《MY Life In The Multiverse》Chapter 24: How to explain a lie

After Yuki finished recounting the prophecy he just made up. Not to mention Emilia who was already taking him seriously, but this time, even Ashiya who was thinking that Yuki was suffering some side effects from the drug abuse that ruined his body and started going crazy and hearing voices… he found himself astonished when he heard this prophecy and he also started to believe Yuki…
"Fallen angel… Don't tell me…" Ashiya muttered and he suddenly thought of one of the general's that worked under his lord and was thought of as dead, killed by none other than the red-haired girl beside him…
As for Emilia herself, she was astounded when she heard someone reveal her identity as a half-angel, something even the demon lord didn't know about! 'Yuki couldn't have made this up, it seems like someone really communicated with him, but who was it?" Emilia couldn't help but feel worried…
"So, what do you guys think about this prophecy?" Asked Yuki with a sad face which broke the demon and the half-angel from their thoughts…
"I now understand why you were releasing all that negativity, it's only natural for you to feel like that when you find your life is about to end and you can't do anything about it…" Said Ashiya with a worried look on his face, clearly having many thoughts racing through his head other than what he just said to Yuki.
'From this prophecy, it seems my lord will be in danger three days later, I need to make sure to protect him no matter what' Ashiya vowed silently to himself, the same Ashiya that was willing to lock his lord outside the room…
Meanwhile, Emilia seemed thoughtful for a second before she said "I think I know why you only understood what the voice was saying when you got to this building"
'Hmm really?' Yuki almost let out a chuckle as he tried to keep a serious face while Ashiya had a surprised look and asked "and what could it be, hero Emilia?"
Emilia glanced at the both of them before she adjusted her hair behind her ear and said "You know about the earthquakes that are occurring frequently right?"
Ashiya nodded at her as he was always worried that a huge earthquake might hit Tokyo if this continues so he was always checking the news about this…
At this point, Emilia had a slightly embarrassed look on her face as she said "Those are the after-effects of the Idea link spell, people from Ente Isla keep on trying to communicate with me but they keep failing in locating me…"
Ashiya suddenly had a horrified look on his face as he said "AAA, Hero Emilia are you trying to call for reinforcements?"
Hearing what this idiot said, Emilia, snapped at him "Of course not, I wouldn't put the people of this world in danger so selfishly, but I'm stranded in this world that doesn't have magic and I can't replenish my power, so I was stuck between either using the remaining sacred power I had to rid the world of you evil demons and lose any chance I have to return to Ente Isla or wait for them to locate me with the Idea link spell before I make a decision…

Anyways back to my point, I think someone from Ente Isla used this opportunity and ended up connecting with Yuki-kun instead, and the reason he only started understanding what they said when he came here to Villa Rosa is because of you and Maou…"
Ashiya wanted to rebuke her at first hearing what her initial plans were, but he then found himself surprised "Because of me and my lord? You mean, because of our magic, that connection ended up being stronger? But when? I don't think we tried to use magic against him…" Ashiya seemed thoughtful a little before he suddenly sprung up to his feet scaring Yuki and Emilia before he said…
"I remember! The day Yuki arrived here and that misunderstanding happened, My lord was begging me to open the door of the room and I remember hearing Yuki talking to him…"
"Wait! You actually locked demon lord Satan outside the apartment and he was so scared of Yuki to the point that he kept begging you to open it? Hahahahaha this is so hilarious" Emilia burst out laughing while holding her stomach and she laughed so hard to the point that her eyes started watering…
"Shut up, at least my lord didn't stumble on the stairs before he ran away" Ashiya seeing how she was mocking him and his lord, he immediately rebuked her, but he immediately regretted it as Emilia's laugh stopped and she shot him an angry look "What did you say?"
Ashiya quickly tried to return the subject to what he was talking about initially "Nothing, Ahum, what I'm saying is during that moment, I sensed my lord channeling his magic and was about to attack Yuki, but he then stopped when the landlord arrived at the scene, still I think Yuki made contact with magic at that point"
"What, Maou was going to attack me?" Yuki started sweating heavily when he found that he dodged such a huge bullet thanks to the landlord and couldn't help but thank her in his heart… But then it turned into rage when he realized that he almost died and he had no idea!
