Chapter 138: Wang vs Wang
Wang Ton tried to bash Wang Zen with the shield but his son blocked it, sliding back on the marble floor before coming to a stop.
“Shibi, away!” Zen commanded.
“But…”
“Now!”
The combination of his anger and the killing intent imitting from him scared Shibi from his shoulders with no further objections.
Zen tried to wrench the shield from his father’s arm but serated teeth flicked out of the shiled’s rim. Zen shrieked away, his hands having been stabbed. Wang Ton followed with a viscious kick that sent Zen flying back and into the glass doors that spread a web of cracks from the point of impact.
Zen looked up to see his father barrelling down on him with his shield forward. He stepped on the door and launched himself over his father, landing behind him, not that it mattered because Wang Ton was already turning to face him. Balls of light flashed before a blue iron shaft spear appeared in his hand.
Zen charged forward and had to stop when the point of the spear atopped inches from his crooked nose. Zen’s father moved forward, his spear shooting out in a blur. The boy kept stepping back, barely dodging the spear point. He stepped back onto the green lawn, each time he tried to get away but his father kept him within striking range.
Zen was getting nervous. He did not know how long he could keep from barely getting skewered. The spear pierced his shirt, threading into it like an oversized needle. Using the spear, his father hoisted him from the ground and over his head only to slam him hard on the ground.
The spear twisted as Wang Ton pulled it back, ripping a hole in Zen’s shirt. He had to roll out of the way as the spearhead planted itself on the ground he was lying on a moment ago. Stepping onto the spear, Zen prevented his father from withdrawing it. Launching up, he threw a fist at Ton’s exposed face but all his fist ultimately met was the circular shield.
Ton pushed him away and a spear sped for Zen’s face while he was airbourne. Zen leaned back as the spear passed just millimetres above his head. He landed on his back and rolled to his feet before leaping away.
Zen glared at his father as he produced his storage stone. Touching it, he summoned the Zen Blade to his hand.

Ding Wu and Yin Bhiki rushed in, having heard the commotion. Jao and the two Red Dragon Sect also came out.
“Masters,” Yin Bhiki said, “Please don’t do this!”
“Stay out of this! All of you!” Wang Ton said. “I need to teach my son a few lessons of his place in this household.”
Zen’s breathing got heavier. “TEACH ME!” He said charging at him.
Zen had to stop as the spear came for him again. His eyes widened because it seemed his attacks were faster. One hit him in the shoulder and the other on the hip. He side stepped one of the thrusts, the spear cutting his cheek. He was able to get close and use his sword, it was rebounded by the shield. They continued to fight close up as they bounced around the yard.
“No! He’s too close!” Yin Bhiki said. “There’s no way he can dodge one of those spear strikes from that ddistance!”
“He is actually at the best distance.”
Yin Bhiki looked at Ding Wu in confusion.
“The spear is a mid range weapon.” Ding Wu explained. “So young Master Wang is staying close where the spear’s effectiveness is slashed to almost nothing.”
Although Zen was safe from the spear he still could not overcome the shield. The spear dropped on the ground as Zen pushed on.
“I can’t believe it! The young master was able to disarm him!” Ding Wu said.
“No,” Ding Wu said. “Master Wang dropped his spear on purpose.”
“What?” Ding Wu narrowed his eyes. “Why?”
Zen made a hacking motion and his father was able to stop him by grabbing his wrist. Cream white ki burst out, engulfing both Wangs.
“You… are as stupid as your brother.” Wang Ton spat.
Zen found that he could not move once the ki had covered him. Then they began to spin, their motion whipping the ki into a spinning vortex.
“Tornado Throw!” Wang Ton shouted before the vortex stopped and all the momentum was transferred to Zen who was sent hurtling across the yard and into the glass doors, causing an explosion as he landed.
Old man Jao and the Red Dragon Sect dignitaries covered their faces from the flying glass and debris that rained down on them.
“Wang Ton, what is the meaning of this?” Jao shouted. “How can you treat your boy like this?”

