"Have you yet to wake up?", Mellistar echoed in Lass's dream.
"Why? What's the hurry?", Lass replied.
"Hah. I didn't physically.", Mellistar scoffed.
"What do you mean?"
"Ah...naïve and careless for yourself, vigilant and caring for others. Worthless."
"Whatever...it's not like I'd listen to you anyway."
"You hate me and I hate you. But at the end of the day-", Mellistars words were stopped by Lass.
"We are one. I know. So next time you better watch it."
"'Watch it'? You careless moron. You should be the one to 'watch it'. You know what you did...you know what could have happened to you."
"I...I didn't know it was like...well this.", Lass averted his eyes.
"Hmph! I...I guess it's my fault as well. I told you not to overuse your powers like that-", Mellistar was interrupted by Lass.
"But you never told me why! I thought that it was just a tradeoff of power for bodily harm."
"Are you trying to sound stupid? Or are you really that stupid? This doesn't justify you overusing them to such harsh extend without prior experience!"
"Harm can come to me...not like I care. But if I was like that...if the others were near me...I could've...dammit!"
"Indeed. But I wouldn't let that happen anyway. However what you must know is this: the more intensely or heavily you use your powers without learning to optimize, the more your mental state will deteriorate during their usage. I suppose the little flying midget knows it as well. What was his name again...Yuno?", Mellistar said.
"So at that point...I accidentally overdid it completely? Because the shift was almost immediate."
"Precisely. Another thing your pathetic peasant brain needs to know is that, whenever you let your guard down and your mental state deteriorates like that it's way easier for me to come in...and when I take over...Heheh~", Mellistar chuckled.
"So if I got like this from overusing them in a single instance....prolonged exposure will be....", Lass took a second glance at Mellistar.
"Do you even know who you are dealing with?! For you to be giving someone so severely superior than you such a pitiful look, you must really have a death wish!", Mellistar folded his arms.
"It's still a given you have been using those long before me. You are more seasoned with them...but still."
"I might be season...but you are...Hah. Whatever. Get lost and wake up already, you've had enough slacking.", Mellistar looked away.
"Hmm...but...last night..."
"You feel regrets for killing even mere monsters?"
"I'm not the one who went for the kill. And I do not have regrets about it...not after what they've done."
"Then why be like this? What's done is done. The way it happens doesn't matter. A kill is a kill. Doesn't matter the way it happens, or the tool used to make it happen, rather than the end result. Two lives spar, one makes it out. Simple and effective way to end a dispute.", Mellistar chuckled.
"That's...that's not who I really am."
"Do you know who you are? Do you know what you are?"
"I..."
"Exactly. The least bit you can do is protect whatever we've got left. That is yourself. Do not trust them. Any of them. And especially her...all shall be cleared in the end. And traitors such as them, shall drop their masks. Off you go now, pet.

Abruptly woken up from his horrible nightmare, Lass was glad to be greeted by a sprite, up and ready Anya.
"Yo-yo. Big guy!", Anya nudged Lass. "Rise and shine, we gotta go! You look a little pale today..."
"Go bring me the newspaper instead, mutt.", Lass, woke up. "Alright. I'm not too late, am I?"
"Uh, not that much. You must've been beat from yesterday."
"I...yea.", Lass stuttered. Anyway, where are the others?"
"Down and waiting. We found the horses thanks to the villagers too!"
"Good.", Lass finished gearing up. "Let's go then, time is against us."
Getting down, he already found Ikarisa already on he horse and Yuno flying besides her...
"Morning Lass!", Ikarisa smile.
"Sorry I'm late...", Lass apologized
"Don't sweat it, let's just go. Delpha should be a 2 hour run from here. Luckily, we found these three lying around at the entrance of the forest, so here you go.", Yuno presented them with their horses.
"Route already planned!", Anya jumped on her horse. "Let's be off!"
