《Journey to Another World.... because of my Neighbour》Chapter 20: Evolution

Our Training went on for more than a week. In between, I was also working at the Magic Guild and helping Tulip out with translations and understanding of ancient texts. She also helped me with some common sense about Mages and magic in general. As for Iris, she was out hunting. Luna was always with me, most people didn't bat an eye at her. Some people would ask what kind of bird it was but didn't probe too much.
I had run into Eleric once but he turned around immediately and ran away. That seemed too excessive but then I found out that he had sent a request to Assassin's Guild but was denied because after monitoring me Assassin's Guild found out my Level was not low, even though I was so young and then me being a Space Mage. They thought I had an extremely powerful background. So the price of the assassination was enough to turn away Eleric.
Of course, it wasn't as if Eleric didn't have money to pay. Just that if he's going to use this much money to kill someone then what might their Level be? Thus he had misunderstood because of the price that I'm above Level 80 or something.
As for Levels, I needed 250,000 Exp for the next Level Up. I did have some leftovers from last time as well so I actually needed less. I was going to the Dungeon today for this reason.
I had already become good at handling my Skills. And since I would be going to higher floors. I had asked Flora to come with me. While Tulip and Iris would be in danger on higher floors if it's just me, with Flora it shouldn't be much problem.
After 4 days spent in Dungeon, we finally reached floor 35. The reason to come to this floor was very particular.
There were a lot of Adventures here as well, probably for the same reason. The reason was that mobs were Undead Golam. The reason everyone came to this floor even though it was extremely hard to get here, was these monsters. An Undead Golam was an extremely powerful monster. But it had a weakness or a weakness that was too much. Bulldozing damage. They had extremely high HP and defense because of being a Golam and had magic resistance so high that you wouldn't even be able to scratch it with magic. As for its undead property, it could simply revive itself. A very troublesome monster. Unless you just beat it with a war hammer. The Exp it gave was truly high. That was the reason so many people were here. The Exp, here you can kill a less dangerous enemy and get lots of experience. Of course, with my Strength being close to 4,000 I was able to Kill these things with just punches. And finally.
{You've Reached Level 50}
{Class Evolution will now start}
{Mage(Space & Ice) has evolved to Master Magician (Space & Ice)}
{Class Demon King has declined its Evolution.}
{As Compensation a new Class can be acquired}
{Please choose a class

1. Dark Hero
2. Seer
3. Mage of Old
4. Ancient Assassin
5. Beast Tamer
}
Well, I didn't expect this at least. I was hoping for something like True Demon King or something. But as it is I suppose I can get myself a new class. So I told Flora about it and asked which class is the best. She was surprised for a moment but then replied after using her Artefact that get's us in a separate space.
"Usually if a class doesn't evolve you get compensation by getting a new Unique skill. Getting a new Class is quite rare. But I'm just so surprised by the options you've there. For a normal person, each class is a treasure. Dark Hero is a famous class in Demons. Many Demons wish for it. But with you being Demon King, it's not that impressive. Seer is usually found in Elves or Mystic Beasts' Mystic Fox tribe. While not good for battles and stuff it's a useful Class as well. Mage of Old is the class in the 'Of Old' series. This series of Classes are usually more powerful than normal ones but there is one series which tops these classes. The Ancient series. So I'd say your best bet is Ancient Assassin. Beast Tamer is just evolved class of Monster Tamer so not that important."
After thinking a bit about Seer, I thought to choose it. After all, I already had good battle-type classes. But Flora interpreted.
"Also Ancient series is so rare that if you choose Ancient Assassin, you'd probably be the only alive person to possess it. "
My collection instincts kicked in at this point. If it's this rare. I gotta have it. So I chose Ancient Assassin.
{Class: Ancient Assassin acquired}

