CHAPTER 108: Zephyr Galactic Cluster.
*****
While Day-7 was ongoing, the assimilated part of the Universe was filled with unrest. Especially the ten hegemonic powers of the Virgo SuperCluster.
A SuperCluster usually comprises 1000 Galactic Clusters, with each Galactic Cluster making up around 1000 Galaxies.
One by one, almost every Galactic Cluster in the Virgo SuperCluster went through System assimilation in the past thousand years, and now it was time for the only remaining Galactic Cluster in Virgo SuperCluster, the 'Zephyr Galactic Cluster' to go through System assimilation once it's Trial Program ends.
A new Galactic Cluster goes through the Trial Program throughout the Universe every two years before assimilating with the System.
Because of the System's 'UltraNet' that connects the System assimilated Universe, the flow of information reaches every corner of the Universe.
Within the UltraNet, System publishes a Live Performance Score every time a Trial Program takes place. It shows the System's evaluation of every individual Galaxy within the Galactic Cluster that was undergoing the Trial Program.
The factor that weighs the Live Performance Score of each Galaxy focuses on the Survival Rate of the Alpha Chosen, the overall number and the difficulty of the monsters they slew since the start of their Trial Program.
Usually, not many would pay attention to it as it is common knowledge that a new Galactic Cluster goes through the Trial Program every two years.
However, this time around, almost everyone's attention in the Universe was on the Live Performance Score of the 930 Galaxies within the Zephyr Galactic Cluster.
It was because out of the 100 points, none of those Galaxies had any lower than 75 points.
Even though it was just a few days since the new Trial Program began, it was pretty shocking for everyone in the System assimilated Universe since only less than 10,000 Galaxies in the entire Universe ever managed to do that, and most of those Galaxies ascended to become one of the powerful ones in the Universe.
But that wasn't even the most shocking part since a Galaxy named 'Milky Way Galaxy' stood out among the rest of the Galaxies in the Zephyr Galactic Cluster with a mind-numbing Live Performance Score of 93 points.
Even in the entire Universe, less than 50 Galaxies ever managed to accomplish such a feat, which only makes it even more terrifying since all those Galaxies eventually became the top powerhouses of the Universe.
When any Galaxy scores above 90, it usually means that either the average of Innate Talent Grades of the Alpha Chosen is relatively high, making them stronger or that the particular Galaxy has produced an Omega Chosen.
Everyone inclined towards the second option since there wasn't any recorded case where a Galaxy Trial Program's Live Performance Score could be above 90 with just having a higher average of Alpha Chosen's Innate Talent grades.
One could say that the rise of an Omega Chosen contributed the most to the unrest among the top powers throughout the Universe as they wanted to recruit that Omega Chosen into their ranks before anyone else. Because everyone knew that an Omega Chosen has the potential to reach Tier-10, the pinnacle of power in the Universe.
The ones that were even more worked up were the hegemonies of the Virgo SuperCluster, of which the Zephyr Galactic Cluster was a part of.
One such Hegemony was the 'Red Elven Empire', which holds control over one-tenth of the massive Virgo SuperCluster.

On a red planet that's the size of Jupiter, a vast city was bustling with people of various races. It was the imperial city of the 'Red Elven Empire'.
At the centre of that Imperial city was a majestic palace, the residence of the Red Elven Emperor. Within the royal courtroom of that palace were several advisors and other higher officials of the Empire.
They all were looking at the thousands of video projection screens, where each projection screen showed thousands of individuals from various races, who were the subjects of the 'Red Elven Empire'.
Almost everyone visible on the video projection screens had one thing in common; they were all at Tier-4 Low Phase.
These members were all from different planets and galaxies. After all, the Red Elven Empire had 50 Galactic Clusters under its authority, with each Galactic Cluster constituting nearly 1000 Galaxies.
From this, it could be seen how grand and powerful the 'Red Elven Empire' is.
The Royal race of this Empire were Red Elves, who stand out from typical Elves due to their pale red skin and green eyes. Besides that, their tall and slim physiques and pointy ears resemble a regular Elf Race.