Taking off a happy leave from the Hyrusa village they finally took on the meadows again, with Delpha City appearing the horizon. Cheers and waves of a celebratory goodbye were seen from all around the village as they filled their hears with determination to move forth for a brighter future. Above them all, Yuno still gazed above the Elder's house, to a tiny wave of goodbye from Lilith.
"Be seeing you, Yuno. We will keep touch, ok?", Lilith waved at Yuno and the others.
Despite the distance between the two, Yuno could still, very well realize what she had wanted to say.
"There's no way I'd lose touch with you.", Yuno waved back.
A small amount of time passed since they had exited the forest, and a faint image of Delpha was seen in the horizon
"So what up?", Anya asked Lass.
"Hmm? What's what?"
"How much of a 'nice' dream did you have for Ikarisa last night?"
"Shut it mutt!", Lass blushed. "Once we get off these horses, I'm going to kick your ass!"
"Hey not my fault big guy!", Anya chuckled. "I'm not the one to jump around and moan during my sleep!"
"What?"
"Yea no joke. You where kicking like crazy. Me and Anya asked for the other room to sleep!", Yuno said.
"Glad to see you are at least getting along..."
"U-Uh. Yea.", Yuno blushed.
"You try to touch any part of my body again when I sleep, I will end you right then and there you little shit.", Anya whispered at Yuno.
"What?! So you're calling me a pervert now?! As if I would ever care to go on with someone like you! It was your fat, thieving ass that literally crushed me! I almost chocked to death!", Yuno angrily said.
"Who did you call a thieving ass, you pervert!", Anya tightly grabbed and squeezed Yuno by the neck.
"What are you two even talking about?", Lass rolled his eyes. "Whatever. What about Risa?"
"She not only eats a lot, she sleeps no matter what happens around her. Didn't even get nudged by it. So that dream was good, huh?", Anya asked, still chocking Yuno.
"Call it...a nightmare. A horrific one...", Lass frowned.
"Guys! We're here! Wow...look at this!", Ikarisa excitedly said, pointing at Delpha City.
Having finally reached Delpha after their adventures in Kaci our heroes finally found themselves into a scenario much different that they're used to. Bright neon lights, busy city streets filled with all sorts of iron clads and massive screens everywhere, illuminating commercials of all sorts. Truly a sight of the future itself.

"Oh wow...so this is the City of Wonders? It's...busy.", Lass said.
"Not bad!", Anya said as she released Yuno from her grip. "Never could bring myself to be here, but always hear stories about it. Still, it's nice to see where store supply comes from!"
"Holy hell...", Yuno gasped and coughed. "Thank god this is the city neon lights! I thought I really was heading towards the light myself!"
As they where taking in city a man, being scared half to death and in a hurry driving a car almost ran them over.
"God, what the hell is wrong with all ya kids?! Don't you clearly see the hover car road in front of ya?! And don't just stand around! They're coming!", the man said in a hurry.
"Well sorry we not from around here.", Lass clamed everyone down.
"Yea no kidding you're not! What are you even doing here?"
"We're here for a job.", Lass said.
"Yea, but it's a really important job! We can't delay it any longer! Could you please point us to the head of the city?"
"Well aren't y'all unlucky to be having a job in this hellhole. Get outta here or get cover! The streets will be empty in a flash so either get away or stay down!"
The man then quickly shifted gears and sped away as if he was being chased.
"Why all this ruckus? Don't remember the citizens being so...volatile. Usually when I call in for supplies everyone takes their time and is calm as a river.", Anya took her thinking pose.
"Maybe they changed their ways?", Ikarisa asked.
"Lass, I'm getting some weird vibes from this.", Yuno looked around.
"Me too...all the things this man said do point somewhere around conflict happening."
"Let's keep cool. For now it's not like we're actively threatened. We need to find more on the matter first.", Anya said.
"Yes...but...where did everyone go all of a sudden?", Ikarisa said.
Before the even realized, the so called busy city streets where completely emptied in an instant.
