Chapter 63: Hello Father
Zen waited anxiously and as if Shibi was feeding from that was zipping around the water elementist temple floor.
“Master Wang.”
Zen got up as the old water elementist came nearer.
“Your father has answered from the other side.”
“Really!” Zen said in excitement. He stepped before the pond and the water in the pond rose up and formed a disk. An image in the water solidified and a demon face made of black iron was staring at Zen.
“Wang Zen, you better have a good reason for summoning me.” The voice behind the iron mask vibrated.
“Apologies father,” Zen said. “I just wanted to inform you that I received the gift…”
“Gift?”
“The training dummy.” Zen said.
“Oh?”
“Yes, thank you, Father.” Zen bowed low.
“Alright, if that is all…” he was already turning away, giving the signal to end the communication.
“Father wait!”
The man stopped and faced his son.
“Father… I was wondering if I could come home for some time… or at least for the coming holi…”
“No.”
“But…”
“No. Coming home should be something that is earned, especially for you. What did you call my package to you? A gift? I assure you son, it’s not a gift. It is a measure I have taken in light of your recent failures.”
“But father, I am a good close quarters fighter.” Zen said.
“Any proof on that? Any duels you’ve won?”
Zen opened and shut his mouth.
“Exactly,” he said. “I’m always listening for news on you son, which lately, getting news of you has not been very difficult. So before you ask to come home, ensure that we want you home.”
The image ended and the water dropped back into the pond, leaving Zen there alone with all the water elementists.

Zen was walking marching through the town. Everyone turned their heads to look at him as he passed by, they could clearly feel the violent energy emanating from the boy. All he could see was red as he walked into the campus grounds. His teeth gritted in anger.
Zen could not help about how humiliated he felt. Not only had his father said those mean things but he did it in front of complete strangers. Not only on his side but he was sure that he did not bother to privatise the conversation on his side, so other water elementists also heard the conversation.
Mostly he had grumbled incorporable words and ramblings as he stormed towards his dorm but then three words became clear. “I hate him.”
He whispered it but he could clearly hear it.
”I hate him,” he said again, as if to make sure he had heard himself correctly. “I hate him!” His anger spiked up and Shibi ooked in surprise before jumping away from his shoulder. Zen was too angry to even notice. “I HATE HIM!”
His breathing was short almost as if he had ran a mile but he was erupting with energy. He knew how he could really fix this problem.
“A measure, huh?” he said, knowing what he would do. He would completely destroy the mannequin!
