*Pak* *Pak*
In a dimly lighted room, the sounds of flesh hitting against each other kept resounding.
"Why aren't you making any sounds? Don't you like it?", a red-haired man that looks around thirty years old spoke grinning while looking at a black-haired young woman.
Standing at 1.8 meters tall. He had dark green eyes, hollow cheeks, full lips, a triangular face, and a burly muscular body filled with scars.
As for the young woman she had short hair, blue eyes, a small nose, and a terrifying scar across her face. She had a youthful appearance, however, her eyes lacked any sort of vigor.
She wore only a thin veiled gown revealing her body, a tear couldn't help but fall down from her eyes. Even though she was doing the very best she could to not show any weakness.
The only way she could retaliate was through this, not showing any weakness. Because that's what these monsters liked.
That was also the reason she was chosen by the leader of the Red Curse Bandits, and nobody else but him touched her. As for the other women who were brought together with her, she didn't even want to think about the nightmare they must be going through.
Her name was Cai Yi, a twenty-year-old adventurer.
A week has passed since that wretched incident. The way her life had changed in just the span of a week was unimaginable to her, to this day she couldn't even process what happened. Everything happened too quickly. Sometimes she fantasizes that this was all a horrible nightmare and she'd wake up to her twin brother still alive, but the sound of the demon manages to crush those fantasies the moment they form.
Duan Da the leader of the bandits saw the tear falling down her face and it made him even more excited. He likes dominating others in any shape or form, and that's exactly why he chose Cai Yi from the rest. She was headstrong and tough, she didn't give in nor show any despair and she even killed some of his subordinates. He happened to be someone who liked challenges, the harder the better.
But of course, only the challenges that pose no threat to his life.
Cai Yi hated herself for not being able to do anything, even suicide was a luxury to her at this point.
A week ago was the day she went on a simple mission with her brother, they only joined another adventurer party to guard a merchant group. They thought it was only a simple safe mission to protect the carriages from low-level demon beasts because it was. However, life can be cruel sometimes.

The Red Curse Bandits were a vicious bandit group from a nearby country, and because their country was in the middle of reform and crowning a new king they were trying to clean everything. A new king should rise to the throne with glory, and in the eyes of the masses, there is no greater glory for a king than his ability to protect and avenge his people.
And so it began, they swoop into the forests killing dozens of bandit groups. Unfortunately, The Red Curse were close to the border and outside of their camp when that happened, so they've been hiding in the Still Hollow forest of the nearby kingdom for a while now.
They stayed low profile, only hunting in the forest and cultivating. However, these individuals were crazed twisted killers. The only enjoyment they had lied in getting whatever they want at the expense of others. To them, shit like morality and empathy was for the weak. As for the strong? They earned the right to do whatever they wanted with the weak. They were weak too at some point, so they feel no guilt, if anyone should feel guilty it's these trash for staying like this.
Their philosophy is very simple to cultivate. Don't mess with strong people, and unleash their fullest darkest desires on people they could afford to mess with. Why? Because they wanted to and they could.
It didn't take long for them to start getting restless, but then as if the gods answering their prayers, their scout discovered a very weak unknown merchant group protected by a single Low Foundation Establishment guard passing by.
Usually, in these parts of the forest, it was overkill but who would have thought that this strong and tight formation would crumble in just a second.
Yes! It only took the leader a second to kill the other party's strongest. What followed was simply a massacre, they killed every man in the group and captured the women. Some women who were decisive enough committed suicide right then and there.
Unfortunately, for the others, they hesitated clinging on to some hope that someone would save them. They would regret and hate themselves for that indecisiveness later on. The bandits branded them with slave imprints, and from that moment on, they were physically unable to go against any orders given.
Yet, they only gave them one very simple order and stopped using the slave imprints. Don't commit suicide.
They wanted to capture and toy with humans, where was the fun if they simply followed every single order against their will? It was only a matter of time before the slaves followed them willingly, this was something they'd done several times in the past.

