The following days were very stressful for Yuki, to the point that he couldn't eat or sleep properly as his mind went on mode overload and kept thinking like a crazy person about every possible thing he could do to change his fate that appeared to be set in stone with big fat DEATH written on it…

And in this particular noon of the anticipated day that was going to show if his story was going to end or continue for another chapter, Yuki's appearance could only be described as miserable. His hair was messy with some strands of it in many parts of the room clearly he was pulling it from the stress he was feeling.

His eyes had huge dark circles around them from the lack of sleep, and if he was in another world where demi-humans existed, he will probably be welcomed as a demi panda…

But if someone could push their willpower to the limits and avert their eyes from his face, they would notice that his nails were all gone, and the reason for that is the same action he was doing right now without even realizing it. Yuki was approaching the window that overlooked the outside of the apartment while nervously biting his nails…

"Who's that, is someone talking to me?" muttered Yuki like a drug dealer hiding from the cops while looking at the outside of his room sneakily, but then he saw nothing and his eyes started burning from the bright sun so he quickly closed the curtains and sat on the corner of the room, just in case so that no one can attack him from behind…

"There's nothing huh… heh must be my imagination" muttered Yuki with a silly smile on his face before it suddenly turned into a nervous one as he muttered "What's if it's not my ima-ma-magination" and so he was about to stand up and check the outside again but his phone suddenly started ringing at this point causing his heart to almost leap out of his chest

*ring* *ring* *ring*

"Who the fuck calls this early in the morning…" Yuki was really angry at whoever was startling him when it was still only 'noon' and when he picked up the phone, he actually found out that it was Ashiya so he asked him directly "What's up, any news about Maou?"

Ashiya who is currently outside started whispering on the phone "Yes, as predicted, Maou is going on a date this afternoon with his co-worker Chiho in the Shinjuku underground mall, I'm going to help him pick up some clothes since I can't let my lord present himself badly in his first date and then we will follow them their okay?"

"Sure, call me when you are done, I will inform Emilia so that she makes her preparations…, Dear neighbor let's do our best" Replied Yuki with determination in his voice that moved Ashiya's heart 'Maybe this kid isn't that bad after all' thought Ashiya as a tear almost fell from his eye…

If only he knew what Yuki was thinking to himself 'Hehehe, of course we will go together, you will be my demon shield in case of emergencies'

"Okay, we will do our best" Replied Ashiya with the same heartfelt tone and he hung up the phone…

"Time to call Emilia" Muttered Yuki, he got her number the day she spent the night with him, and they talked sometimes after that about any updates in the situation, and she told him that the next day she was threatened while at work, probably by the same person that attacked her along with Maou, and Yuki told her that they probably had her purse, that's where they got her work contact from so she will most likely find it once they find their attacker which got her angry and fired up…

But at the same time, he started thinking that maybe they knew she stayed the night with him and might target him and use him as a hostage or something which was the reason why he passed the final day stressed out thinking that the future might change and he won't be able to accomplish his task…

Emilia works as a call center agent, so basically she answers the phone for a living, and right now she was at work when her personal phone started ringing and she immediately noticed that the caller was Yuki so she picked it up quickly.

"Hello Yuki, I'm at work right now, can you call me again later?" said Emilia with an apologetic voice, but Yuki's next words made her forget completely about her work "Emi, Maou's going on a date later in the afternoon in the Shinjuku underground mall, and it matches the time you leave work, today and because it's close to where you work and you leave home from that station, I believe that this is the place the prophecy mentioned where the attack is supposed to happen so be prepared, I will come with Ashiya when Maou start heading there okay?"

"Wait this is too much information to process. That bastard Maou is actually going on a date, he must have tricked this poor girl, I will make sure to save her, see you later" replied Emilia and hung up the phone leaving Yuki speechless…

"Seriously, is this what concerns you…" Yuki couldn't help but shake his head at this, but then he remembered how unlike him, these people spent their whole lives in wars fighting for their lives and the lives of masses behind them… so their lives being at risk was a normal occurrence to them…

"I should really readjust my mentality to what is normal and what is not…" Said Yuki while letting out a sigh, before he started preparing himself mentally and checked everything he needed for the first task which was to catch Lucifer and Olba in the act and get evidence of it, and for that, he was obviously going to use his phone which was fully charged for this moment…

