centres that could improve different aspects of their overall combat strength.

By reaching certain standards that I set for them in each of those training centres, they could obtain resources from me; the higher the reach, the more resources they would receive.

Using those Spirit Crystals could fill up their Spirit Energy much faster so that they could train for longer periods.

Whereas the Spiritual fruits, especially Grade-3 ones, were even more precious as they could increase their attribute stats, and if they wanted, they could even give those spiritual fruits to their family members or close ones to improve their health and lifespan.

With me monopolising almost all Grade-3 Spiritual fruits in Earth's Trial Zone, I have thousands of Spiritual fruits in all five categories, i.e., Strength fruits, Agility Fruits, Vitality fruits, Stamina Fruits & Spirit fruits. So, using a small amount of those to reward the other Earth's Alpha Chosen doesn't affect me.

Moreover, now that I am about to enter other trial zones, I could obtain many more resources than what I obtained from Earth's trial zone.

In just a few seconds, all that was left standing out in the open were Dante and me. He reluctantly looked at others as they left off to train themselves.

Dante was worried that he would fall behind others. Nevertheless, he didn't complain.

After that, I exited the dome, along with Dante. Once we were out, he used the Fate Points to predict the direction in which the Arch Spirit Fruit was located.

From what he said, 10 Fate points were expended, and a translucent arrow appeared in front of him, pointing in Arch Spirit Fruit's general direction.

Just like the Fate Halos that only Dante could see, that arrow was also only visible to him.

I didn't dilly dally and got on to Storm Eagle MJ along with Dante and flew off in the direction he mentioned.

Dante couldn't help but gasp at the Storm Eagle, MJ's speed that moved at 150 meters per second.

In just a few minutes, we crossed several kilometres and soon reached a translucent barrier. It seemed like there wasn't any barrier from far away, but only when we got close did we notice it.

The barrier extended in a straight line. Unlike the dome, which was circular, the trial zone barrier was like a square, and the barrier in front of me was a side of a square.

Soon, Storm Eagle MJ landed beside the system barrier, and I placed my hand on it as I tried to create a hole using the Lv.30 .

Since the reached the peak of Stage-3, my control over those barriers improved, and because of that, I was pretty confident in entering other trial zones.

However, no matter how hard I tried to make a hole in the barrier, it didn't budge at all.

Only then I learned that the trial zone barriers were a few times stronger than the dome barriers and that it needs at least Stage-4 to open it.

The new revelation stumped me. At the same time, Dante was expectantly waiting to see how other trial zones would look like.

I asked Dante if the fate arrow was still pointing in the same direction as the barrier.

After he confirmed that, an idea hit me, making me think that if the system barrier didn't restrict his Fate ability, then my Origin Energy, which is even more powerful than Fate, shouldn't be affected by the barrier.

To test it out, I activated mode before telling Dante to go more than 10 meters away from me since the steam that was created from my sudden body expansion was too hot, and if he were close, that would burn his skin.

Once again, I went through a lot of pain from entering mode.

However, this time the pain was considerably lower since my overall stats in is 830, whereas the overall stats in was 1000, and the difference was not too much.

The higher the difference between them, the higher the amount of pain I experience.

Once my height reached 10 meters, the pain gradually receded, and with a swing of my arm, a wave of air blew, dispersing the steam around me.

After that, I enveloped my right hand with bolts of Origin Energy and slowly brought it close to the barrier.

Just when my hand was about to come into contact with the barrier, it melted away like a plastic cover that was brought closer to a flame.

However, the hole that was created in the barrier was only enough to fit my hand in it, and once I retracted my hand that was covered with Origin Energy, the system barrier quickly recovered itself in the next second.

I once again brought my hand close to the barrier and the same process repeated, and when I tried to move within the layer of the barrier, it began to disperse in the pathway of my hand movements, but it soon repaired itself.

I was pleasantly surprised and thought to myself, 'No wonder the Origin Energy is the true origin of all energies. It never disappoints me.'

If I want to cross the barrier, I just have to envelop myself completely in Origin Energy, but then, only I would be able to pass, and not Dante. I need him to show me the way to the Arch spirit fruit.

With that in mind, I readied myself to test out something as I curled back my hand and clenched my palm into a fist as more of the Origin Energy flowed through my hair and concentrated around me causing loud whistling sounds.

Following that, I landed a punch on the barrier with my full strength. If it was just pure strength, there wouldn't have been any change in the barrier, but with the assistance of Origin Energy, it was an entirely different thing.

With the speed I punched, there wasn't enough time for the barrier to disperse, and the volatile Origin Energy landed upon it, creating an explosive sound, and the barrier broke into thin shards within a diameter of 500 meters.

It looked like a half-circled entrance in the barrier, connecting Earth's trial zone and the one adjacent to it.

Soon, the barrier started to repair itself, but since such a huge portion was obliterated, it would take a few minutes for it to return to normal.

After signalling Dante to follow me, I passed through the barrier hole, and Storm Eagle MJ followed as well.

Once I crossed the half a meter thick barrier, I could sense the sudden changes in gravity, temperature, and atmosphere, even when the surroundings were identical to Earth's trial zone with huge trees and grassy lands.

Then, I heard MJ's voice in my mind, "Master, this trial zone gravity is 1.74 times that on Earth and the temperature is 62 degrees celsius (144 Fahrenheit). Whereas, the oxygen content in the air was just 7%, which was three times lower than oxygen in Earth's atmosphere."

Due to often training in the Hypergravity chamber, the change in gravity felt almost negligible to me. As for the temperature, even though it was high, it only felt a little warmer with 200 stats each in Endurance and vitality attributes.

The only problem was the percentage of oxygen in the atmosphere. Even though my body could handle it, I couldn't say the same for Dante.

So, just as he passed through the hole in the barrier, I manipulated air and concentrated more oxygen around him. With loads of air enveloping him, it also eased the effect of temperature on him.

Right then, I heard several loud growls and roars in the distance, approaching in our direction. It wasn't just from the new trial zone but also from the Earth's trial zone.

The loud sound that was caused by breaking the barrier seemed to attract them.

"Jay, there are hundreds, No!..... nearly a thousand monsters are approaching us from this new trial zone. Most of them were Tier-1 & Tier-2 ones, but there were eight Low-Phase Tier-3 monsters. From the Earth's trial zone, seven Low-Phase Tier-3 monsters were approaching. At this rate, we will be surrounded. Should we fly off on Storm Eagle MJ? " Dante blurted as he could sense all the fate halos within his 10 km radius.

Even though he witnessed how strong I was when I killed the Tier-3 Ogre in front at the 'Gathering', Dante was worried since our spirit energy is limited, and it was nowhere enough to deal with the horde of monsters nearing us.

I shook my head and asked Dante as I morphed back my to full body armour, "You never saw me fighting in this form, right?"

Dante was puzzled when he heard me, "N...No. But, still we are talking about a thousand monsters, isn't it….."

Before Dante could say any further, I cut him off as I continued my previous sentence, "Because, If you did, you wouldn't have found it necessary for us to escape."
