Ambrose says "Even if you can handle it yourself, aren't you leaving soon?"

"Yes, but I don't plan to be gone for too long. Hopefully, I will be back before things here come to a head."

Sarah says "If not, trust your people to handle it."

Borrik says "Yeah, and if need be my police will be on your side."

"Thank you."

Roddick says "You can count on the mages guild to give you our full support!"

Ambrose says "Wait a second! The mages always remain neutral, no matter what!"

Roddick says "Considering how much we owe Ash, the guild will not remain neutral."

Ambrose says "Belliza, why aren't you stopping this fool?"

Belliza says "We currently owe Ash about twenty million gold."

Ambrose yells "WHAT?!?!"

Jezzel says "Master, calm down! Deep breaths! Don't you dare have a heart attack on me!"

Ambrose says "I'm fine. I'm fine!"

Borrik says "That is a huge sum of money, can I ask why you owe Ash so much?"

Roddick says "He sold us some priceless artifacts."

Jezzel says "Oh, from the elven city?"

Belliza says "Yes!"

Borrik says "Are they really worth so much?"

Roddick says "Oh, yes! In all honesty they are probably worth more than we are paying."

Ambrose says "This is insane! That amount would make Ash the richest man in the city!"

"Don't worry, I plan to spend the majority of it."

Ambrose says "On what?!"

"Building a city."

Roddick says "A city? Where?"

"In the lands of the beastmen. It will be a city for all the outcasts to live in."

Borrik says "Haha! A beastman city! People are going to throw fits over this!"

Sarah says "Why do you say that?"

Borrik says "Everyone looks down on the beastmen as savages, but a city will change that!"

Ambrose says "That is true. Pine especially will throw a fit!"

Borrik says "Oh, I want to see that! Could we maybe host a dinner or something and announce it there?"

Ambrose says "No! As much fun as that might be, we do not need to make the situation any worse."

Roddick says "You, suggesting the wiser course? Are you feeling well?"

Ambrose says "Why not? We will have fighting in the streets either way. Better to only have it happen once."

"It is a moot point, the city will not be started anytime soon. Pine will be either dead or a pauper before construction of the city begins."

Borrik says "Hopefully dead!"

Ambrose says "Running this city would certainly be easier without him around."

Roddick says "Does that mean you won't complain when we re-elect you?"

Ambrose says "Of course not!"

Jezzel says "No matter what happens, he will find something to complain about!"

They continue bickering back and forth and while it is entertaining it is also a waste of time. Motioning Vacker to follow me I get up from the table and move away. When Vacker joins me I take out the katana and wakizashi that Hyung made and hand them to him.

Vacker says "What are these? They look like smaller versions of Blitz."

"They basically are, they come from the same culture. They require a different fighting style, but I thought you might enjoy them."

Vacker says "They are beautiful, thank you."

A few minutes later I say goodnight to everyone and head back to the inn with Sarah. After thanking her for all her hard work I head upstairs, only to find the girls have gone to bed early. I guess they wanted to avoid me as part of my punishment or something.

Sitting down at the table I pull out the naginata, time to try out divine enchanting. However, as soon as I start channeling divine power into it I lose all control. Both my divine and sacred power start pouring into the naginata and I can't stop it.

The naginata is covered in a blinding golden glow, it is bright enough I am worried it will wake up the girls. The glow fades after about thirty minutes and I barely have any divine or sacred power left. Whatever is going on it sure took a huge amount of power, so I examine the thing to find out what it did.

'Huh? What exactly did I just do? How did I make an artifact?!'

"Um, Seronia?"

Seronia says "Yes, Ash?"

"Can you tell me what I just did?"

Seronia says "Why? What did you do now?"

"Well, I wanted to experiment with divine power and enchanting."

Seronia says "You what?!?"

The next thing I know the room starts vibrating with power and two glowing presences appear. I can instantly tell they are not projections, the goddesses have come in person. They don't normally have the power to do so, which is when I start to think I really messed up.

Krenocia says "What's the emergency?"

Seronia says "This idiot tried enchanting with divine power!"

Krenocia says "What?! Why would you do something so foolish, Ash?"

"I was just experimenting to see if I could!"

Seronia says "You are lucky you didn't kill yourself!"

"What? Why would enchanting kill me?"

Krenocia says "It is because you are using borrowed power."

"Is that why I lost control as soon as I started?"

Krenocia says "Yes, only a holy being that is able to generate divine power can control the power directly."

Seronia says "You are only borrowing our power to fuel your spells! Do not attempt to do anything else with it!"

"You could have told me that sooner! Besides, it worked!"

Krenocia says "Only because you got lucky! If you hadn't had enough power then the enchantment would have used your life force!"

Seronia says "It could have even sucked your soul into the weapon and you would have been trapped for all time!"

"I didn't know that. I'm sorry. I won't do it again."

As the goddesses continue to berate me, out of the corner of my eye I see three heads. The girls are peeking around the edge of the door, watching and smiling. It seems they are enjoying watching me get yelled at by two angry goddesses.