The Red Elf race's speciality is that almost every member of their race either be chosen by Fire Innate Talent or Wood Innate Talent, sometimes even both of them.
Most of all, everyone's Innate Talent of this race ranges between Grade-4 and Grade-6.
Nearly 60 to 70% of the entire Universe population only possess Innate Talents between Grade-1 and Grade-3. So, Grade-4 to Grade-6 were considered pretty rare as they give out the potential to reach Sky Realm (Tier-4 to Tier-6).
Grade-7 and above are treated as scarce since barely anyone within the Virgo SuperCluster has a Grade-7 Innate Talent.
Even the Emperor of the Red Elven Empire, who was one of the powerful existences of the Virgo SuperCluster at the peak of Tier-6, only has Grade-6 Innate Talent.
Everyone who could be seen within the video projection screens was all nervously checking their own windows once in a while.
Similarly, everyone in the Royal Court and the Red Elven Emperor was anxiously waiting for something.
All of that was because the System only chooses members within a SuperCluster for the role of Tournament Managers in the Trial Programs.
Since Zephyr Galactic Cluster has 930 Galaxies and each Galaxy's Trial World has 1000 Trial Regions, 930,000 Regional Trial Tournaments will take place on Day-10 of the Trial Program.
That means a total of 930,000 System assimilated individuals were needed to act as a Tournament Manager for each Tournament taking place on Day-10 at the same time.
Whenever a Tournament was about to take place during a Trial Program, the System opens a 'Tournament Manager Quest', and for the 1st Tournament, only those who were at Tier-4 Low-Phase could apply for it.
The System randomly selects the required number of Tier-4 Low-Phase individuals from the millions of applicants all over the SuperCluster.
In this case, 930,000 were needed, and due to the Milky Way Galaxy producing an Omega Chosen, all the Hegemonies are competing by having millions of people from their own domains applying for the Tournament Manager Quest in the hopes of obtaining more information about the Alpha Chosen of the Milky Way Galaxy and to attract that Omega Chosen to their side.
If not for the System's restriction that only allows the Virgo SuperCluster's native life forms to apply for the Tournament Manager Quest of the Zephyr Galactic Cluster, the Hegemonies from all over the Universe would have competed as well.

While the Red Elven Emperor was walking to and fro, an advisor of the imperial court walked over and bowed to the Emperor before saying, "Your Majesty, the results were out. Out of the 930,000 Tournament Manager positions, a little more than 22,000 from our Empire were selected. Out of them, only 15 were selected as Tournament managers for the Milky Way Galaxy."
The Red Elven Emperor sighed, "Fortune doesn't seem to favour us. Sigh, only 15 made it to become Milky Way Galaxy's Tournament Managers. It's almost the same as the remaining 985 positions being taken by the other 9 factions. The chances of one of these 15 becoming the Tournament Manager for the Trial Region in which that Omega Chosen was in was quite low."
Another advisor stepped forward, "Your Majesty, even if none of these 15 members encounters that Omega Chosen in this 1st Tournament, there will be many more opportunities for us in the upcoming Tournaments.
Even if the members of other factions manage to come across Omega Chosen, I highly doubt that person would join a faction so quickly without considering the offers of the remaining factions.
Moreover, the Live Performance Score of the other Galaxies was also exceptional. We could instead focus on them while every other faction goes after the Omega Chosen."
The Emperor nodded after giving a thought to the advisor's idea. However, he didn't give up on the possibility of one of the 15 members of his Empire becoming the Tournament Manager of the Milky Way Galaxy's Trial Region that the Omega Chosen was in.
So, he issues an imperial order to gather and bring all the selected 15 Tournament Managers of Milky Way Galaxy to meet him within a day.
The Red Elven Emperor wanted to personally brief them on the importance of recruiting the Omega Chosen of Milky Way Galaxy and list them the top-notch resources they had to mention to entice the Omega Chosen, along with the Red Elven Empire's Grand Elder position.
