The priest waves his hands and a mass of erie green energy leaves his hands and heads towards Bones and I. I feel no threat whatsoever from the energy so I ignore it and start walking towards the priest. I don't feel anything as the energy washes over me, and a quick glance shows Bones is unaffected as well.

Priest says "Wh-what?? Im-impossible! How could my spell have no effect?!"

I smile as I take the last few steps to the priest and casually swing Blitz. His head goes flying before the two heroes can even react, I guess the heroes expected the priest to do a lot more. I am about to swing at the heroes when a ghostly figure slowly appears above the priest's body.

"Mericel! I'm so glad you are okay!"

Mericel says "Huh? What happened? Where am I?"

"I'll explain later, for now kill soldiers!"

Mericel looks around and then rushes off to kill the soldiers, while I face the two heroes. Before I can attack they rush me and I am forced to defend, they attack simultaneously from different directions. I parry one and have to dodge the other.

They seem surprised that they failed but they recover and attack again in an instant. They are fast, even faster than me, it takes all I have just to keep defending. I've never encountered anyone this fast before, even with the boost I get for Anti-Hero they are a bit faster than me.

They use their speed to keep pushing me back, so far I have just barely avoided taking any damage. I can't count on that lasting, I need to finish these two off and go help Bones and Mericel. They are really well coordinated, I will have to surprise them and end it in a flash.

'Dash! Slash form!'

I step back, then as they pursue I activate dash and dart forward. Then as I execute slash form right in front of them they both fall in several pieces. Using dash they didn't even see me move, they might have seen the flash of Blitz moving in their last second of life.

With the heroes dead I move to help with the soldiers, Bones and Mericel have already killed about half of them. Since both of them are undead they don't get tired, so I could just leave them to kill all the soldiers. But that really isn't my style, so I charge in swinging Blitz.

With all three of us working together, killing the rest of the soldiers only takes a few minutes. Those that try to run at the end are quickly chased down and dealt with. Now all that is left is whoever is in the church itself.

"Mericel, I am glad to see that you are alright."

Mericel says "Okay, tell me what happened? And who is this skeleton?"

"The church attacked you guys and this priest was somehow able to trap you. This is Bones, he is my summon for lack of a better term."

Mericel says "I remember the beginning of an attack, and then I was here."

"Drog and Ruby were banished, you were captured, and several others including Leyla were taken prisoner."

Mericel says "Where are they now?"

"They should be somewhere in that church."

Mericel says "Do you want me to go scout it out?"

"Yes, please. Be careful though, they might have other spells that will affect you."

Mericel says "Okay, wait here."

Mericel disappears and while we wait I have Bones help me pile up the corpses. Of course I check them for money before tossing them on the pile, after all I will eventually need money. I can't wait to get somewhere I am accepted and can actually buy things.

Bones and I finish with the corpses and Mericel still isn't back, I'm starting to get a bit worried. Another ten minutes pass before Mericel finally returns, and she does not look happy. I can already guess the reason why.

Mericel says "There are over a hundred women held prisoner in the basement, and all of them have been abused!"

"Leyla and the others?"

Mericel says "Yes, they are there."

"We will rescue them! How about enemies?"

Mericel says "There are ten guards in the basement, and eighty or so in the main chapel."

"Is there a back way in? Can you get to the basement without going through the chapel?"

Mericel says "Yes, and yes."

"Okay, then here's the plan. I will attack the chapel through the front door while you lead Bones in the back way."

Mericel says "Are you going to turn all those bodies into skeletons?"

"No, I don't have that ability."

Mericel says "Oh, I thought you had turned into a necromancer."

"No, I am not a necromancer."

Mericel says "Well, between me and Bones you sure are starting to look like one."

"I wouldn't mind being a necromancer, but no, Bones is unique."

Mericel says "So, you plan to charge the enemy all alone?"

"Yeah, they deserve a slow and painful death, but we will have to settle for just killing them."

Mericel says "I meant how are you going to deal with that many enemies? Fifty are soldiers, twenty are acolytes, and the last ten are priests."

"I only have to worry about the soldiers, the fake priests' spells can't harm me."

Mericel says "So, what are we supposed to do?"

"I want you to lead Bones to the basement, kill the guards there, then protect the prisoners so they can't be used as hostages."

Mericel says "That will be easy enough, but are you sure you will be okay?"

"I should be fine, I doubt they are as strong as the drake was."

Mericel says "Drake?! What drake??"
