《Wang Zen: Curse of Silver Eyes》Chapter 260: Overcome the Shuddering Shield?

“Meteor Kick!” Wang Zen shouted as his ki cream white ki swirled about him furiously. His momentum was sent shooting down, towards his opponent, Yin Zheng.
Yin Zheng held his hands out, preparing himself to receive Zen’s attack as if prepared to catch a ball thrown at his direction. The ki forming his Shuddering Shield Aura began moving his outstretched hands, where it vibrated. “Shuddering Shield Aura: Focus Point!”
The two attacks met. Zen’s attack met the pulsing barrier between him and Yin Zheng. His ki began to waver before it but so did the barrier, with each passing second, it shuddered less strongly. Moments passed as the two attacks tried to gain advantage but to the two boys, it felt like half an eternity.
Zen’s ki failed, dissipating before the Shuddering Shield Aura and he was left in mid air, still moving forward but with no ki to strengthen him.
Yin Zheng caught his leg and locked it with his arms. In one motion, he whipped around and slammed Zen into the ground, hard enough that a ring of dust and a web of cracks to spread from the spot his body touched the floor.
“I told you, Zen’er,” Zheng said, “I told you I would beat you down!”
Zen lied there, his movements were small but he was still conscious.
“Now, I am going to ask only once more and then I’ll let you run, where is Jun Nee.”
Zen activated his Dash Tackle! His cream white ki engulfed his body and he shot forward at Zheng from the ground.
Zheng had barely anytime to raise his arms to protect himself before Zen’s slammed into him. He crashed into a wall.
“No! I am going only ask you once, Zheng’er!” Zen shouted.
Zheng pushed him away by activating Shuddering Shield Aura.

Zen slid to a stop and charged at him. “Blitz Fist!”
His fists slowed down as soon as they entered the protective ki aura, allowing Zheng to block them and retaliate with a punch of his own, which sent Zen stumbling back. Zheng pressed his advantage, kicking Zen away and making him fall to the ground.
Zen rolled to the side. “Dash Tackle!” He charged at Zheng, his body covered with ki.
Zheng stood his ground, allowing the attack to enter the field of his aura before pushing back with his hands. When Zen’s momentum stopped, Zheng slammed his fist into his face, sending him stumbling back.
“When will you understand?” Zheng pursued, throwing a kick. Zen blocked Zheng’s kick, each attack forcing him back. “You cannot overcome my defences!” Zheng found an opening and kicked Zen in the abdomen, sending him flying back.
Zen rose to his feet. “You’re wrong!” He charged forward and leapt up.
“Fool!” Zheng said, as he was about to counter.
Zen activated his Dash Tackle and moved beyond Zheng’s counter attack, behind him.
Zen kicked as hard as he could and his foot connected with the back of Zheng’s head, sending him stumbling forward. As soon as he landed, Zen whipped around and activated his Dash Tackle aimed for Zheng’s back. The ki technique dissipated as soon as it entered the aura but Zen persisted, slamming both his fists into Zheng’s back, sending him stumbling to the ground.
“Heh, seems I’ve overcome your defences.” Zen smirked.
Zheng activated his aura as he rose to his feet. “Don’t get too cocky.”
They charged at each other again. Zen was struggling to keep up. The Shuddering Shield Aura not only dissipated his ki based attacks, it also slowed down his movements while he was in it. In addition to the fact that Zheng was no slouch in hand to hand combat, it meant that Zen was taking a lot of hits.

“Shuddering Stone Fist!” Zheng shouted.
“Focussed Blitz Fist!” Zen countered.
He was able to meet the Stone fist with 12 quick ones but stone fist overcame it and slammed into his abdomen. This sent Zen hurtling away and crashing into a pillar. Zen spat out blood and slid to the floor.
Zheng walked towards him. “You’re done.”
“N-No,” Zen said, as he rose to his feet once again. His body once again engulfed by ki. “NO!” His ki grew even stronger. He leapt up into the air. “Meteor Kick!”
“You have already tried this!” Zheng said, increasing the power of his Shuddering Shield Aura. “You do it again and this is your last attack!”
“We’ll see!” his body shot forward. “Meteor Kick!”
“Shuddering Shield Aura: Focus Point!” Zheng prepared himself to receive the attack, to beat it once again.
Zen screamed and to Zheng’s surprise, Zen overshot him and his attack slammed into the ground.
“Now see my strongest attack!” Zen shouted as his attack bore into the ground, spreading the cracks that already were there. The ground buckled then collapsed! Zen and Zheng both fell into the hole created beneath!

People. Harmony. Dysfunction
[Hiatus]People are extraordinary. They are glorious, chaotic, imaginative, grim, all kinds of smart and driven. They are capable of living in harmony or incredible destruction. They can be both caring and loyal but vicious and self-centred. However, Olivia wished that the first year of her PhD didn't have to showcase quite so much of the melting pot. People. Harmony. Dysfunction. is a story that follows a research group through the drama and challenges life throws at them. It has an (unspecified) modern setting and focuses on the characters. I've tried to rate this pre-emptively, but unfortunately it might change as the story evolves.