Wang Ton looked unperturbed as he craned his neck from one side to the other. He turned, heading for his fallen spear but then stopped in his tracks. Everyone looked to where Zen had landed… where a great killing intent emanated.
“This kid…” Ding Wu said, breathing heavily. “He is frightnening!”
From the dark a war mannequin began walking out, Zen walked right behind it.
“Wang Ton!” Zen shouted. “I suggest you keep my brother’s name out of your dirty mouth!”
“Make me, boy.” Wang Ton said.
Zen looked at the mannequin… “Kill him.”
Man Doll rushed forward. The mannequin thrust a fist to Wang Ton who made no move to protect himself. Its wood and steel knuckles stopped centimetres from the masked man’s face.
“You are stupid if you think you can use my own weapon ag…”
Zen appeared from behind Man Doll, having leapt up.
“He used the Battle Mannequin to hide his approach!” Yin Bhiki and Ding Wu gasped.
Zen shouted as his sword sliced down for Wang Ton who blocked again with his shield. However, Zen’s attack did not end there as his leg was still coming from Ton’s unprotected side. It made contact! Wang Ton was sent flying back, his mask flying away.
Zen’s father landed on his front and his mask landed some distance away. The killing intent from Zen lessened. He found great satisfaction in kicking that mask off his face and the smirk on his face made it obvious.
Wang Ton began to stir and sat up, revealing his face for the first time. It was then that Zen’s killing intent was totally smothered as he looked at his father but saw someone else… his brother.
Wang Zen ran to his brother, as fast as his little legs could carry him. “Brofer! Brofer!”
His brother turned to him with a smile. He had on the uniform of the Red Dragon Sect.
“Is Brofer going again?” little Wang frowned.
“Yep, another assignment.” Wang Hun said, rubbing his head.
“You going to beat up bad guys!” Zen said, punching and kicking the air before falling on his butt.
“Not all of them are bad guys,” he said hoisting him up into his arms.
“But you fight dem, doesn’t that make them bad?”
“To them I might be the bad guy.” He smiled at his little brother.
“But then how does anyone know whose the bad guy?”
“Sometimes you don’t. Sometimes in a fight, its not about who is right or wrong but simply about who the winner is.”
“Wow! Big brofer knows so much about people!”
“That’s because I fight people so much.”
“I don’t understand.”
“When you trade fists with someone, you grow to understand them and… sometimes even respect them.”
His brother’s words echoed in Wang Zen’s head as he looked at his father’s smirking face.
“I don’t understand you.” Zen said to himself as he looked at his father.
“Wow,” Ding Wu said. “Master Wang ooks so much like his son.”
“Yes, Wang Zen and Master Wang do look very much alike.”
“Fine, son.” Wang Ton got up. “Let’s do this.” He touched his storage stone and a pink mace with eyes and a mouth appeared in his hand.
“Sir, please don’t!” Yin Bhiki said and was silenced when Wang Ton raised his hand.
Wang Ton charged for Zen, who got in a fighting pose. Ton raised his pink mace, its mouth pointing at Zen. Stones shot out of the mouth and landed around Zen. He later realised that the stones were seeds as green vines shot from the ground and tied him down. Zen struggled, cutting himself free from some, only for more to replace them and tie him down.
Zen could not move as his father came upon him. He slammed his mace into him, sending him airbourne. Ton dropped the mace.
“Now, do I go medium or high?” Ton touched his storage stone and a giant yellow baseball bat appeared at his side, its weight denting the ground. He first struggled to lift it but was able to put it over his shoulder.
“Damn it!” Yin Bhiki said rushng forward. “Is he trying to kill him?”
Zen began falling down. At the perfect time, Wang Ton swung his bat, slamming into Zen and sending him flying toward the house. Yin Bhiki caught him and was sent sliding back where he slammed into the wall but he kept Zen safe. Yin Bhiki sank to the ground, his arms around Wang Zen’s unconscious body.
The Red Dragon Dignataries left. Jao shook his head, a look of disgust on his face. “My son-in-law is scum.”