"Everything is ready, now I can only wish for the best…" muttered Yuki as he mimicked Ashiya and started praying for a higher power wishing for salvation, yet no holly aura could emanate from his ghostly face 'I still have a long way to go to master hypocrisy like that guy…' thought Yuki as he closed his eyes and waited for Ashiya to call him…

(3 hours later)

Yuki's phone finally started ringing again and this time it was only a message from Ashiya that said "Meet me in the Shinjuku station in 15 minutes"

"Roger" replied Yuki as he thought 'Finally' and his nervous eyes started gaining determination and craziness, the same craziness that appeared on his face when he was bullied! So, he quickly stood up and started running to the Sasazuka station….

15 minutes later, Yuki and Ashiya were standing at the intersection inside the Shinjuku underground mall that overlooked the coffee shop that Chiho chose for her date with Maou. They were carefully spying on them so as to not alert them, and not long after, Emilia who just left from work also joined them and seeing Chiho looking happily with Maou, she couldn't help but feel like it was her responsibility as a Hero to stop that girl from hurting herself by getting close to these demons so she quickly said to Yuki "Let's go inside, I need to stop that demon from whatever he wants to do to that poor girl"

But Ashiya was quick to refute her as he said "No, this is a misunderstanding … my lord doesn't have a single evil intention towards that girl"

Emilia held Ashiya by the collar as she angrily said "You bastard, what kind of demon lord doesn't have evil intentions?"

Ashiya quickly said "No, hear me out please… doesn't this bother you at all? I can't believe how such an insolent human girl thinks that she deserves to be with my lord but it's obvious that she has emotions for him…

Emilia shot him a disgusted look as she replied "Why? you want it to bother me?" but then she turned to look at Chiho that was blushing while talking to Maou and started judging her with her woman eyes " I don't understand how such a cute girl is attracted for your good for nothing lord"

"Hey don't call my lord that way" Said Ashiya but Emilia ignored him and said "But I can tell from the trendy dress she's wearing and the fresh haircut and the new boots, this girl has clearly fallen for that idiot"

"How can you tell all of these details?" asked Ashiya surprised by how keen her observation was but Emilia simply shrugged and said "Well I guess as a man you can't tell these things, look qt how her dress is screaming I'm young and available and how form-fitting it is to emphasize her GIAN- damn those are huge"

"What?" Asked Ashiya clueless at what she meant and Emilia quickly replied in embarrassment "Nothing you pervert" and was about to shoot Yuki that was silent all this time a look and see if he was looking at her differently but he wasn't there… "huh? where's Yuki?"

Muttered Emilia and when Ashiya heard her, he couldn't help but look in surprise to where Yuki was standing but he wasn't there

"Don't tell me… he's finally showing his ghostly powers…"Ashiya started getting nervous thinking that his neighbor was really a ghost, but then his phone suddenly beeped startling him even more and when he checked it out, he found that it was a message from Yuki saying 'Sorry emergency, I was so nervous and my stomach started acting up, don't embarrass me with Emilia'

Ashiya let out a sigh of relief as he muttered "So it's only that kind of emergency huh, well I guess it's understandable for him to leave like that"

Emilia couldn't hold her curiosity back anymore so she asked him "What's wrong Ashiya, is everything okay with Yuki?"

Ashiya thought about it for a second remembering Yuki's word saying not to embarrass him before he smiled warmly at her and said "Oh he said he was so nervous that he started shitting himself while standing beside us and had to do a quick tactical retreat before he completely paints the whole corridor in-"

"Stop you bastard, you don't have to say anymore, let's go in for now" said Emilia with a disgusted face and if Yuki was here, he would've killed Ashiya a thousand times for the embarrassment he caused him…

But Ashiya was only thinking with a smug smile 'Sorry Yuki, I simply can't forget how you tricked me twice and the embarrassment I had to deal with as my lord looked at me in disappointment'

Meanwhile, as this idiot was staining his image with a pile of shit. Yuki actually walked around the station while they were talking to enter the shop that was opposite the one Maou was at because this is where he suspected Lucifer or Olba were staying…

And thankfully he wasn't wrong, because the moment he entered, he noticed a tall bald man and a young teenager with long black hair enjoying their food while watching Maou interact with Chiho with cold looks in their eyes…

A coldness that only intensified when they saw Emilia and Ashiya entering the shop too…
