I'm scared of a freaking fallen angel going berserk and destroying the city in his stupid rampage and get myself killed again before I even said hi to this new world' Yuki thought with a worried face, but he understood what she was trying to do so he decided to play along with her as he replied to this annoying woman with a dismissive look "Don't worry, nothing scares me more than you calling me when I'm trying to fall asleep"

Chihiro's face suddenly distorted appearing like she just swallowed a big fat cockroach before she said "You bastard, plenty of people would kill for me to call them at night and hear my angelic voice!"

'What angelic voice, if you were a singer, music would kill itself!' Thought Yuki when he heard how high she thought of herself, and a weird smile suddenly found its way on his face as he said "Really, where are they... these people that would kill for you? I would really love to hire some of them"

'Can't say no to some extra protection' thought Yuki, and just like that, an intense fight of bickering and insults ensued between Yuki and Chihiro which helped him in getting his worried mind to forget a little about all the mess that was about to happen soon and how hopeless he was to do anything... but at least he could escape it. Which was the obvious plan since he was no hero. after all even without him interfering things would work themselves out just fine in the end.

At this point, Mashiro who was annoyed when she found herself left out of the conversation suddenly interrupted them and said "Yuki!"

Yuki tilted his head in confusion not understanding what Mashiro wanted from him, as it would often be the case with this girl so he replied "Yes?", Mashiro's eyes were twinkling in anticipation as she asked again "Will you help me?"

'Oh, that's right, the earthquake ended up distracting me from answering her and I almost forgot about it completely…' Yuki's mind was so occupied by what was going to happen and the danger the future holds to the point that he completely forgot that he was going to reject Mashiro's offer to help her in her manga as he didn't have much time to waste so he opened his mouth and said "Sorry Mashiro I c-"

But then, while he was mid-sentence, his face completely froze all of a sudden and he stopped talking and seemed to be looking at the space in front of him eerily and both Mashiro and Chihiro understood that whatever shock he had from the earthquake, the look on his face right now made it seem like it was nothing. His earlier horrified face was put to the power of a hundred! so, Mashiro quickly tried to get him out of it…

"Yuki!" yelled Mashiro worriedly while shaking his hand to wake him from whatever dimension he was lost in and Chihiro too couldn't help but ask worriedly "Yuki, is everything okay?"

"he he he" Yuki couldn't help but let out a depressed laugh before he said "How can everything be okay when something keeps screwing with your life?"

"Hey, she's just asking you to help her in her manga, you don't have to be so mean about it" Chihiro misunderstood what was going on and thought that Yuki was talking about Mashiro, and recalling that her cousin was already hurt today by one of her friends, she couldn't take it seeing her being hurt again and ended up acting impulsively…

However, somehow the girl that doesn't know how to express her emotions actually understood Yuki the best at this moment and didn't misunderstand him as she waited for him to explain what he meant...

"What are you talking about? Are you an idiot?" Yuki couldn't help but blurt out in annoyance when he heard what Chihiro said

"You weren't talking about Mashiro?" Asked Chihiro suddenly realizing that she was jumping to conclusions and felt embarrassed at misunderstanding this kid…

"Of course not, why would I be talking about her? I was talking about my… never mind, I can't explain this to you" Yuki almost ended up exposing his secret but he stopped himself in time and ended up turning to Mashiro instead "I was actually about to reject your offer, but now I don't really have to as I had a change of plans so you can simply call me whenever you need help with your manga"

Saying this, Yuki thought that Mashiro would be happy, but for some reason, she kept looking at him with worry in her eyes while holding his hand not knowing what to do before she simply nodded… what he didn't realize was that he said he would help her with despair covering his face...

'Maybe this girl can succeed in her manga after all…' Yuki thought when he saw how Mashiro was able to tell how sad he was at this moment and seemed to have resigned to his fate when her cousin who's a teacher couldn't, so he felt like she could fix the problems he mentioned before in her manga and create another piece of art…

At this point, a waitress suddenly approached them and asked about their well-being, after all, even though the earthquake that just happened was weak, but some people still find themselves affected by it like seeing everything around them trembling even when the earthquake stops and many other things…

At this point, Yuki suddenly pretended to look at his phone before he interrupted their conversation and said said "Well something came up and I need to go now, so you guys can order again without me if you want"

Chihiro tried avoiding eye contact with him as she was still embarrassed of her previous behavior so she turned to the waitress who kept staring at Yuki nervously and suddenly lost any appetite so she said coldly"Thank you, but we'll just be leaving"

"I-I-I see, please visit us again" said the waitress with a polite bow before she quickly ran away as if she was pardoned from a crime…

"Well then you guys take care…" Yuki turned around to leave but Chihiro suddenly stopped him and with an embarrassed look said "Sorry, I really thought you were trying to hurt Mashiro that's why I…"

"Please save your reasons to yourself because I don't care about them, goodbye" Seeing Yuki not accepting her apology and leaving just like that made the guilt Chihiro was feeling increase even more especially because she could have avoided this if she was perceptive enough like her cousin or simply asked him what he meant before assuming the worst…

But her behavior wasn't totally unfounded because she always finds herself with bad men that dump her at the first opportunity after getting what they want from her so she started assuming the worst in them and thought the same thing was happening to her cousin and ended up reacting instinctively…

Noticing her cousin's distress, Mashiro held her hand to comfort her and said "Let's go home".

Feeling a little bit better thanks to her cousin's action, Chihiro held her closely giving her a tight hug that surprised Mashiro before she dragged her away to go shopping instead of going home and relieve some of her stress…

Meanwhile, as Yuki was heading back home, His face was a pure depiction of anger and rage making people cross the street just so they don't pass near him, while his mind was filled with all kinds of curses and insults directed at the system that kept finding ways to make his already miserable life even more difficult.

'Is this system serious, to actually give such a crazy quest! It's definitely trying to kill me, no matter how he tries to sugar coat it with the good rewards!' Yuki thought while remembering the notification that appeared suddenly when he was talking to Mashiro and caused the misunderstanding between him and Chihiro…
