《Earth's Alpha Prime》129. Prelude of the Trial Region Tournament.

CHAPTER 129. Prelude of the Trial Region Tournament.
Half an hour passed since then and Brandon explained in detail what happened from Day-6 to Day-9.
That included the events, 'Gathering of Earth's Alpha Chosen' and 'Three Assessments', where Jay displayed his dominance and overwhelming power.
Brandon made it clear that even if the rest of the Earth's Alpha Chosen gang up against Jay, they wouldn't have a chance at defeating him.
By the time Brandon finished his words, everyone else in the room fell into a silence that lasted for a while.
Following that silence, Brandon looked at the CIA Director and asked in a solemn tone, "Director, In my service as a Secret Agent, have I ever made an error in my Judgement or put any mission I have been in jeopardy?"
To which the CIA Director understood the point Brandon was trying to make and replied firmly, "Not even once."
Brandon's gaze then passed through everyone in the room before landing on the President before continuing, "I am asking everyone to trust my Judgement and don't go finding trouble with that man. Everything I said about him was by no means exaggerated and could only have been downplayed as there is a high chance he is even more powerful than what I estimated him to be."
From the way he stressed, it became apparent how highly Brandon thought of Jay to everyone in that room.
He chose not to mention that the recent satellite malfunction was not caused by solar flares but just as a warning from Jay.
Brandon was worried that if the top officials were to know about that, they might be stupid enough to secretly go after Jay and do something they could only regret in the future.
With Brandon's advice, there wasn't anyone that suggested going after Jay and the meeting continued for a while before coming to an end.
*****
Once the 18-hour rest period ended, Day-10 began and every Alpha Chosen in the MilkyWay Trial Program was teleported back to the Trial World.
However, this time it varied from the usual as they weren't teleported back to their respective trial zones but to entirely different locations within the Trial World.
All the 9196 Alpha Chosen that were alive out of the initial 11,000 from the 7th Trial Continent's 35th Trial Region were teleported to a vast piece of land floating high above in the sky.

{Reminder Note:
1 Trial World = 10 Trial Continents
1 Trial Continent = 100 Trial Regions
1 Trial Region = 1000 Trial Zones
Since there are 11 Alpha Chosen per Trial Zone, a Trial Region will have 11,000 Alpha Chosen.}
---------
Even though it was just one-tenth the size of a Trial Zone, having an island with an area of 100 sq.km floating in the sky was a sight to behold.
To top it off, that floating island didn't have a plain Forest terrain but was more like a Medival City with numerous four-storey houses lined in perfect order, forming a circular pattern, and at the centre of that island were a few eye-catching structures.
But the one that stood out the most was the enormous oval Colosseum towering 220 meters tall while spanning 800 meters long and 650 meters wide.
Including the Earth's Alpha Chosen, thousands of other Alpha Chosen were teleported right onto the Colosseum's podium ground, filling it in the process.
As soon as everyone realised that they were in an unknown place, commotion spread like a wildfire, and the colosseum bustled with discussions among the Alpha Chosen, trying to deduce the situation.
Unlike most of the Alpha Chosen from other Trial Zones, Earth's Alpha Chosen were pretty calm as they all learned beforehand from Jay that the location they were teleported to was where the Trial Regional Tournament will take place.
Instead of trying to figure out where they were, the attention of the Earth's Alpha Chosen was on the Alpha Chosen of other Trial Zones around them.
Mainly because of their extraterrestrial appearances that were completely unknown to human knowledge. Other than them, everyone in the colosseum could be basically categorised as aliens.
The group of 9 Alpha Chosen standing to their right, who had Beetle-like appearance, with short horns and shiny black exoskeletons, noticed the calmness on the faces of Earth's Alpha Chosen and chose to initiate an interaction.
The tallest one among them, who was just four feet tall, stepped closer and stopped right before Kasim.
In front of Kasim, who was 6 feet and 5 inches tall, the Beetle-like midget had to turn its face upwards just to look at his face.
After two seconds of awkward silence, it asked Kasim in Genonian Language, "Hello there, fellow Alpha Chosen, you must be your Trial Zone's Leader. Do you perhaps happen to know where this place was?"