This looked quite calming. You know when you reach level 50 in a game. I know it's not a game but still. The reason I came here was because of this. And if I'm being honest then the 'not a game' part makes me even happier.
Ancient Assassin didn't seem to have powerful skills right now, but according to Flora. "You're comparing things with your god-like build. For a normal Assassin, 108 Poison Knowledge comes so late. They only get 24 Poison Knowledge at the beginning and even at Master Assassin, they'll get 72 Poison Knowledge so I'd say it's pretty good. Other skills are common for Assassins"
"So, do I need to become an Assassin now? Like, kill people or something?" I asked her.
"I hope you're kidding, just go register with the Thief Guild. They work with these kinds of Classes. Usually, these are used for scooting purposes. Or you can join the Military, they have an Assassin Organization where you can actually become an assassin. But I'll advise against it. "
Well, that's the plan. But I'll probably do it later. Right now we needed to go back to our inns. While I could just use Gate and get us all out of here. There were too many people here and I also want to Fight the boss of this floor.
Undead Golems had two lives so we actually would need to beat them twice. We had to wait our turn for the boss since a lot of people were challenging it.
"Hey, isn't that our Guild master? Has she joined a party?"
While fighting most people didn't look at others much. And this floor was quite wide with a lot of cuts so it was easier to stay away from others and fight. So only now that we've stopped outside Boss Room to wait were people noticing us.
A short girl, who looked about 14 years old came toward us.
"Aye, you're the guild master, aren't you?" She had an accent, so she probably wasn't from around here. With Language Comprehension I could understand the languages but because this was a different world and these were all different languages. Accents were a little hard. Like I could tell it was an accent but what kind I would not.
"Yes, and you might be?"
"I'm Riri el Margaret ni Vensova Dimitri"
Flora looked a little surprised so I used True Demon Eye on her to appraise her.
{Name: Riri el Margaret ni Vensova Dimitri
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Title(s): [Prodigy] [Princess of Dimitri Kingdom]
Level: 38
Class: [Dungeon Diver] [Illusionist]
Job: [Explorer (Rank-C)] [Royalti (Princess)] [Lady (Milasa City)]
Skills: [Auto-Mapping] [Trap Deduction] [Geomancy] [Truth and Lies] [Daydreaming (Tier IV)] [Exp Buff (2x) ]... [Royal Order (Tier II)]}
Looks like it was a good idea to read about nearby Kingdoms and Empires. The Dimitri Kingdom was Just south of Makkara Kingdom. But to go there you need to circle the Forest of Lake Dragon. So through the city of Zuran. Which was actually the city I did not go to... Well on my first day in this world. When I've seen two cities, I went to Lough, the other one was Zuran.
"My humble welcome to the beautiful princess Riri, I'm quite surprised to find you here," Flora said with a curtsey that you'd hardly believe we were in a dungeon.
"Oh, stop that noble talk. Just talk as usual. We're more of an Explorer and Adventurer meeting than Royalty and Mobility. I was just exploring it after coming here a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to meet you after I come out but to my surprise found you here. " She then looked at a few people in the back and said "That's my party over there. We found a secret passage to the secret Boss Room on the 25th floor last week and wanted to report it to the Adventurer Guild. I would report to the Explorer Guild but since you're also the Nobility and would probably be better to handle this so that's that."
Secret Boss Rooms were Spacial Rooms where a powerful enemy of a higher level is found and these rooms are always hidden away. If you beat the Secret Boss you'll get yourself a big reward and an entry to the higher floor directly.
According to Riri, this Secret Boss was an Elder Lich of Level 60 and they had to run from it. While you can't run from Boss Rooms, secret Boss Rooms have a Hidden lever that can open the door again and let you leave. It's usually extremely Hard to do.
"Well, good to know. I myself don't talk too politely" Flora said politely "I'll have to contact you outside the dungeon for the secret passage. An Elder Lich of Level 60 would need a 6-person balanced party at Level 55 or above to beat so I'm glad you were able to get out of there. "
That sounded quite strong. At that point, the Boss Spawned again and we entered the Boss Room.
{Greater Undead Golam has spread Thick Miasma in the room. Due to the Skill [Maisma Absorption] your Mana Recovery Rate has increased to 140%. }
While this enemy also had the same weakness. We needed to be more careful now.
"Iris, protect Tulip. Tulip fire of Stone Bullets at it and distract it. Flora from the front and I'll go from its back"
Flora had told me to act as the leader of the party so that I can gain experience in being a leader and know how to command. She'll step in if there's something deadly though.
The Golems didn't have much Intelligence. It was true for this one too. So while Flora fought it head on. Dodging its strikes and hitting it on its lower body with a battle ax. While it was also getting distracted by the stone Bullets on its face. At that moment I went behind it and used the War- Hammer that I'd borrowed from Flora on the Golam's head. Before It could react I hit it again and then. We killed it with that.

Raven: The Beginning
'What's the worst that could happen'? is what I thought to myself as I entered the World of the Veil with a new, experimental machine that the company created. I was originally excited to participate in their alpha test, and now, looking back, I was just a naive little girl that didn't know what it was like to truly suffer. Sarah was one of the world's best assassin players, but she wasn't prepared for getting stuck as a low-level player in a new game. Suddenly she has to struggle just to survive against the monsters of the world, while also keeping her secret from the authorities. What happens when the killing, and the consequences, are just too real? Author's Note (and a Warning): This book is about a normal person that is forced into a fantasy / medieval environment. What could possibly go wrong with our heroine? This novel is a sort of, legacy. I wanted to at least put it out there before I passed away due to a combination of financial difficulty, homelessness, job loss, and my last interview taking up the last of my savings (which I did not get the job). If by some miracle, and I get a job that can give me a pay advance by next week (4/8) and I survive this turbulent time, I will edit this - and the formating of the book). If you are so willing, please donate on my patreon page. Regards, Dave