"Yeah sorry about that…" Ashiya apologized in Maou's place while rubbing the back of his head with an embarrassed look
Yuki shot him a disgusted look as he thought 'Fuck your apology, now I understand why that bastard accepted having me for dinner with them that day, he probably thought that it was a good way to compensate me, cheap bastard…'
But then Yuki's face almost broke into a chuckle as he thought 'But who would have thought, these two actually found a way to justify my lie, hahahaha this is amazing'
"You two are really reckless" said Emilia while shaking her head, disappointed by Maou and Ashiya before she said "So, what should we do?"
Hearing her question, Yuki immediately jumped in and was the first to reply to her "I think we shouldn't tell Maou-san about this"

Emilia was surprised at my suggestion, but Ashiya was even more surprised and angry as he thought that I was trying to endanger the life of his lord so he said "Are you crazy, what if my lord is really attacked, I can't let him be taken by surprise like this"
"Relax Ashiya, I didn't say this to endanger Maou's life, although I'm really tempted to do so knowing that he too almost killed me" Yuki was gritting his teeth at the end of this sentence
"What's your goal then?" Asked Ashiya, and after regaining his calm, Yuki responded to him saying "The reason I said this is because right now, we have a clear time of when the trouble is going to occur, which is in three days right?"
"Right…" responded Ashiya in confusion and Emilia too had a similar look on her face so Yuki decided to clear their mind "We have the time, but we don't have a location! That's why I want to let the events flow naturally these next few days with Maou not knowing so that the time doesn't change and we find ourselves unprepared"
Ashiya and Emilia's suddenly widened in surprise as the latter suddenly blurted out "You are right, it's possible that the time will change if we try to change Maou's actions so I think we really shouldn't interfere with his actions for now"
Ashiya kept struggling internally but he knew that this was the best chance they have to be prepared for whoever's eyeing his lord, so he ended letting a long sigh and said "Fine I agree" but then his expression turned dead serious as he looked at Emilia and said "But please remember, my lord isn't the only target, you are also a target"
Emilia shrugged her shoulders and said "Don't worry, I'm not shameless like you demons, I will take his life when he's at his strongest!" then she stood up and was prepared to leave "I have a late shift at work today so I need to go, take care Yuki-kun and don't strain your body a lot and don't worry, we will take care of the mess we brought with us"
Yuki shot this girl a genuine smile as he stood up and said "Thank you for saving me once more, if you ever need help in the future, I will be there for you" This was how Yuki genuinely felt and it wasn't just a ruse to fulfill one of his tasks…
Emilia could clearly see the sincere look in Yuki's eyes and felt glad that she squashed that misunderstanding and did something good today with her life so she smiled back at him and said "I will take you for that offer then, my h e r o"
Yuki's pale face suddenly turned completely red when he remembered this girl carrying him In his dream like a princess… 'Ah how embarrassing, it seems I even mumbled that when I was unconscious' he thought while averting his eyes from Emilia who was looking at him with an amused look on her face…
"Well then goodbye" Emilia said to Yuki and turned around to leave happily but she then remembered something and turned to Ashiya with a disgusted look and said "Go to hell" before she left for her work leaving Yuki alone with him…
"Why do you get the nice treatment while I get such harshness from her…" Ashiya turned to Yuki and asked with a sad look on his face…
"Because I don't try to kill people over misunderstandings…" Yuki felt no pity for this guy at all, no matter how sad he tried to make himself look.
"Well, you got a point there…" Said Ashiya as he also stood up to leave "well see you later Yuki-kun" but when he reached the door, Yuki suddenly stopped him while saying "Wait Ashiya, you forgot something!"