Duan Da moved his finger across her face in a provoking attempt to appear 'gentle'.
As for Cai Yi, she was disgusted by him yet also afraid, 'Is this how my life's gonna be from now?' This thought haunted her. She could feel her strength and desire to live on fading away every single day through constant dehumanization and humiliation.
After he finished, he put on his clothes and left.
Leaving the poor girl lying on the bed with a lifeless look on her face. She cried quietly for a while, she needed to otherwise she'd cry when he's having her way with her again. Even in this hopeless situation, she was still approaching the situation a bit rationally.
Then! She stood up and went beside the window, her only way out of here is through this window. Not because she's planning to run as one might think, No. To die!
The first day they brought them here, she surprised them and killed eight of their members who were Mid Body Refinement. As she was a High rank herself, it was no big deal. Just as the others were about to kill her, Duan Da saved her and locked her in his room, or in this case doomed her to a life worse than death.
Her only hope is for a monster to pass by and kill her. She knows that there are a lot of terrifying monsters in the depth of this forest, she only hoped maybe one day one of them would come to this part.
Just as she stood up beside the window, looking at the forest. She was shocked! Then, Overjoyed! She saw a monster amid the branches with two golden lamps for eyes looking at her directly.
She couldn't make up the figure of the monster, she was able to only see its golden eyes.
She knew that for a monster to be this close to the bandit camp, and not be discovered by even Duan Da he must be formidable!
She hurriedly broke a chair into tiny pieces and started throwing them in the direction of the monster to enrage it!
Just one single attack, just one please, Kill me!!, she thought.
*Thud*
One piece of wood even landed on the body of the monster, yet it remained unmoving.
She started crying and continued throwing pieces of wood, books, and so on... If she didn't die right here right now. She couldn't possibly imagine how she'd be able to continue living in her misery.
She noticed that the monster was looking at her with a peculiar expression, its eyes even showed a hint of pity.
The moment she saw that she had a terrible feeling, she knew that some monsters are more intelligent than others. Especially the stronger they grow the more intelligent they become.
For it to show pity, it means that it probably wouldn't kill her, because it wasn't the least bit enraged by her attempts to make it angry.
Then! Her worst nightmare just got even darker, the monster left!
'Nooooo'
She dropped down to her knees crying after a while a determined yet crazed look appeared on her innocent face. She started pulling her hair out. If she couldn't kill herself, she'd completely disfigure her face.
This was the last option she thought of. Originally, she wanted to try a more humane death by a monster. However, the fact that she just felt relieved about the prospect of death only for her to fall back down into her nightmare broke the last straw.
She started tearing apart her hair and stabbing her face with her fingers. She would mutilate herself to the point that not even healing skills would save her, then when they see her new ugly disfigured face she would start acting mad, manipulating them into killing her.
She couldn't use much force due to the slave imprint, so it was even more painful and slow...
She hated what they made her turn into, a deranged person wishing for death, the more she hated them the more force she used.

Summoner's Journey
[Before you read - the story is officially dead. The reasons behind it are posted in the last chapter.] In a magic world on the verge of an industrial revolution, Ari Ragnarsson must uncover the truth behind his parents' disappearance. They were part of an organization known as the Order, which protects mankind from various threats - both human and supernatural. Now, after Ari's brands finally manifest, he leaves the safety of his village and travels to the continent. Strength is all that matters in this world and he must learn how to control his powers. There, he meets a man from another world, who's being hunted for merely existing. Their fates become intertwined, but not in a way either of them would appreciate. Author's note (contains minor non-story related spoilers about the MC and setting) This is a progression fantasy with LITRPG elements sprinkled on top. The main character is not a spellsword, but a summoner/support mage hybrid. Since he wasn't ambushed by a random god, there's no cheat item/spell and he has to rely on his skills and wits to survive in a world full of monsters. The story tries to show the moment when the old starts to be replaced by the new, with a healthy dose of magic and a little steampunk in the background. Also, it revolves around a party dynamic akin to RPG sessions. No health/mana bars. Numbers are secondary and the LITRPG elements focus more on classes/spells/runes and their evolutions. Tables are sparse at the beginning, but from chapter 7 onwards they appear more often. Still, I won't be copy-pasting the whole character sheet dozens of times per chapter.
