《MY Life In The Multiverse》Chapter 65: Winning the bet | Hilda vs Emilia

After determining that the next attack would be the finishing blow, Sai saw how Yuki's sword was illuminated by a dark blue aura different from his dark pink aura before they both slashed each other at the same time. However, to his surprise, Yuki's attack didn't end there because, at the same instant, his hands moved at a terrifying speed resulting in two more slashes!
"No way!" Yelled Sai as his first attack was blocked by Yuki's first sword strike and he was directly hit by the next two sudden attacks which sent him flying before he crashed into the wall…
Thankfully for him, he wasn't taking this fight completely seriously and kept some demonic aura covering his body and the swords were only wooden swords which is why he survived, but he still ended up coughing blood despite the attack not landing on vital parts of his body…
"There's always a way…" Replied Yuki eerily before he said "You lost the bet!"
"This… fine, I shall accept it as my loss" said Sai, and Yuki was surprised seeing this man was going to actually honor his words, if it was Yuki, he would have hidden those two swords and found any excuse to ruin this bet.
"Kid what was that move you just did? What school do you hail from?" Asked Sai with his eyes shining with curiosity since he never heard or seen this technique before despite his family's vast knowledge regarding sword arts
"Oh, this technique is called dark slash, only super amazing people like me can do it and I hail from the Ente Isla sword school" replied Yuki leaving Sai speechless since he never heard of such a place.
'Probably a new school...' thought Said before he said "I see… I would love to see your teachers one day" Sai was thinking that if the student was this strong while this young, the teacher must be far more incredible and he wanted to test his swords arts with such a master
"Sure sure, maybe one day, how about I get my swords first" Said Yuki eager to get those two swords, and Sai thought about it slightly before he let a sigh and said "Kid, I will have to warn you, those swords aren't easy to handle… but I think you will be fine using them"
Those two simple looking swords were demonic swords their family forged and they only sell them to those they find worthy of using them, as well as afford them… But now Yuki lucked out getting two for free!
Meanwhile, Yuki had a bad feeling hearing these words, but he nodded and thanked Sai for the heads up since he could have been a jerk and not tell him at all.
After packaging the swords for Yuki, he picked them up and said "Well, thanks for the gift old man, maybe I will visit again if I lack swords in the future hahahaha" said Yuki annoying Sai to no end before he left while Sai kept yelling from behind "Scram brat, you are not welcome here ever again" But Yuki didn't care and left with a grin on his face as a girl wearing glasses entered the shop while carrying a little kid. However, Yuki was too excited to notice her as he left happily…

The girl was an extremely attractive and beautiful young teenager with waist-length dark blue hair that was tied into loose pigtails and has bangs hanging over her forehead and blue eyes. she was wearing a simple dress and a bucket hat.
"Ahh Aoi, you are here" said Sai while thinking 'Father's going to kill me, one of those swords was meant for Aoi…'
"Father, who was that creepy looking kid?" Asked Aoi while her little brother Kota kept staring at Yuki's fading back curiously...
Sai fidgeted slightly before he said "Just an annoying customer…" Meanwhile, Aoi couldn't help but stare at her father that was acting weirdly before she thought 'Someone can cause father to act like this, that guy must be a thief or something…' and how right she was as her eyes landed on the rack that held the sword she always wanted and found them empty…
"Huh? father, did you find someone to sell those swords to!" She was surprised because not only one of them vanished, but both! Leaving her no hope in getting a proper sword in the near future…
"This…" Sai let out a sigh before he told his daughter about what happened causing a frown to appear on her face before she said "He must have used some kind of trickery, plus you didn't take him seriously which resulted in you getting caught off guard! I will make sure to get them back if I see him again in the future" She said with a cold look in her eyes but her father simply said "Sure, just don't tell you grandpa okay?"
Aoi shot her father an annoyed look before she snorted and said "Let's go Kota" Leaving Sai alone lamenting this ugly day…
…..
Meanwhile, while Yuki was celebrating getting two good swords for free, back at the Rosa Villa they had a sudden visitor, and it was none other than the angry Hilda who went directly to room 202 in search of Yuki.
'That white-haired creep and his friend said that Yuki lived in this room… But why was he telling me so happily about it? No, why is the door of their room still open and they are both sneakily watching me as if a good show's about to start' Thought Hilda who was puzzled by Ashiya's and Hanzo's behavior, but then she heard the voice of a woman singing inside the room and decided to not break the door and knocked instead
'Is this really that ghost's room, what woman would be willing to live with him…' Thought Hilda and soon after, Emilia opened the door for her and her eyes narrowed slightly
'What's a low-level demon doing here?' Thought Emilia as she sensed the demonic aura that Hilda was unconsciously releasing from her anger toward Yuki, but she didn't show it on her face, that's until she observed Hilda's body and her woman alarm started ringing when she compared it with her own "How can I help you?" she with an ugly smile