Their short stature combined with their high pitch voice gave off a strangely cute vibe about them.
Kasim pointed at himself and retorted in confusion, "You are talking to me? You really think I am the Leader?"
To which, another Beetle-like midget from behind nodded with confidence, "Of course, you are the largest one among your group. Who else would be the leader if not for you?"
The remaining Beetle-like midgets repeatedly nodded at those words in agreement and gave strange looks at Kasim as if it was something obvious.
Looking at them genuinely believing that being a leader depends on one's body size made Earth's Alpha Chosen chuckle at their innocence.
Kasim wanted to correct them and say Jay was their Leader but before that Dante giggled and went along with the Beetle-like midgets, "Of course, Of course…..this is our Leader, he will answer all your queries."
Min-soo, Andrea, Henry, and Gabriel echoed along with Dante, making Kasim helplessly sigh and turn over to look at Jay only to receive approval in the form of a quick nod.
Following that, Kasim explained to those midgets that it was a location where the Tournament will take place and that after the tournament ends, everyone will be teleported back to their respective trial zones.
The Leader of the Beetle-like midgets rubbed its chin as if thinking about something and after a few seconds of contemplation its eyes lit up and exclaimed, "Ohh! I get it now. So we are at the Tournament location."
It then turned around and explained the same thing to its subordinates in great detail and only then did that group of beetle midgets understand what Kasim had said.
Looking at how long it took for them to understand such a simple thing left most of the Earth's Alpha Chosen speechless.
Noticing the weird gazes of Earth's Alpha Chosen, The Leader of the Beetle Midgets coughed dryly, "Don't mind my subordinates. Unlike me, they are a little slow at grasping things. Anyway, thanks for sharing information with us. In the future, if you need our help, don't shy away from asking for our help."
After saying that, they moved away and began discussing something among themselves in their native language.
Andrea quietly voiced her opinion, "I can't believe they were able to survive till now."
Right then, Baby MJ appeared beside Andrea and informed her, "Don't be fooled by their docile appearance and seemingly low intelligence.
Their 'Horned Beetle' Race has an innate strength-enhancing physique and coupled with their Strength-type Innate Talents, each of them could take on a Tier-3 Mid-Phase monster despite being at Tier-2 High-Phase.
As for their Leader, it could temporarily burst out strength to match a Tier-3 High-Phase monster. There is a high chance that they could come out as one of the top 10 Trial zones in this Tournament."
Everyone except Jay was shocked upon learning about the capabilities of those midgets. If those words didn't come from someone as reliable as MJ, they wouldn't have believed such cute-looking midgets could be so powerful.
Even though it was his first time knowing about the Horned Beetle Race, Jay stayed unperturbed because he long ago learned about the top races within the System assimilated Universe from MJ and the Horned Beetles Race was still far from those pinnacle races.
MJ's words made the rest of Earth's Alpha Chosen look at the Horned Beetles in a new light.
It was at that moment, a wave of Tier-Suppression spread out from the centre of the Colosseum and the commotion of the podium ground settled down until there was no noise audible anymore.
The Tier-Suppression didn't apply pressure on anyone and was only released in a way to notify one's presence to everyone there.
Every Alpha Chosen looked above to the centre of the Colosseum, where a middle-aged man with pale-red skin and green eyes slowly descended from the sky and halted when he was 10 meters above the podium ground.
Other than his pointy ears and slim physique, what caught the attention of Earth's Alpha Chosen was his dressing sense.
He was wearing a green flowered beach shirt with brown shorts. It was as if he was there on vacation. The only weapon on him was the dagger scabbard hanging by his waist.
While levitating there, he casually glanced at everyone before saying, "Welcome to the Floating Tournament Island. As a Tournament manager, I will be overseeing the entire tournament process."

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? My Good Friend Murphy
***Disclaimer*** I wrote and am writing this purely for my own amusement. That means that this could have major revisions done to it sporadically, it has more grammar errors than even the most mentally stable grammar nazi could withstand, and will not update at all regularly. This is an ad-hoc fun experimental work with forced motives, plotholes, and static characters. Don't expect too much. That said, this mutated mistake of a short novella follows a ditzy MC who has been transported to a new world with the dubiously useful skills origin and enigma and the obnoxiously imbalanced skill, traveler. If you'd like more incentive to give it a shot, you will never get spoilers about the plot because there isn't one (Actual synopsis coming soon, relative to eternity)
