CHAPTER 159: The score that broke apart common logic. {(Part-2) out of 2}
Listening to Dante explain what happened during the 13th Monster Wave, the rest of the Earth's Alpha Chosen went wild with their thoughts and gulped unconsciously.
Especially, picturing how overwhelmingly powerful the monsters were according to Dante's description and how even Jay was helpless against those monsters had made them wonder if they could have lasted even a second in the 13th Monster Wave.
Whatever confidence they had procured from being the most powerful team in the Tournament and outweighing the other teams' Evaluation Scores by a lot was drained right out of them.
After all, when facing a Tier-5 or higher-tiered individuals, it doesn't matter even if the Earth's Alpha Chosen stood at the very top among the million trial zone teams in the Trial Program.
Although experiencing a virtual death under the hands of Tier-5 monsters had left quite an impression on Jay, he wasn't as overwhelmed as the rest of his team members. Instead, his thirst for power grew even further.
More trial zone teams were sent out of their allotted Reality Emulators as time passed. The ones who came out couldn't help themselves from staring at the Earth's Alpha Chosen in disbelief after learning their Round-2 Evaluation Score.
As soon as the last remaining one, the Atlanis Trial Zone Team completed their Round-2, the Round-2 Evaluation Score was refreshed for one last time before finalising the results.

________________
Compared to the trial zone team rankings in Round-1, there were just two changes in Round-2 rankings.
They were the rank advancements of Atlanis and Falud trial zone teams. While the former rose from 5th to 2nd position, the latter leapt all the way from 100th to 15th position.

Rather than the improvement shown by the Atlanis trial zone team, the abrupt rank advancement of the Falud trial zone team led most of the audience to focus on them.
The keen ones caught onto instances when the Falud trial zone team moved together with the Earth trial zone team.
It didn't take long for them to guess that the Earth trial zone team had something to do with the sudden rise of the Falud trial zone team.
But no one dared voice their opinions lest they offend the Earth trial zone team in the process.
An overwhelming score of 10.3 million was more than enough to make everyone fear the Earth's Alpha Chosen.
The vast difference in Score between the first and second-ranked teams had fortified the Earth trial zone team's position as the undisputed 'No.1'.
The other teams in the Top-10 lost whatever last bit of hopes they had in ranking first in the Tournament.
Unlike the others, the Atlans fared better after learning of the Earth team's immense Score.
Still, it shook them at the thought of someone reaching the 13th Monster Wave in Round-2.
When all other Atlans died at the beginning of the 9th Monster Wave, it was Akor who single-handedly cleared it.
Although he couldn't survive for more than a few seconds against 100 Tier-4 Low-Phase monsters in the 10th Monster Wave, Akor gave his all in the hopes of Jay commending him.
When Akor learned of the Earth trial zone team's performance in Round-2, he immediately guessed it was Jay that contributed most to the team Evaluation Score. From the 10-digit Score, it became apparent to him that Jay had grown even stronger than before.
Realising that he was still nowhere at Jay's standard, Akor sighed, but the glint in his eyes indicated his will to grow even stronger and be the strongest follower under Jay.
As for Halbor and the rest of the Rock Magmoids, Akor didn't see them as competition since they missed their chance to obtain Origin Sigils.
Whereas the Rock Magmoids were still in disbelief for ranking among the top 25 teams, that too at the 15th position.

When Jay first guaranteed they would reach Top-25, the Rock Magmoids found it to be a bit exaggerated, but only after the results came out did they realise it was an understatement.
With them watching Akor's performance displayed on one of the screens in Round-2, it didn't come as a surprise when the Atlanis trial zone team ranked second.
However, they guessed Akor's improvement must have had to do with the power he received from Jay.
That made the Rock Magmoids wonder what would have happened if they hadn't rejected the Second Choice Jay had presented them.
The chit-chatter and commotion within the Colosseum subsided with Felarial's announcement.
"Only the Top-25 teams are qualified for Round-3. As for the rest of the teams that participated in Round-2, join the audience seating area if you wish to spectate. The subsequent Round shall commence after a 3-hour intermission.
I recommend the Top-25 teams to rest well in that time because, unlike the previous two rounds, Round-3 won't be held within the Reality Emulators but on this very podium ground itself.
Moreover, each team will have to fight every other team by the end of Round-3 to decide the final rankings. Alright, enough with this for now. I shall announce the specifics after the 2nd Intermission. Let us end Round-2 here."
With that, everyone in the Colosseum began vacating through the four exit gates.
This time Felarial didn't approach the Earth's Alpha Chosen and watched them leave along with the Atlans and the Rock Magmoids.
He didn't ask them for their decisions and decided to wait till the end of the Tournament.
Another reason for not approaching them was to do with Jay. Felarial didn't wish to antagonise Jay anymore than he did at the end of Round-1.
If he had prior knowledge of what would happen upon using an information-prying skill on Jay, he would never have done that in the first place and stumbled onto Jay's bad side.
Jay's performance back in Round-1 made Felarial cautious in his presence, but after going through Jay's individual Evaluation Score in Round-2, he couldn't help but be fearful.
Excluding the Team Bonus Points, Jay alone scored 4.3 Million Points!!
Felarial knew it had to do with the ink-black fog Jay used to cover the barren battlefield to blind the senses of monsters.
Even with such a method, reaching the 13th Monster Wave was next to impossible, but somehow the Earth trial zone team accomplished it.
With a total of 10.3 million points, Felarial didn't believe any other team in the Milky Way Trial Program could beat the Earth's team.
His thoughts weren't without grounds; after all, the highest ever recorded Team Score for Round-2 in the Trial Programs conducted in the System-assimilated Universe was 7.7 million.
One must remember that the 1st Tournament of almost all those Trial Programs took place on Day-30, whereas the Milky way Trial Program had it on Day-10.
That would mean the Alpha Chosen from the Milky Way Galaxy only had one-third the time for growth.
Despite those odds, the Earth trial zone team came over the top with a score that broke apart common logic.
-------------
If you have noticed, I am basing the first letters of the names of Alpha Chosen depending on the first letter of their home planet.
Example-1: Atlanis (Akor, Aton, Ah'na...etc)
Example-2: Polyphaga (Pompa....etc)
Example-3: Ragath (Raul, Rex, Remus, Rodyn, Reinald, Roth....etc )
Of course, I didn't do the same for Earth's Alpha Chosen. There are a few exceptions like the character 'Seath' from the planet 'Owlite' and 'Halbor' from the planet 'Falud'.
I am thinking about changing the planet name of Rock Magmoids from 'Falud' to 'Halud' so that it would be easier to keep track of which Trial Zone Team they belong to.
What is your opinion on this? If you wish to let it be the same, type 'Falud' in the chapter comment section. If you want me to change the planet name of Rock Magmoids, then type 'Halud'. Based on which side most readers are inclined, I will make the final decision.