Ashiya was confused and was about turn around but suddenly something went flying right beside his face and ended up embedded on the door in front of him as cold sweat started falling from his head and he heard a clear snort of disappointment from Yuki before he said "Tch, I missed, Oh right 'dear neighbor' You almost forgot your knife, you came for it right?"
'I really shouldn't provoke or drop my guard around this kid, Otherwise, my head will end flying… it seems I was correct to be worried about him stabbing me in my sleep when I lent him the knife' Ashiya heart was beating like crazy at the close call he just dodged thanks to Yuki's slightly bad aiming as he almost made him have another mouth at the back of his head... with his own knife no less…
"T-T-Thank you, Yuki-kun, I will be leaving now" Said nervously as he retrieved the knife that was lodged on the door and left the room…
"You are welcome, you lucky bastard" Said Yuki, and unbeknownst to him, Ashiya heard him and ended up muttering
"I really am a lucky bastard…" as the hand he was carrying the knife with was still shaking and sweating in nervousness...

Black Wind, White Lotus
In this world, there are haves and have nots. The former are pureblooded humans, some of whom are capable of manipulating qi, the mysterious energy that flows through every living creature, to miraculous results that defy the laws of nature and physics. Wen Feili was one such cultivator. However, she allied with the have nots- the anthropomorphic hybrids incapable of channeling qi-and dabbled in forbidden demonic arts, seeking to change the very composition of reality. This did not end well for her, and she was consumed by her own flames. A decade later, far in the northwestern mountains, her daughter Wen Fengli is working as a lowly servant of the minor Shuangshan sect. In between sweeping the floor and avoiding bullies, she secretly trains with a wooden sword, hoping to become a warrior cultivator at some point in the future. However, since she's part-human, part-wolf, it's just a pipe dream. ....or so she bitterly thought. However, one day a mysterious amulet that belonged to her mother falls into her hands. A deranged old master, a terrible conspiracy, a mysterious past? None of that matters to tomboyish wolfgirl, who only seeks to become stronger. She embarks on a journey of adventure and self-discovery, towards the mysterious southern lands where pure demi-humans are said to live...as spectre of war once again envelops the world of man. This is a Chinese-themed fantasy story set in a fictional world. You can classify it as xianxia, if you wish, but it's a rather low fantasy variant; the heavenly realm is silent, no one reached immortality in generations, and magical artifacts of old are locked away and feared. Magical beasts and spirits have been driven to the corners of civilisation, and "ordinary" abilities such as flying or controlling swords through telekinesis are considered spectacular feats. The main plot of this book revolves around a kemonomimi girl who seeks power, no matter the cost. This story also features multiple character pov, and will not always follow the perspective of the mc- there are two major plotlines, one connected to conspiracy and war ongoing in the political background of the presented world, and the other focusing on the main character's physical and metaphorical journey. Code Reader Kagami (LitRPG)
Sometimes things happen in this world that we are not in control of. Sometimes we are to a certain degree, and sometimes we are completely in control. However, this is a tale that constantly questions those boundaries. The story follows Kagami, a young programmer, as he winds up in a world almost alien to him. If it were up to him, he would have never visited this world and would rather stay raising his young daughter. Was it through his own actions that he had wound up here? Was it due to several combinations of factors? Or was it something he completely chose. These are questions that constantly haunt Kagami’s mind as he wanders this world and ponders his actions. Unfortunately, the glaring truth of it all refuses to ever look him in the eyes. Each night as he looks up at the night sky, he wonders if the end of this would turn out like the game he made. A tale of Guts and Glory… or would it turn out like he fears, a tale of blood and tears. Regardless of how it turns out, he will one day unveil the truth enshrouding it all. And perhaps in doing so, unveil the fate of his old world, enshrouded by mystery. ___________________________________________________________________________ While this is a typical Isekai started by the infamous truck-kun, the story is most definitely not what is to be taken at face value. I love making tragic twists into these types of stories. For Code Reader Kagami, you'll begin to see a descent into psychological madness. As your hero changes entirely from the moral man he initially was. If you're not a fan of dark aspect stories, this one is not for you. Thank you~
