Upon hearing that command the crowd goes wild and starts chanting a name. I don't even pay attention to the name they are chanting as I turn to see which door is going to open. Even if this champion is a demon I am not too worried, I should have enough skill to match even a higher rank demon.

To my surprise when the door opens a human walks out, and I immediately feel bad. Even in the manacles, a human no matter how skilled has no real chance against me. Especially after the training Vacker has given me, I could hold my own even against a sword master.

He does have a very nice sword though, and this is a fight to the death, I can't think of a way to spare him. I wait and let him come to me, but he prances around the pit showing off for the crowd. How did this guy ever get to be a champion?

He shows off for a few minutes before finally turning to face me, he is all smiles like this is a game. When he finally attacks me I casually lean out of the way, he looks shocked that he missed. I could easily kill him right now, he isn't even defending himself.

Seriously what kind of champion is this, is he acting a fool to get me to drop my guard? He looks mad as he swings at me again, this time I don't bother to dodge. As he swings with both hands I use one hand to grab his hands in mid-swing.

He looks shocked as his swing stops instantly and he is unable to move no matter how hard he tries. Before he can think of a way to get free I squeeze slightly and crush all the bones in his hands. He screams in pain and lets go of the sword so I let him stumble away cradling his hands.

The crowd goes quiet as I pick up the sword, it suits me as a single handed sword just fine. The crowd seems to be in shock at how easily I dealt with the so-called champion. It makes me wonder what kind of people have been in this arena before me, probably only humans would be my guess.

"Ready to watch your champion die?"

Lord Shendaw says "I am ready to watch you die! Release more beasts!!"

Even though the champion is still alive several doors start to open on Lord Shendaw's command. Three doors open and release pairs of beasts, wolves, tigers, and bears. The fourth door that opens releases what looks like fifty or so goblins.

The wolves and the tigers go after each other while the pair of bears charges at me. The goblins go after the champion but I am too busy to try and save him. I dodge between the bears when they charge at me and cut one down as they pass me.

I chase after and kill the second bear, then I charge into the goblins and start slaughtering them. After what happened in the pit I hate goblins with a passion and I make sure not a single one escapes my new blade. The wolves and tigers are still fighting by the time I kill the last goblin so I head their way.

They are all wounded from fighting each other so I have no problem at all finishing off the four of them. That leaves me as the only one standing in the arena with part of the crowd going wild. The rest, those close to Lord Shendaw, are completely silent, while the lord looks too mad to speak.

Lord Shendaw says "Put him back in his cell. Clear the arena! Beastmaster prepare the final beast!"

While I am curious what this final beast might be I return to my cell without causing any problems. As soon as the door closes behind me I yell for the jailer and ask what the final beast is. Unfortunately, he doesn't know, the final beast has never been seen before as far as he knows.

So what kind of beast do they have that they have kept stored until now? I should probably make my escape now, but if I do my curiosity will drive me nuts. So I sit and wait for the door to reopen so I can go out and satisfy my curiosity.

I am definitely going to have to edit the story before I tell the girls when I get back. If they knew I was risking my life just to see what big bad beast they have here they would beat the crap out of me. Then again they are probably going to anyway for letting myself get kidnapped.

Beyond the iron door I can hear the noise level rising, it looks like it is almost time. When the door rises I walk out to see the seating completely full, there are even people standing in the aisles and above the seats. Seems almost everyone in the castle is here, I even see soldiers in the crowd.

Everyone must want to see this final beast, this would be the perfect time for the allied lords to attack. I doubt there is even anyone on watch at this point, everyone is here to watch my fight. Depending on what the beast is they might be here to watch my gruesome death.

Lord Shendaw says "Congratulations on being the first to ever face this beast. I look forward to watching it rip you apart!"

"You have promised me death many times now. Is this one going to live up to the hype?"

Lord Shendaw says "Oh, I guarantee you've never faced anything like this!"

"Oh, yeah? So what if I win yet again? Got a final final beast hidden away?"

Lord Shendaw says "No, this is the last beast, you have killed all the others. If you somehow manage to win this fight then you win your freedom!"

"Seriously? If I kill this pet of yours I am free?"

Lord Shendaw says "Yes, if you win then you are free. You have my word!"

"Alright, let's do this! Bring it on!"

Lord Shendaw says "Release the Hydra!!"