If anyone from the Red Elven Empire were to know about this, they would widen their mouths in disbelief since the authority of a Grand Elder was on par with the Emperor himself.
After an hour, an advisor approached the Emperor, who was sitting on his throne, "Your Majesty, I issued your order to those 15 members and made arrangements so that they could reach here by the end of the day. However, one of them refused to appear."
The Emperor's gaze turned fierce, and his voice reverberated in the court, "Hmph! This matter is of utmost importance to the Empire and all the Emperor's subjects have the responsibility to think of the welfare of the Empire. Didn't I already mention that the rewards will be based on their contribution? Who is it that was insolent enough to ignore my imperial order?"
The advisor shuddered in fear under the pressure of the now angry Emperor's gaze.
He then replied with difficulty, "Your Maj…..Majesty, It was the 3rd Prince."
Only when the Emperor heard that it was the 3rd Prince did he calm down and let out a helpless sigh.
The 3rd Prince was once one of the strongest individuals in the Empire, on par with the Emperor, and was even the top candidate for becoming the next Emperor.
With his dual Fire and Wood Grade-7 Innate Talents, he even had the potential to overcome the 2nd Universe Limit and reach Tier-7. Everyone in the Red Elven Empire believed that the 3rd prince would bring the Empire to new heights one day.
But 15 years back, while ascending to Tier-7, his Spirit Pool, the most essential part of an elemental innate talent user, was severely damaged due to a deviation, and he regressed to Tier-4 Low-Phase without any chance to grow stronger anymore.
It was a massive setback for the 3rd Prince. Over the years, the Emperor tried to remedy his condition, but no miraculous medicine could help him.
From then on, the 3rd prince didn't set foot out of his mansion and lived in seclusion.
The Emperor tried to bring him out of depression, but all his attempts failed to rekindle the 3rd Prince's motivation.
So, when the Emperor heard that it was the 3rd Prince that ignored his direct order, he ignored it since that was a common appearance for the past few years.
At the same time, the Emperor was happy that the 3rd Prince took the initiative to become a Regional Tournament Manager instead of dwelling on his past.
Back then, the Emperor placed many hopes on the 3rd Prince to make their Empire even more powerful; now that another opportunity presented itself in the form of the Zephyr Galactic Cluster and its Omega Chosen, he wanted to hold on to it.
The Emperor's intention was to have that Omega Chosen feel attached to his Empire so that when the Omega Chosen eventually grows stronger and ascends to Mega Cluster level hegemonies and Universe Level ones, the Empire could use them to grow in power and dominate the Virgo SuperCluster or even more.
It's not just the Red Elven Empire, but the remaining nine Hegemonies were also having the same thoughts of using the Omega Chosen's help to become the most powerful force in the Virgo SuperCluster.
While the Emperor was in his thoughts, an official with a leather parchment in his hand approached the advisor who just spoke with the Emperor and asked, "Did you find out which the Region that the 3rd Prince was allotted to? I was recording today's events in detail as everything that happened today will go down our Empire's annals of history."
The advisor replied, "Yes, Yes.... that's true, today is an important day for our Empire. About the 3rd Prince's allotted Trial Region, it was the 35th Trial Region in the 7th Trial Continent of the MilkyWay Galaxy's Trial World."
------------------------------
Points to mind:
-------------------------------
1 Universe ~= 1000 Mega Cluster
1 Mega Cluster ~= 1000 Super Clusters
1 SuperCluster ~= 1000 Galactic Clusters
1 Galactic Cluster ~= 1000 Galaxies.
-------------------------------
1 Trial World = 10 Trial Continents
1 Trial Continent = 100 Trial Regions
1 Trial Region = 1000 Trial Zones
-------------------------------
Also, if you go back to Ch.19, you could find that the 35th Trial Region in the 7th Trial Continent of the MilkyWay Galaxy's Trial World was the one Earth Trial Zone was in. It's rather evident since I wouldn't mention the Red Elven Empire and the 3rd Prince if it weren't for that.

And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes
