CHAPTER133: Trial Regional Tournament - Round 1: [Part-4]
With each batch of 100 Trial Zone teams taking around an hour to finish their Round-1, it took 7 hours by the time the 7th batch's evaluation score came out.
In the previous batches, there were a few that were on par with Seath or slightly stronger than him as they managed to enter the 9th difficulty level but none of them managed to clear it.
At least until an Alpha Chosen from the 7th batch accomplished that feat.
At that moment, everyone's attention was on that Alpha Chosen, who was being congratulated by the 3rd Prince for passing the 9th difficulty level.
"You actually managed to reach Stage-4 Water Mastery and use a higher element. No wonder you could defeat a Tier-3 High-Phase monster. Not even 10 days passed since the start of Trial Program and you have already grown this strong, even maybe the strongest of everyone among the Alpha Chosen participating in this Tournament."
Despite the 3rd Prince's praises, Akor laughed it off as he shook his head and said while looking at the spectator area, where Earth's Alpha Chosen were seated, "Mr Tournament Manager, there are still three more batches left. You can never be sure until they finish their Round-1."
The 3rd Prince assumed he was gazing at his fellow Atlans, who were seated in the spot just beside Earth's Alpha Chosen and took Akor's reply as him being humble.
After exchanging a few pleasantries, Akor returned to the seating area.
The Atlans looked excited to have one of them strong enough to defeat a Tier-3 High-Phase monster.
But they didn't act all prideful as they all know that Jay was the reason Akor became so powerful.
The female Atlan, Ah'na took a few sneak peeks at Jay as she pursed her lips and wondered, 'If I too had followed him, maybe I could have been as strong as Senior Brother Akor by now.'
It was not just her but the other Atlans were also having similar thoughts.
As for their Sea Lord, Aton, he hoped for their Trial Zone to maintain a friendly relationship with Earth's Alpha Chosen.
Along with Akor, he stepped forwards and gave Earth's Alpha Chosen his best wishes as they were about to make their way to the podium ground to take part in the 8th batch of Round-1.
Soon, the Earth's Alpha Chosen stood in front of their respective Reality Emulator and waited for the 3rd Prince's instructor to enter them.

Although they were pretty confident about becoming the Trial Zone with the highest evaluation score in Round-1, none of them was careless.
They thought back to Jay's words from a few minutes ago, "Remember, our goal is not just to score highest in this Trial Region but to be the highest scored Trial Zone of the MilkyWay Trial Program and possibly even the other Trial Programs of the Zephyr Galactic Cluster. Our performance in Round-1 will have to be a step towards reaching that goal. So, give it your best without holding back."
Once everyone was in their positions, the 3rd Prince gave a signal, indicating the Alpha Chosen from 701 to 800 Trial Zone Teams to enter the Cuboid Reality Emulators.
As soon as they entered, 100 screens appeared in the empty space above the podium and just like the previous batches, each screen displayed the top-ranked Alpha Chosen of each participation Trial Zone.
As the one with the highest level among the Earth's Alpha Chosen, Olivia was on one of those screens.
Apart from the Atlans, not many Alpha Chosen in the spectator area paid attention to her due to how frail she looked compared to those in the other 99 screens.
The ones that talk about Olivia not passed on snarky comments on her thin frame but also on Earth's Alpha Chosen for having her as their strongest one.
One such comment entered Akor's ears, angering him in the process.
Akor rushed towards the commenter and held him by the neck, making the one on the receiving end scream in pain as water in that commenter's body began evaporating at a visible rate.
Seeing their fellow team member being attacked by someone, the other Alpha Chosen of that Trial Zone team launched themselves at Akor but only to be subdued by the tentacles made of his Volatile Aqua higher element.
That scene caused a commotion and caught everyone's attention in the Colosseum, including the 3rd Prince.
He then flew to the seating area and learned what happened from the chitter-chatter of the nearby Alpha Chosen and sighed but he still asked Akor, "What seems to be the problem here?"
While still angrily staring at the commenter, Akor answered, "They disrespected my Liege and I am going to make them pay for it."
The 3rd Prince found that situation troublesome since he was supposed to rope in as many Alpha Chosen with high potential to the Red Elven Empire's side in the Tournament but he also had to see through the duties of a Tournament Manager.

"I failed to mention this but as a Tournament Manager, I am responsible to make sure the Alpha Chosen doesn't kill each other during the Tournament. If things are going out of hand, I have to step in. Even then, if an Alpha Chosen kills another one, they will be automatically disqualified from participating in the Tournament. So, Akor, is there a need for me to be involved?"
Akor knew that he has no chance against someone who was at Tier-4 like the 3rd Prince. On top of that, he had no wish to be disqualified over an ignorant nobody. So, after thinking it through, he calmed himself and loosened his grip over the commenter's neck and dropped him back.
At the same time, Akor released the Volatile Aqua tentacles that were wrapped around the other Alpha Chosen of that Trial Zone team.
But they still showed pained expressions due to having a part of their skin burnt from being in contact with the Volatile Aqua element.
"There is no need, Mr Tournament Manager. I'm good."
After saying that, Akor moved back to his seating spot and sat down as if nothing had happened.
Witnessing everything that transpired, the majority of Alpha Chosen became fearful of Akor and made a note to not aggravate him in any way.
As for the 3rd Prince found it surprising that someone as strong as Akor would be so respectful towards another Alpha Chosen. That would mean that certain someone must be even stronger than Akor to earn his respect.
So, the 3rd Prince paid attention to the Alpha Chosen, whom Akor respected as his Liege.
Alas, he didn't know that Akor wasn't talking about Olivia but someone who was ranked 10th among the Earth's Alpha Chosen.
By the time the 3rd Prince resolved the incident, several Alpha Chosen in the 100 screens already crossed the first three difficulty levels.
Just from that, it was hard to determine who were the stronger ones among the bunch as it was only Tier-1 monsters they have faced till then.
But it became apparent once two of those 100 Alpha Chosen crossed the 7th difficulty level in a really short time.
One of them was Olivia, who didn't break a sweat to slay a Tier-2 High-Phase monster. In fact, she cleared each difficulty level with relative ease compared to the other one.
The other one was none other than the Leader of Horned Beetle midgets.
While the Horned Beetle Leader chose to take a 10-minute recuperation break for the next difficulty level, Olivia directly proceeded to the 8th difficulty level and cleared it in a minute before entering the 9th difficulty level without any care for taking a break.
By that time, the screen that displayed everything that was happening in Olivia's Reality Emulator was moved to the very top of them all.
No one in the entire Colosseum even blinked once as they watched Olivia fight toe to toe with a peak Tier-3 monster on equal standing.
Their shock didn't end there as it took her less than three minutes to clear the 9th difficulty level, breaking the record set by Akor.
It was when the name 'Olivia' that was shown on the top left of the screen made a few spectators remember the name of the Omega Chosen, the possessor of a Grade-10 Innate Talent.
From each other, the knowledge of Olivia's identity as an Omega Chosen spread wide until every one of the spectators learned about it.
Obviously, that didn't escape the 3rd Prince's attention. He was already shocked by the prowess displayed by Olivia but after finding that she was an Omega Chosen, he was at a loss for words.
He never expected that out of the 930,000 Tournament Managers assigned for the Zephyr Galactic Cluster, he would be the one to come across an Omega Chosen.
If his father, the Red Elven Emperor were to know about that, he would jump with joy, disregarding his majestic stature.
He waited for Olivia to exit the Reality Emulator so that he could mention the top-notch resources and the Grand Elder position of the Red Elven Empire to entice the other party.
While everyone one's attention was on Olivia, an Alpha Chosen was sent out of his Reality Emulator. As he was the first one in the 8th batch to be sent out, no one paid attention to him or his evaluation score, except for the Atlans.
They instantly recognised Jay and when they saw his Evaluation Score on his Reality Emulator, their eyes bulged in disbelief.

Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.
