Just as I am finishing playing with the field and thinking of what else to try I hear cracking sounds. I quickly run over to Lizzy, only to see small cracks spreading all over her cocoon. After a minute the entire cocoon shatters sending pieces of rock everywhere.

As soon as the cocoon shatters I start brushing dust and rock chips away from Lizzy. The first thing I do is look for changes, it is actually a relief when I don't find any wings. However, what I do find is another pair of legs, Lizzy now has six legs.

'Lizzy, how are you feeling?'

Lizzy 'I feel like I haven't moved in a year. Everything hurts!'

'Be careful! Take it slow getting up, it will take some getting used to.'

Lizzy 'What will take getting used to?'

'You have six legs now.'

Lizzy 'I WHAT?!'

Of course, despite my warning, Lizzy tries to get up so she can look at herself. Her new pair of legs get tangled with the others and she ends up falling over, almost crushing me. In the end I have to help position her new legs in order for Lizzy to be able to stand up.

Once she is on her feet it is a lot easier for her to examine her new legs. Then it is simply a matter of getting used to controlling them, just like I had to with my wings. Since she already has four legs she has a lot easier time than I did with my wings.

There are also no embarassing moments for her like when I was learning to fly. She is soon walking in circles around the temple to get used to moving with six legs. During this Ekard wakes up from his nap, when he sees what is going on he runs over to join in.

Since he is too small to keep up with Lizzy he waits until she comes around again. When she passes him he jumps up and grabs her tail, then hangs on for dear life. He is soon laughing as he swings around on the end of her tail, especially once her speed increases.

'So, how is it?'

Lizzy 'I am still getting used to it, but I can already tell it is amazing. Not only has my speed increased, but I feel like no terrain will ever slow me down.'

'That's great! So you are back to being faster than me I am guessing?'

Lizzy 'Oh, absolutely! My top speed is probably double what it was before!'

'That's a huge improvement! Any other changes?'

Lizzy 'I haven't tested it out yet, but I feel like I can control the earth around me if I want to.'

'Really? We should test it out!'

We head outside of the temple and Lizzy starts testing out her powers. Ekard continues riding her tail as she roams around trying out different things. Then, upon my suggestion, she uses her new powers to create a small scale castle out of rock.

It has multiple rooms and even slides inside, as soon as Ekard sees it he goes nuts. His new playground captivates his attention for hours, allowing Lizzy and I time to chat. As we experiment with her power it ends up being closer to earth bending than using magic.

Since that is the case I am able to give her all sorts of ideas on what she can do with it. Describing things is rather limited, so I create a soulscape and bring both of them into it. Then I have them sit down and watch both Avatar the Airbender series.

For Lizzy it is really useful, for Ekard it is just entertaining, but there is a drawback. Now that Ekard has seen tv he wants to watch more and starts begging endlessly. Luckily, I have plenty I can show him, the problem is I can only do so inside the soulscape.

Ekard says "Mama, more!?"

"Not right now, it's time for dinner."

Ekard says "Yay, food!"

Lizzy actually joins in the cheering for food, she hasn't eaten in days thanks to the cocoon. She is surprised when she sees the food that comes out of the new pouch. So over dinner I end up telling her about my conversation with the goddesses.

Other than that I spend some time trying to figure out how I can show Ekard anime without going into the soulscape. From working on my core I know that sacred power can be programmed, so I start experimenting. My goal is to program sacred power with anime so that it can play without me having to concentrate on it.

That way Ekard can be entertained and I will have free time to work on other things. I quickly realize that it can work, but the power needs a container, without one the power dissipates. What I need is basically a magic version of a dvd, but I don't have anything to work with.

Lizzy says "Ahem! Well, this feels a little weird."

"You can talk now?!"

Lizzy says "It seems like it. How is it? Do I sound weird?"

"No, it's good! In fact you sound surprisingly feminine and dainty considering your body size."

Lizzy says "And what's that supposed to mean? Are you calling me fat?!"

"What?! Of course not!!"

Lizzy says "Haha! Relax, I was just teasing you!"

Ekard says "Mama, scared?"

"Yes, Lizzy is very scary! She even threatened to bite me if she didn't like your name."

Ekard says "Don't bully mama!"

Lizzy says "Ekard, I'm not bullying him. We are just playing around."

"Yeah, don't worry. Your Aunty Lizzy won't hurt me."

Lizzy says "Aunty Lizzy?"

"Yeah, it seems fitting."

Ekard says "Aunty?"

Lizzy says "Yep, that's me."

Ekard says "Not the mama!"

Hearing that I instantly start laughing, I end up laughing so hard I fall over. Thinking of one of my favorite shows as a kid, I seriously consider getting Ekard a frying pan. Just the thought of it has me laughing so hard that I can barely breathe.

Lizzy says "What is so funny?"

Unable to help myself I have Lizzy create a screen out of rock and start channeling power into it. It takes a few trys but I am able to figure out how to project the show onto the screen. The only drawback is I have to be touching the screen and need to constantly channel power into it.

Without ending the cultivation technique I only have the sacred power I gained from my last rank up. That is barely enough to show them a couple of episodes, but it is enough for Lizzy to get the joke. Once my power is exhausted it is time for bed, I plan to leave the underground in the morning.

That is going to mean leaving Lizzy behind, at least temporarily, since she won't fit up the stairs. In fact I can't be sure if she will fit down the river, so I will wait and summon her once I am outside. Then, once she has room to run, we can test out her new top speed.
