《Creating a world can't be that difficult, right?》Chapter 87

When he recovered his sword, Zack began to inspect the battlefield to find some opportunity to kill another beast.
The first thing that he saw was that those wounded had managed to arrive at the wagons and hide inside them. That was good news, as they wouldn't need to help them survive and instead would be able to focus only on their fight against the sharks.
As his enemies were underground, Zack tried to focus all his mental capacities to try and sense their movements, but his efforts soon proved to be in vain.
Even so, while he was trying to find them, he remembered that those beasts were using earth-energy to move across the ground, so he should be able to sense the energy that they were using for this.
Without thinking twice, he closed his eyes and began to use his sea of consciousness to feel the energy around him, focusing especially on the ground. For a few instants, he felt a streak of energy moving at high speed through the floor.
Realizing that the energy was moving toward the surface, Zack began to run to intercept it as soon as it showed its head. While he was moving towards it, he made sure that the person that was about to get attacked by the beast dodged it.
Even if he didn't manage to kill it, Zack still landed a deep stab at the shark's head. Realizing that he couldn't kill them all by himself, Zack began to focus on following the movements of the sharks through their energy trail.
By doing this, he could alert those that were about to get attacked, while at the same time, those that were nearby could attack the shark as soon as they saw it.
Using this tactic, they managed to stay safe for the rest of the fight, reacting to each of the sharks' attacks and landing a few hits on their bodies each time.

When they managed to kill the last one of the beasts, half an hour had already passed since the start of the fight, and the members of the expedition were butchering the bodies of the sharks.
Because of their affinity with earth-energy, most of their body parts were good materials to create energy-infused equipment of that same element, so they did their best to retrieve those parts that were in the best condition so they could use them when they returned to the academy.
While they were doing this, Zack stayed on guard with some of the other warriors so they wouldn't get ambushed.
"Wow, man. I didn't expect you to be so good at fighting. When I first saw you, I thought I would be the senior because I'm older, but it is clear that you have much more experience in this than I do." Walt said humbly.
"Well, you see, I have been fighting for a few years against cults on the old continent with my group, so I'm used to working in a team. Also, I have a higher cultivation level, so it makes it much easier to stand out in a fight," Zack replied.
"You say it as if that didn't make it even more impressive. You aren't only younger and more skilled than me, but you also have a talent for cultivation. I should abandon the mission and use all my savings to buy a little farm," he said melodramatically.
"Don't misunderstand me, but that doesn't sound like a bad plan," Zack replied, bursting into laughter.
Less than an hour later, the group began their journey again.
They traveled across the Yanan Desert for four days, during which they found more dangerous beasts that tried to attack them. They found more banks of sand sharks, but thanks to their coordination and Zack's guidance, they defended themselves from each one of the attacks.

But the attacks didn't come only from the sharks, as other kinds of beasts tried to attack them on their journey. Most of the enemies that they encountered on their way relied on camouflage to hide from their prey and ambush them, like a giant scorpion that attacked them or a pack of giant rats that sneaked into their camp at night to steal their supplies.
Thankfully, they managed to defend themselves from each of the attacks that they suffered on their journey, and when they were about to camp to rest at the end of the fourth day, they saw something in the distance.
A few kilometers ahead of them among the dunes, they saw a large area covered with grass and palms.