"This is getting...too quiet. Where did everyone go?", Lass anxiously said.
Before Lass could finish his sentence, another man in a cloak came out of the corner with a ton of girls following behind him.
"Oh ma god, so handsome!"
"He looked at me! He looked at me!"
"No you moron, back off he looked at me first!"
"I want him right now!"
"Give me your babies!"
The fangirls all yelled across the streets.
"For the love of god, please, someone make them shut the hell up. Listen! You need to get to cover like everyone else!", the man turned around and told the girls.
"You look like you could use a hand.", Lass scoffed.
"I give you full authority to perform any action besides murder, please help.", the man said.
"Heheh.", Anya cracked her knuckles. "This is gonna be fun."
Anya skillfully dashed around the giant mob of fangirls and grabbed items, gold and other things alike. She then proceeded to drop them in a huge truck.
"Hey! Want to prove your loyalty to him?! All the number one fan items are in here! Go get 'em!"
The mad mob of fangirls then began to run after the truck that Anya tossed all the items in.
"Wow. For a second there I really thought you where going to beat them down...how did you switch to finding a non-lethal alternative?", Lass asked Anya.
"Thought of it for a little second, but making them run around town like a bunch of chickens chasing after that truck will be more amusing.", Anya shrugged.
"Ok, fair.", Lass said.
"Kinda cruel...", Yuno said.
"Did you say anything, you little pervert?", Anya showed her fist.
"Oh for the love of-If you call me a pervert again, I'm gonna kick your sorry ass back into Reingard!", Yuno angrily said.
"Alright enough you guys...you there, sir. Are you alright?", Ikarisa approached the man.
"Thank you so so much...these mad morons are getting worse by the second. I'm Riko, head of the police department of the city Delpha or DCPD. A detective if you will. Pleasure to meet you."
"What exactly is going on here? Why is Delpha in such a state of absolute chaos and why did this girls chase after you?"
"Wait, you seriously don't know? For months now Delpha has been under the control of general Kagh. He overthrew the entire ministry of the city and publicly executed them all members, taking their place. Looking at you all you seem to be from the Reingard area...let me guess. You're some sort of ambassadors send to check on the alliance between the two cities?"
"Woah, you're fast.", Anya said.
"It's my job."
"And what about the fangirls?", Lass asked.
"Well, these mad morons where initially fans of our city, or I should say Riza's Idol Queen. But ever since he came up to the throne, Kagh commanded the tracking and elimination of all supporters of the ministry and unfortunately, our idol was one of them, so she disappeared before she could be found. Her supporters also meant that Kagh wanted them dead. And after the city was divided in a civil war with citizens and police on one hand, and military force on the other I had to take a major role in it.", Riko facepalmed. "Unfortunately, when we saved those fangirls they latched on to me like glue...and I'm now their 'star'."
"Damn, never expected such an unruly turn in such organized city...", Yuno said.
"Wait, if he was after supporters of the idol and ministry, weren't you one?", Lass asked.
"Yes but due to my position as the head of the DCPD I was well protected as I was one of the most neutral ones. It was the counselors and other high class nobles who paid the price instantly. And before he could be off with the heads of DCPD we revolted with the people."
"Sounds a bit weird to me.", Yuno folded his arms.
"And what are you doing out here then? Shouldn't you be hiding or something?", Anya asked.
"Yea, but I'm searching for that idol...you see, she's also a childhood friend of mine as well. And the only one who can shine a bit for us in this hell.", Riko looked at her picture. "I just have to convince her to use her voice for this one...believe me, it's not simple singing, there's much more to it. And I also want to finally catch some sleep so I'm hopping she will take these crazy fans back with her...", he whispered.
"That's so sad...any ideas on where she could be?", Ikarisa looked at the picture.
"Last time she was at the city square. But that's currently a war zone between rebels and Kagh's sick bastards of an army. Hard to think people would support him honestly."