Hilda was surprised by the beauty in front of her, especially when she was expecting an annoying ghost… "I'm searching for Yuki, we have some unfinished business from yesterday and he has to pay the price for his actions!"
'Unfinished business? He didn't pay her? I KNEW IT, That bastard was playing around at night, and with a demon no less' Emilia's face was flushed red in anger as her mind kept making all kinds of stupid thoughts landing her in a never-ending rabbit hole of misunderstanding
"He's not here, little demon whore, now get the hell out of my face" said Emilia in anger before she tried to smash the door in Hilda's face, but the latter simply froze for an instant 'What did she just call me?' before her expression darkened and she stopped the door with one hand and attacked Emilia in the face with her umbrella with the other… "How dare you insult me to my face!"
Emilia easily dodged her attack before a dangerous aura started gushing out of her body scaring the two demons watching the show "And here I was thinking of sparing you for a moment" said Emilia as Hilda felt that something was wrong and barely jumped back dodging the thrust from the sword that Emilia manifested…
'What the hell is this? I can't sense any demonic aura from her… no this is the aura of light! Who's this woman?' thought Hilda but Emilia didn't give her any chance to think further as her hair turned as white as snow and they started clashing with a terrifying speed…
…
Meanwhile, a certain ghost was happily roaming the streets "dark slash is amazing, and coupled with my new swords, I might even be able to deal with Rize the way I am right now, but I better make further preparations just in case" muttered Yuki while humming happily.
His swords were already placed in his space ring, and he was glad that it didn't consume much mana to use it… But the closer he got to the Rosa Villa, the smaller his smile was getting as he could feel a demonic aura surrounding it and its neighboring houses like a barrier
'what's going on?' thought Yuki, but he easily got the answer when he entered that barrier and saw Ashiya and Hanzo watching the undergoing fight between Emilia and Hilda with popcorn in their hands and commenting from time to time...
Of course, Emilia who recovered enough magic thanks to Yuki was easily manhandling the bloodied Hilda as she kicked her away once more and didn't allow her any chance to counter-attack…
"Hey you two, what's happening here? Why are they fighting?" Asked Yuki feeling that this situation was beyond weird since Emilia appeared angry, and this was confirmed when she stared at him the moment he appeared and gave him a look that said 'your turn is coming soon'
Ashiya was happy at Yuki's misfortune and said "Well, that demon chick told Emilia that you banged her without paying and…" Before he could finish, a rock hit him squarely in the forehead sent by none other than the angry Emilia who was approaching Yuki while dragging the unconscious Hilda with her
"Wait wait wait, this is a misunderstanding, I don't know what that woman said, but we only fought yesterday" said Yuki hurriedly but Hanzo simply snickered and said "Yea, you two probably had a very fierce fight in be…" but before he could finish, he also ended up kissing a huge rock with his forehead...
"This idiot.." Muttered Yuki while staring at the probably dead Hanzo who didn't learn from Ashiya's mistake before he turned to Emilia and readied himself for any sudden attacks before he said "Emilia, what's going on?"
Emilia glared at him before she pointed at Hilda and said "I don't know, you tell me"
Yuki let out a sigh before he approached her and pinched her cheek causing her to blush slightly as he begin scolding her "First of all, tell me why did you fight her"
Emilia struggled slightly before she said "This demon said y-you didn't pay her f-for yesterday's 'b-b-business' which is why she's here… "
Yuki was angry at her 'What the hell do you think I am, a pimp?' but he ended up letting out a sigh "You idiot…" Then he explained to her what truly happened between him and Hilda and she even ended up chuckling slightly when she heard about his cruel revenge and found it was logical for Hilda to come for revenge…
"Sorry for misunderstanding you…" Apologized Emilia, before Yuki picked up Hilda and walked to their room "It's fine, as long as you don't do it again"
Meanwhile, the two demons were completely ignored as they looked at each other with tears in their eyes "Where's our apology?"
Unfortunately, the hero didn't care about them at all…

Wild Steam
Get on a train. Head east. Get on a ship. Travel further east, in style. See some wonders of the world. Find what was lost. Find where home is. How hard is any of that?Well, for Jake Ranger, pretty damned hard. The world being a wild, crazy mess from a global altering event called the Shattering doesn’t help much. Nor does being a famous folk hero. That last one really sucks, because people always run up to famous heroes and beg them for help with all their problems. Then there are the actual outlaws and monsters. They don’t help much either. Mostly they just get in the way and make everything way worse. And in a world that is so screwed up decades after the Shattering, there is a lot of variety to both outlaw and monster. Then there are the more civilized, (read: sane), non-human folk, and good old humans as well. They all get along just spectacularly. Totally best friends, on every level, for life. Of course getting to the east coast is only half the battle. Once there, he must contend with the so-called “civilized people.” Then there’s the ship ride; pirates and sea monsters are a thing too, after all. Should have read the brochure. But when the chips are down, the bad guys are winning and the wild winds of chaos are blowing, it helps to have a fighter on your side. Even if he is a little wild. After all, that’s not really a problem. That’s what beautiful women and lots of gold is for. Proper motivation is always key to success. Welcome to a Steampunk, Wild West, Victorian era, Lovecraftian infested, fantasy, shoot ‘em up world. Complete with a slow build harem of badass beautiful women, crazy adventures, and fun, monstrous villains. Welcome to the world of Wild Steam. Do enjoy your stay.

Cinder Roots (Undergoing a Rewrite)
This novel is currently undergoing a major rewrite, as I noticed several plot points that needed to be revamped. I'll leave the chapters I've posted here to anyone curious to see how everything started, but I'll be posting the rewritten story as a new novel in the future. The characters will be the same, but the journey will be more understandable and hopefully, a lot more fun to read. -------- First, everything was fire, it killed, it consumed, and it gave him life. He was just a tree, born in the biggest forest that remained in the world, full of dryads, naiads, elves and treants, but he was alone. He couldn’t see. He couldn’t talk. Curiosity plagued him. He dreamed of wandering the land, but could only wonder what stood outside the reach of his roots. The tree was tired of waiting. He decided to not just dream, but to act. How could he survive against a invading empire, a grand conspiracy that threatened to shake the foundations of the world, and the raw danger that lies within these woods? With pure determination. Warning - There are quite a few POV changes in the first chapters, but that'll change after the introduction is done, as I'll be focusing on the MC perspective only.