"Got it, we'll start from there!", Anya moved ahead.
"Normally I'd be against sidetracking, but I can't let others suffer...not like this. However...everyone, take out your weapons and be on constant guard. These types of civil wars are the worst of their kind. And we're heading directly into the eye of the storm.", Lass prepared.
They thanked Riko for the intel and told him to go back into hiding while our heroes where going search for that idol. Once they reached the city square they realized that they had indeed stepped into a war zone of an ongoing clash between rebels and the army, as hell was spread throughout the dimly lit and bombed city square. Not before long after they stepped from the sides, a clash between opposing forces started to unveil...
"Perfect timing. On your guard everyone!", Lass dashed in.
"They're...not monsters...", Ikarisa stuttered.
"It's ok my goddess. You can stay back! We will handle it!", Yuno said as he flew to aid Lass.
"N-No! I won't! I'll help Lass and everyone!", Ikarisa snapped out.
"Corruption and chaos...this is it! Hell yea!", Anya said as she revved up her chainsaw.
The soldiers were also quick to join them in their rush.
"Charge!"
"Wait! There are civilians in there!"
"We can't hold back now! The charge has already started, we back out now we're dead!"
"Do or die!"
They all bravely faced the rush from the enemy side.
"Hmm. Follow the flow of combat, charge according to their positions and follow their lead!", Lass yelled at everyone.
"Looks like you've gotten a grasp into things...", Yuno said.
"Of course her would, you midget.", Mellistar echoed.
Both Ikarisa and Anya where quick to respond. "Got it!"
As soon as those words were spoken, the first bullets started to fly, and the hard steel began to clash, as everyone engaged in a desperate attempt to repel the corrupt military's force.
Lass morphed excelsior into a spear and threw it into a tank, turning at Yuno to take lead. "Outta my way! Yuno, you're up!"
"I got it!", Yuno snapped his finger and reclaimed the flying spear.
"Useless!", Lass used his powers, creating Obsulyte infused weapons and cutting down the whole tank.
Watching from the side, Anya was stunned. "What the...nice! You go big guy!"
"Hah. It's nothing."
"This got me all riled up! Let's go!", Anya started to carve a straight line with her chainsaw, right through the enemy's forces.
"My turn.", Yuno chuckled. "For these weaklings, one slash is all it'll take!", he cut down an entire bastion.
And through the battlefields thick dust, the cheers of the rallying soldiers kept coming through...
"Woah! These guys are nice!"
"Watch out! They're releasing monster troops!"
Ikarisa jolted. "Monsters?! I-I've got this!", she stuttered as she stepped in. "Abyss from the sky!"
In a pinch, Ikarisa overused her creation powers and rained hell with a slew of different weapons upon the enemy's monster troops, taking them out in a flash.
"What the hell?! They're gone in an instant!"
Ikarisa stuttered. "M-Maybe I've gone too far?", she whispered.
"Damn these bastards! They've got new weapons!"
"Don't slow down now! Victory is almost ours!"
Lass stepped in. "Risa! Cover me! Anya, let's go!"
"A-Alright, leave it to me!", Ikarisa created a pathway for them to go through. "You're clear Senpai! Do your best!"
Anya bumped Lass. "I've been waiting for this!" she smirked. "Ready?!"
"Ready as ever!", Lass smirked back.
"Combo time!", they both shouted.
Lass and Anya started to run across all over the enemy side of the battlefield, Lass deflecting incoming fire while Anya mowed flesh and metal alike with her chainsaw. And in fear of defeat, the response to their actions was most appropriate.
"Screw this! Fire the missiles! Condensed area!"
"Fire them inside the city?!"
"You think we've got a choice?!"
"What?!", Lass paused upon hearing them.
"Damn...we can't stop it that fast!", Anya brushed off.
"Now, fire!"
The smog filled sky started to lit up, as blazes of falling missiles started to menacingly fly towards them...
